The duo beat out London couple Rosie and Wes and Jenny and Dev from Nantwich to get to the final round.
If they solved just a four letter lingo puzzle in the final round, they would get half the money they banked during the game.
By just guessing three letters within a time limit, they would take home a decent pot of £1,870.
If they guessed the right characters both a four letter word and a five letter word they would have gotten £3,740.

If they could have done both, as well as a six letter Lingo in 90 seconds, their winnings would have been doubled to £7,480.

Rob also had to pass on his first five letter word as he could not think of the word 'tough'.
Adil remarked: "That was tough," in response as the bothers shared their disappointment.
However, he correctly guessed the word 'stamp' on his first try of his second language puzzle.

The contestants were definitely going home with £3,740, and things were looking good for the pair with 30 seconds left on the clock.
However, they just couldn't get the right word for the last six letter word.
The first word they guessed was 'insane,' for which the letter 'n' was placed in the correct position with 'a' and 'e' getting an orange light.
Jack and Rob then tried to guess similar words which included 'insure' and 'invest'.
No! No! Don't tell me you've got it now, that would be really annoying!

However, they ran out of time before they eventually got to the correct word.
Both of the siblings were left extremely frustrated as they guessed that the correct word was 'inside', just seconds after the clock ran out.
The host exclaimed: "No! No! Don't tell me you've got it now, that would be really annoying!"
Looking at the huge screen he jokingly added: "Don't show us! Don't show us!"
After the result was confirmed to all present in the studio, Adil tried to console his contestants as he remarked: "I'm more annoyed than you are!"

Love Island favourite rushed to hospital after suffering painful injury in villa
A favourite to win this season of Love Island has had to be hospitalised after suffering an injury. Jamie Rhodes, who entered the show as a bombshell during Casa Amor, suffered the injury while in the villa in Majorca, and had to be brought to A&E on the island. It's understood that Jamie, who's coupled up with Yasmin Pettet, stood on a screw in the villa, and was brought to A&E with filming being thrown into chaos as a result. A favourite to win this season of Love Island has had to be hospitalised after suffering an injury. Pic: ITV 'Jamie was taken to hospital after an accident in the villa,' a source told the Sun. 'He stepped on a screw in the garden and after chatting to the villa medics they made the decision to take him to hospital. 'Filming was briefly paused and everyone was really worried as it's quite rare anyone gets taken out of the villa.' Bosses admitted that they were worried he was going to be exposed to the outside — and that other islanders would be injured — but he was bandaged up and was able to walk around, with him returning to the villa shortly after. Jamie Rhodes stepped on a screw and had to be brought to A&E in Majorca. Pic: ITV2 Jamie's injury came as the show was accused of being fixed, after it emerged that two of the islanders knew each other before entering the villa last week. Reports in The Irish Sun last week said that islanders Ty and Lauren were already 'acquainted' after they took part in the 'unfilmed' rehearsal week a few months ago, which then meant they were invited back to take part in Casa Amor. 'Ty and Lauren are acting like they've only just met but that's far from the case,' it was reported. The show was recently embroiled in a new fix scandal after it emerged that two of the islanders knew each other before entering the villa. Pic: ITV 'They hooked up during the dry run, which is where a fake cast moves into the villa to test out everything from camera angles, to kitchen appliances and run-through challenges, and then they even saw each other on the outside before ITV invited them back to be part of Casa Amor. 'Now they're both in the main villa pretending like none of this ever happened but it's all entirely fake and ITV know about it. Viewers deserve to know it's a huge sham.'
