Kylian Mbappé sues former club Paris Saint-Germain for 'moral harassment' after tense exit from French side

Real Madrid star forward Kylian Mbappé is suing his former club Paris Saint-Germain for moral harassment over his tense exit from the club in 2024. The Paris prosecutor's office confirmed the legal filing on Thursday, per the Associated Press.
This follows Mbappé's legal team saying in April it would take action against PSG. The French star claims the club owes him €55 million ($61 million) in unpaid wages, and Mbappé also expressed dissatisfaction over how the club treated him in his final season.

After declining a contract extension, the 2018 World Cup winner was sidelined for most of PSG's 2023-24 campaign and booed at his final game at the Parc des Princes.
According to the prosecutor's office, the 26-year-old is "denouncing the 'lofting' he claimed to have been subjected to at Paris Saint-Germain." In France, the term "lofting" refers to isolating a player from the team due to administrative or disciplinary-related matters.
PSG signed Mbappé from Monaco in 2017 and he since helped the club to seven domestic Ligue 1 titles. They appeared in the 2020 Champions League final in 2020 but lost to Bayern Munich. Mbappé scored 256 goals in 308 appearances for the club.

In 2022, PSG offered Mbappé the most lucrative deal in club history: a three-year, €630 million (approximately $681 million) contract. However, per the AP, Mbappé was reportedly disappointed after the promise to sign key players to play alongside him was not fulfilled. PSG had Neymar, Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos alongside Mbappé from 2021 through 2023 but failed to find success outside of France.
In June 2023, Mbappé told PSG he would not exercise his player option and joined Real Madrid on a free transfer. Mbappé's departure did not go as smoothly, as he was left out of PSG's Japan and South Korea tours and trained separately from the first team. He was also sidelined for their opening game that season, but eventually returned to the field despite the visible tension with the club.
Mbappé scored 35 goals and three assists in the first season of his five-year deal with Real Madrid.
PSG won the Champions League title after steamrolling Inter, 5-0, in May. Mbappé insisted he was not "bitter" after PSG won the title after his exit.

Real Madrid fans alarmed by superstar's physical transformation as he continues recovery from illness

Kylian Mbappe has had a difficult few days. Just before Real Madrid's FIFA Club World Cup clash against Al-Hilal, news broke that the French forward had been hospitalised with gastroenteritis. While the issue did not appear serious at first, things quickly took a worrying turn as his condition worsened and he needed medical care. Advertisement Although Mbappe has since been discharged and is now back in training in Miami, he is far from his usual self. He was ruled out of the match against Pachuca and looks set to miss the final group stage encounter against RB Salzburg too. In photos shared by the club, a noticeable drop in both weight and muscle mass has been seen, likely caused by the severe dehydration he experienced during his illness. Visible physical decline After spending several days out of the spotlight, Mbappe has finally reappeared in training. While he has started working out again, he is still training indoors, away from the main pitch. Advertisement The images from Real Madrid's training camp in Palm Beach clearly show that he has not yet regained his full physical shape. Even his closest circle admits the recovery process has been more challenging than expected. He was already feeling discomfort before being admitted to the hospital, and the illness took a toll on his overall strength. Now, although on the mend, Mbappe is taking things slowly to avoid any setbacks. He has been seen working in the gym alongside other first-team players, who were engaged in recovery exercises after their last match. His absence has certainly been felt. As Real Madrid's top attacking option, not having him on the pitch is a blow. However, manager Xabi Alonso remains positive. He believes in the strength of the squad and is focused on refining team tactics. The coaching staff continues to work hard and ensure the group stays sharp until Mbappe is fully fit and ready to return.

Former Ravens kicker Justin Tucker suspended 10 games for violating NFL's conduct policy

Former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has been suspended for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 regular season for violations of the NFL's personal conduct policy, the league announced Thursday. Tucker, who was released by the Ravens following multiple allegations of sexually inappropriate behavior by Baltimore-area massage therapists, will be eligible for reinstatement on Nov. 11. Advertisement The NFL had been investigating the allegations, which were made public in a series of reports by The Baltimore Banner in January. Tucker was accused of inappropriate sexual behavior by 16 Baltimore-area massage therapists from eight different spas in alleged incidents dating back to 2012. Tucker has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, calling the allegations 'unequivocally false.' 'We are disappointed with the NFL's decision,' Tucker's agent, Rob Roche, said in a statement to The Athletic. 'Justin has always strived to carry himself in a way that would make his family and community proud. He stands by his previous statements.' Roche added that he had advised Tucker to accept the suspension 'in order to put this difficult episode behind him and get back on the field as soon as possible.' In April, the Ravens selected kicker Tyler Loop in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, then released Tucker on May 5 for 'football reasons.' The five-time All-Pro was coming off a career-worst season with eight missed field goal attempts in 2024. Ravens coach John Harbaugh told reporters in May that releasing Tucker was 'complex' and a 'multi-layered decision.' 'If it was just a black and white simple thing, then it would be easy to understand,' Harbaugh said. 'But I think anybody can look at the whole thing in perspective and say, 'OK, we've got to have a kicker ready to go,' and there's a whole lot of moving parts of that deal.' Tucker is currently a free agent, but if he is signed by a team in the offseason, he will be able to participate in minicamp and preseason games. The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec contributed to this story.
