Tributes have poured in for Ellie Scanlan, 30, who passed away on July 1.
A probe has been launched after a woman was found dead at a flat in Dundee.
Emergency services were called to a property on Tullideph Street at around 3.10pm on Tuesday, July 1.

A 30-year-old woman was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Police are treating her death as unexplained and enquiries remain ongoing.

She has been named locally as Ellie Scanlan.
Her sister Gigi revealed she had passed away in her sleep and her mum raised the alarm.
Sharing the family's grief, she wrote: "Ellie passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday morning and was found by our mum. While our grief is immeasurable, we will never forget Ellie, her spirit, her strength, and everything she stood for.
"She was truly one of life's angels. She fought fiercely and fearlessly for what she believed in, and she gave generously to everyone and every cause that touched her heart.

"She was a true fighter for what was right and spent her life trying to make the world a little lighter for those around her, because as she always knew, life is tough, but she made it easier just by being in it.
"We love you, El. You were far too good for this world."
Dundee -based DJ Hannah Laing led the tributes to the talented footballer.

In a post describing her as her "best mate" and "sister" she said: "My best mate is gone and now a piece of me too, words can't comprehend it.'
"You weren't just my friend, you were my sister.
"Everyone would always comment on how our personalities were so similar.

"We got into a s*** load of trouble growing up. We went through every stage of life together.
"You were at my first ever gig. You always had my back, loyal to the core.
"I'll cherish those mischievous memories for the rest of my life.

"I'll miss your kindness, your craziness, your wild stories.
"Rest in peace my sister. I'll carry you with me forever."
Ellie was a talented sportswoman and played at Glenrothes Strollers Ladies Football Club last season.

The club announced they would retire her 22 shirt in her memory.
Club manager Pauline Harley said: 'She was a great person who was so unselfish and wanted the best for people.
'She had planned on coming back this year. A lovely girl who will be missed.'

easyJet flight met by police after 'abusive' passenger urinates in aisle

Police officers stormed the plane on arrival in Tenerife on Wednesday morning. A disruptive passenger on board an easyJet flight is said to have urinated in the aisle, forcing staff to call ahead for police to meet the plane on arrival as a rowdy group caused trouble. The scenes played out on board the service from Birmingham to Tenerife South on Wednesday, July 2, with air traffic controllers giving it priority landing on the Spanish island, where it arrived just before 3.30am. ‌ Local newspaper Canarian Weekly reported the cabin crew had requested "urgent assistance" after the incident, with "significant disturbance" caused. The airline confirmed the group of passengers had become "abusive and threatening" during the flight. ‌ Police boarded the plane on arrival in Tenerife, the Mirror reports. However, it is not known whether any arrests were made. A spokesperson for easyJet said: "We can confirm that flight EZY6607 from Birmingham to Tenerife on 2 July was met by police on arrival due to a group of passengers behaving disruptively onboard. "easyJet's crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations. They acted quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers was not compromised at any time. The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew is always easyJet's priority, and we do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour onboard." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! It comes just weeks after police were called to an easyJet flight bound for Marrakech in May, which had descended into chaos by rowdy British passengers on a stag party. Two men reportedly vaped on board, drank heavily and subjected the crew to abuse. Despite six warnings from staff, they continued to act in a rowdy manner, and the pilot was forced to divert to Faro, Portugal, leaving fellow passengers fuming. ‌ A witness claimed: "The men were vaping in their seats and toilet, drinking heavily and to my opinion already drunk or close to when boarding. They were being abusive towards staff on the flight and I think they had an undertone of homophobia toward the head steward." An easyJet spokesperson said the flight, from London Gatwick to Marrakech on May 19, "diverted to Faro and was met by police upon arrival due to a group of passengers behaving disruptively onboard". Once the passengers had left the aircraft, the flight then continued to Marrakech. "Our cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and acted quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers was not compromised at any time. The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew is always easyJet's priority and we do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour onboard."

Baby shower rammy left mum with bald patch after ‘baby bingo' game sparks scrap

The niece of darts legend Jocky Wilson has been told to pay £500 compensation after she admitted assaulting a guest at the baby shower in Fife last year. The niece of darts legend and former world champion Jocky Wilson has been ordered to pay £500 compensation for assaulting a woman at her daughters baby shower party. Sarah Wilson, 45, appeared for sentence after feuding families turned the pre-birth celebrations into chaos which ended with the victim's hair being pulled out. ‌ The party last May at Lochore Miners Welfare Institute in Lochore, Fife, took place before Sarah Wilson's daughter Chantelle gave birth. ‌ During a trial last month, Wilson from Kirkcaldy admitted assaulting Pamela Ritchie by seizing her by the hair. Her other daughter Chardonnay, 20, was found guilty of assaulting a 61-year-old gran by attempting to remove a feeding tube. The trial heard there was growing hostility between the two families in the run up to the get-together. Light-hearted games such as 'Baby Bingo' were ruined by offensive comments fired back and forward across the hall and the bad feeling escalated to violence outside the hall. There were the claims about abusive comments aimed at the Wilsons being written on a paper plate. In an earlier game one guest suggested Chantelle would rather open a bottle of wine than a bottle for the baby. ‌ Sarah Wilson's solicitor Stephen Morrison said yesterday: 'This was a baby shower celebration that turned sour for one reason or another. She absolutely regrets the incident and she hadn't been drinking that day. "She continues to have a relationship with her daughter's partner but not with the rest of his family. There's no reason to believe there will be a repetition of this behaviour as she's not likely to put herself into another family situation like this.' ‌ The solicitor said his client suffered from physical and mental health issues, receives over £2,000 a month in benefits and was unfit to do unpaid work. He said Sarah Wilson had two previous convictions for similar offences and one of these in particular was 'not insignificant'. ‌ Sheriff Susan Duff commented: "Mrs Ritchie's evidence was that she was left with a bald section on her head as a chunk of hair had been pulled out." The sheriff ordered £500 compensation to be paid to the victim and added she was unimpressed by Wilson's reaction in the dock. She told Wilson's lawyer she would have to return to court in November make sure the money had been paid, adding: 'Your client's face said an awful lot about what she thought of the sentence.' Although found guilty, Sheriff Duff had previously granted Chardonnay Wilson an absolute discharge as a conviction on her record would have ended her career as a carer for the elderly. Jocky Wilson, from Kirkcaldy, was world champion in 1982 and 1989 and one of the biggest stars of the games. He retired to Kirkcaldy in 1995 and died at the age of 62 in 2012.
