Lisa Snowdon' facelift confession - 'I love tweakments!'

This Morning regular Lisa Snowdon has opened up on why a person's choices, from a boob job or a facelift - are nobody else's business, as she discusses marriage and TV 'wobbles' Television and radio presenter Lisa Snowdon has been in the showbiz spotlight for more than three decades. Her rise to fame kicked off at just 19 when she was discovered dancing in a London club by a model scout, leading to a successful modelling career with appearances on the cover of top fashion magazines and campaigns for brands including Gucci and Dove. Transitioning to TV, Lisa has made her mark on iconic shows including Strictly, I'm A Celebrity, Celebrity MasterChef — which she won — and This Morning. She was also a presenter on Capital London's breakfast radio show for seven years. Lisa is also in a good place when it comes to love. When we catch up with the 53-year-old, e ngaged to long-time partner George Smart since 2016, she looks relaxed and happy — and tells us with a smile that the pair couldn't be more committed to each other, wedding rings or not. ‌ ‌ 'Listen, I love George so, so much,' she says. 'And I honestly don't think that having a marriage would change that love, you know. I don't think it would make it stronger.' While they have yet to tie the knot, Lisa insists the couple's bond runs deep. 'Being engaged already feels like a wedding to me. I really feel like we're committed to each other. I think we probably will get married at some point but there are just so many other things on our to-do list.' Known for their shared love of adventure, Lisa and George, 44, are often jet-setting around the globe, and the idea of a destination wedding certainly appeals. 'I went to a place in Italy recently, and I was like, 'Oh my God, this would be amazing for a wedding,'' she says. 'We do talk about it, we just haven't got around to planning it.' Despite the lack of a date, Lisa's commitment couldn't be clearer, as she jokes, 'He's my partner for life, so there's no way he's getting away from me and I'm getting away from him, regardless of whether we've got a contract.' Blissfully loved-up, it's no surpris e Lisa has a gorgeous glow, but she's refreshingly honest about the skin treatments that help maintain her beautiful complexion. She opens up about her love for 'tweakments', and reveals she has become obsessed with Morpheus8, which she describes as a 'deep, intense microneedling'. ‌ 'I love all that stuff. I think it's amazing, I think it's up to the individual what they want to do,' she says. 'If somebody's deeply unhappy and they want to do a neck lift, face lift, boob job or whatever to their body, it's totally up to them. And I think there are some amazing treatments, subtle and more extreme, that can be done. I'm open to all that. Absolutely.' On the career front, Lisa continues to shine, with her regular slot as a fashion expert on ITV 's This Morning a highlight. She says proudly, 'I think it must be coming up to 10 years that I've been on the show. Yes, it's been a long time. And what I guess I love about it is that I get to work with our viewers.' Walking us through the magic of the makeover — when a viewer gets transformed in her expert hands — she explains, 'You see them first thing, they come in their own clothes, we style them up, we get them into hair and make-up, we get them out on the catwalk. It's a beautiful, empowering moment for them. I love that part about my job. I'm a girls' girl and I love to empower women. Women supporting women is what I'm all about.' ‌ But even after years in the entertainment business, Lisa giggles that, when it comes to live television, anything can happen. 'I mean, live TV... there are always things that go wrong! You might say a word and think, 'Oh God, I didn't mean that,' but that's just live TV. And onceit's out there, it's done. There's no going back.' A seasoned presenter, Lisa takes the occasional hiccup in her stride, but she also confesses quietly that her turbulent journey through perimenopause really affected her confidence on-camera. 'I was in the depths of perimenopause and the brain fog was there, and I was a bit like a rabbit in the headlights a couple of times. When I look back at it, you can't tell, but in my head, I was like… panic. There were a couple of shows where I felt a bit... wobbly.' ‌ But now, she says, 'I just feel really blessed that I've had a very long career and that I'm still enjoying it.' Although she's always been 'go go go' when it comes to work, she does try to strike a healthy work-life balance and reconnect with her fiancé after a busy week. 'That's something that we really aspire to have,' she says. 'Last week, for example, I was on a train a lot. I was up and down and I had to stay away one night, but we made up for it when I had a weekend off. We always kind of reconnect. It's a good work-life balance, which is something I've really wanted to get hold of, because otherwise, what's the point?' Lisa has spoken openly in the past about not having children, which she details in her book Just Getting Started . She says writing about that journey was an emotional and healing process for her. 'I think I came to terms with that, and it was really powerful when I wrote my book. I just really got a lot of that out. Writing about it was super cathartic.' Now, Lisa is busy hosting her podcast with Andy Goldstein, We're Not Getting Any Younger, and has some new work projects coming up that are 'very exciting'. 'But sorry,' she adds, ' I can't reveal anything just yet!' She tells us she has also partnered with Zespri SunGold kiwifruit as she continues to advocate for health and wellness. 'Diet is so important to feeling good,' she says. 'And just one of these golden fruits gives me all I need to tackle the day.'

Coronation Street's Nina ‘works out' what she and Summer did in spoiler video

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A newly released Coronation Street spoiler clip reveals the growing tension between Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) and Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) as they grapple with the lingering effects of the drug-fuelled night they can barely recall. Still shaken, the girls are haunted by hazy memories and rising panic. As they try to piece together what really happened, a terrifying thought begins to take hold: What if the figure they vaguely remember was Gary Windass (Mikey North), and it wasn't just a hallucination? Could they have unintentionally hurt him…and is that why he's now missing? Nina is clearly consumed by guilt, fearing that they could be somehow involved with Gary's disappearance. She voices her concerns to Summer in Roy's, but Summer urges her that they must move on and try to forget about that night, and it was possibly just a hallucination as a result of the drugs. But Nina can't let it go. Meanwhile, Gary's disappearance becomes official when Maria reports him missing to the police. DS Kit reveals that a man has been admitted to the hospital in a coma, sparking Lisa's suspicion that it could be Gary. However, hopes are dashed when Kit later confirms the patient isn't him, though he promises Maria he'll do all he can to find her husband. More Trending With Gary now officially missing and no explanation for his absence, the weight of the unknown begins to take its toll on Nina. Her sense of dread deepens when she overhears Maria confiding that Gary hasn't made any bank transactions since June 23rd, the very night they're concerned about. Summer attempts to reassure her, pointing out there's been no police report of an assault. But Nina remains unconvinced. At the hospital, Gary lies unconscious as a nurse tells a visitor that 'Chesney' is improving, but who is this mysterious woman sitting by Gary's bedside? And why is she keeping his identity a secret? As the mystery deepens, a series of flashbacks start to unravel what really happened that night, one things for certain the truth will come out in the end. 'I brought my husband on First Dates with another woman and this is how it went'

'I brought my husband on First Dates with another woman and this is how it went' First Dates fans will be in for a treat tonight as the hit Channel 4 dating show returns for a brand new series, and sees a couple on a with a third person First Dates reveals first throuple date in preview clip A throuple appearing on First Dates has shared their experience of making history on the Channel 4 show. The reality programme has welcomed a multitude of hopeful romantics through the doors of the First Dates restaurant, where they are greeted by I'm A Celebrity star and maître d', Fred Sirieix, and barman Merlin Griffiths. ‌ However, in tonight's episode, which marks the start of the new series, one woman was surprised to discover that she was being paired with not just one, but two individuals. ‌ Sophie, a mother of three, had never been on a date with a woman before and was seeking someone alternative, authentic, and open-minded. Her date with Emily certainly fit the bill. The duo quickly hit it off, with Sophie managing to overcome her initial nerves to reveal to Emily that she was married and that her husband Ricki was waiting at the bar to join them, reports the Mirror. The couple, who have been together for a decade and tied the knot in 2018, were hoping to expand their marriage by inviting someone else into their relationship. Article continues below "We were curious to explore new connections together, and thought, why not? It felt like the right time to do something bold and go for it," Sophie later revealed in an exclusive interview with The Mirror. "It was exciting but nerve-wracking at the same time." Sophie and Ricki were looking to open up their marriage (Image: Channel 4 ) ‌ Sophie and Ricki had contemplated opening up their relationship two years after they first met and had once tried out a "lifestyle club" where they were welcomed with "open arms", but now they were ready to take things to the next level. "We've always been very private, and never really spoken to other people about our relationship and never had the chance to open it up. We've had a couple of experiences with friends but nothing has ever developed from that," she revealed. Sophie disclosed to Ricki two years prior that she identified as bisexual and was curious about exploring this part of her identity, to which he was receptive. Since they hadn't come across the right individual for such exploration, their participation in First Dates marked their inaugural introduction to another person. ‌ Describing her initial apprehension, Sophie shared: "I was quite nervous walking in, I feel like the idea of having a blind date - especially when you haven't dated for a long time - was very nerve-wracking to me. But as soon as I walked in, I felt really welcomed and those nerves went away fairly quickly." On the other hand, Ricki confessed that whilst he was filled more with excitement than nerves, the apps had failed to yield the connection they sought. Emily was on a date with Sophie when Ricki joined (Image: Channel 4 ) ‌ "There aren't many dating apps for couples looking for singles," he lamented. "And if there are, it's purely (within our experiences) just for sexual encounters, and that's not what we were looking for." Their encounter with Emily on First Dates seemed positive, with both Sophie and Ricki feeling an immediate sense of connection, while Emily too expressed that she had an "amazing" experience from her perspective in the interview. She expressed her excitement about the unique dating experience, saying: "It was an exciting opportunity, and obviously, for me, I didn't know what I was going into in terms of who the date was going to be. I'm very pansexual, I've dated all the genders, all the colours of the rainbow, and I didn't know if it was going to be a guy or a girl, someone in between, or a couple because I definitely expressed that was an interest of mine as well. The way the date played out was amazing." ‌ Like Ricki, Emily had not found success with dating apps and saw First Dates as an opportunity to meet new people. Sophie admitted she was excited but nervous beforehand (Image: Channel 4 ) She shared her enthusiasm for dating and meeting new individuals: "I love dating and I love meeting new people, I think meeting new people is the meaning of life to be honest, making new connections, and so I thought what a fun and interesting way to meet some cool people," she said. ‌ The massage therapist elaborated on her past experiences: "I've dated couples before and really enjoyed it in the past, [but] it's quite hard to find the right dynamic. Obviously dating is hard enough just trying to find two people that match, so to find a dynamic where all three people are all compatible is harder sometimes." Upon seeing Sophie, Emily immediately felt "really happy" and experienced a "wave of relief," admitting, "I had a huge crush on Sophie." Despite Ricki not being her typical choice, Emily confessed that his "warmth and humour" became apparent within minutes of their encounter. ‌ Emily called the date a 'nice surprise' (Image: Channel 4 ) She concluded by emphasising the importance of connection: "We all got on really well, and to be honest, energy and personality tend to be the driver of who I end up with." Emily, who initially was unaware that she had been set up with both Sophie and Ricki on her date, later revealed she wasn't "shocked" but pleasantly "nicely surprised." ‌ "I would have been very happy with just dating Sophie alone, but it was a nice little surprise for me; I wasn't worried at all," she said. Emily, Sophie, and Ricki, not only experienced success on their date but also expressed pride in contributing to an empowering narrative through First Dates. Things seemed to go well for the trio (Image: Channel 4 ) ‌ "I feel really honoured that I was part of First Dates' first three-way date because it hasn't been done before and I think it does break down a lot of stigma," shared Emily, who has been featured previously on Channel 4's Open House: The Great Sex Experiment. She differentiated her experiences on the two shows, saying, "With Open House, it's all very raunchy and risky and a lot of things go wrong but with First Dates, I hope it comes across that for me, it was really amazing, we had a great connection, and actually these things aren't really taboo at all." "It's just three people who really get along, having a nice time. And I think that people make it a lot deeper than it needs to be, it's really just not that deep." Article continues below Sophie echoed this sentiment and acknowledged the unique opportunity they had: "I really like the fact that we've had this opportunity to be able to be the first people to do it, it's exciting for us, we love that. Hopefully it does provide an empowering message to other couples that may be wanting to explore those sorts of connections too." First Dates airs Fridays at 10pm on Channel 4.
