The season two synopsis for The Buccaneers reads:
In the first season of The Buccaneers, a group of fun-loving young American girls exploded into the tightly corseted London of the 1870s...setting hearts racing and kicking off an Anglo-American culture clash. Now the Buccaneers are no longer the invaders - England is their home. In fact they're practically running the place. Nan is the Duchess of Tintagel, the most influential woman in the country. Conchita is Lady Brightlingsea, heroine to a wave of young American heiresses. And Jinny is on every front-page, wanted for the kidnap of her unborn child. All of the girls have been forced to grow up and now have to fight to be heard, as they wrestle with romance, lust, jealousy, births and deaths... themes consuming all women of any age, no matter what year it is. Last time we got a taste of England. This time we're in for a veritable feast.

Great Dane Realizes Owner's Ex Isn't Coming Home—His Reaction Breaks Hearts

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A woman out walking the streets of Vancouver randomly bumped into her ex's dog, a pleasant surprise, until she began walking away. Evelyn Martin, who posts on TikTok as @evelynmmartin, used to date someone who owned a Great Dane named Roman. However, when the relationship ended, so did her bonding time with Roman, whom she told Newsweek was always the best dog. And the feeling was mutual, as her July 7 video showed. Roman immediately lit up when he saw her on the same block while being walked by the dog walker. Martin went over to say hello and give him some long-overdue pets. The quick exchange wasn't enough for Roman, though. Martin began walking away, but she hesitated after seeing how distraught Roman became at the thought of her not coming home with him. His wagging tail slowed down, sinking with sadness. He wouldn't budge as the dog walker tried to move him along. As she approached him, Roman began jumping up and down, still holding onto hope she'd return home with him. Funny enough, Martin knew this was how Roman would react. He's always been one with "big feelings," she said. He would give the same worried look to Martin when she would leave the house while dating his owner. Previous videos from her Instagram account, @evelyn_martin, show how strong the relationship between Martin and Roman had been. He would follow her home on walks, making sure she arrived safely. He never turned down cuddles. And while he received attention from strangers, he only ever perked up when Martin arrived. Viewer Reactions The TikTok clip had reached over 1.1 million views and 232,700 likes as of Tuesday, with people demanding that she prioritize the dog's needs, stop breaking his heart, and get back together with her ex. "If a dog tells you you're coming over, you're coming over," commented one viewer. "Sounds like a co-parenting situation is needed," another person said. But, because not all relationships are meant to last forever, a commenter pointed out: "At least there's one thing y'all can agree on: he seems like a really good boy." 'Predator: Badlands' Director Teases 'Alien' Crossover

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors One of the more surprising things about the promotional rollout for "Predator: Badlands" was the reveal that Elle Fanning appeared to be playing a Weyland-Yutani android; something usually reserved for the "Alien" movies. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, "Badlands" director Dan Trachtenberg confirms Fanning's character Thia is a Weyland-Yutani synthetic, and he also explains why he chose that over casting the actress as a human. Read More: 'Predator: Badlands' Trailer Teases The Ultimate Hunt Trachtenberg explained that one of the challenges of "Badlands" and one of the things that inspired the film was the idea of making Predator a sympathetic protagonist. He initially considered making Thia a human, but worried that would take too much focus away from Dek (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi). That's when the idea of using a synthetic character came up. Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi in "Predator: Badlands". 20th Century Studios "And then the next thought was, wait a minute, I know a company that makes robots," Trachtenberg recalled. "And that led to the Weyland-Yutani synth of it all." Making Dek more relatable is also why unlike the Yautja in other "Predator" films, you won't see him wearing a helmet very often. "We were tempted, but the whole thing is, can you find a way into this monster?" Trachtenberg said. "Shrek isn't wearing that knight's helmet throughout the whole movie." "It's like, no, the idea is he's an ogre. That's it — and you're going to have the experience with that guy and hopefully fall in love. And so that became the path here: really saying, yes, he is a creature, and yes, hopefully you're going to fall in love." While Thia is a synthetic like the ones we're used to from the "Alien" films, Trachtenberg wants fans to know they shouldn't expect a full-on crossover between "Alien" and "Predator" in "Badlands." "It is exciting to have this movie be just a little toe-dip link between those franchises," Trachtenberg said. "It's important to me — I am sure people anticipate a much bigger thing, and maybe other movies and other cinematic universes would be more aggressive — but I really didn't want to take all the action figures and smush them together. I really wanted to tell a cool story." The "Alien" and "Predator" franchises have crossed over before and may do so again. Along with "Alien Vs. Predator" entries in other media, there was the 2004 film "Alien Vs. Predator" and its 2007 sequel "Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem." ‘Ted Lasso' Season 4 Filming Underway Without This Fan-Favorite Star

"Ted Lasso" Season 3 Ted Lasso Season 4 is officially in production, marking the start of a new chapter for the 13-time Emmy-winning comedy. While many O.G.s are set to return, there are still questions surrounding some of the show's other fan-favorite stars, including Phil Dunster (aka the one and only Jamie Tartt). Back in March, Apple TV+ confirmed that Ted Lasso will return for a fourth season. Jason Sudeikis, who co-created the show with Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, and Bill Lawrence, will reprise his role and continue to serve as an executive producer for the upcoming installment. On Monday, July 21, Apple TV+ revealed that the show had begun filming in Kansas City, MO, with additional filming set to take place in London. The streamer also shared the first behind-the-scenes clip from Season 4 on social media. The video, with the caption "We're not in Richmond anymore," shows Ted, Keeley, Rebecca and Leslie sitting together in a booth at a restaurant. After the scene begins, the screen fades to black, revealing that Season 4 is officially in production, as the sounds of the characters enjoying their food play in the background. The clip's filming location in Kansas City, rather than across the pond, suggests that Ted's closest pals have traveled to the States, perhaps to convince him to coach Richmond's women's team. After all, Season 3 ended with Ted returning to his Midwestern hometown and Keeley presenting Rebecca with the idea of launching a women's club in Richmond. Apple TV+ and Sudeikis confirmed that Ted will be coaching a women's club in Season 4. 'Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team," the official logline reads. "Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.' In the first-look clip for season four, we only see four cast members, but what about the rest? Here's the latest on which stars are returning so far. Which Ted Lasso Cast Members Are Confirmed to Return In Season 4? First look at "Ted Lasso" Season 4. In addition to Sudeikis, it has now been confirmed that original cast members Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift will also reprise their roles for Season 4. They'll be joined by several new cast members in Season 4, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely. While character details haven't been revealed, Feely will take over the role of Henry Lasso, Ted's son, according to Variety. Which Ted Lasso Cast Members Haven't Been Confirmed for Season 4? "Ted Lasso" Season 3 While some fan favorites have been confirmed, the fate of other beloved characters is still up in the air — including Dunster, who portrayed AFC Richmond footballer Jamie Tartt. Last August, Deadline and Puck News reported that Dunster had not yet been picked up for the series due to scheduling conflicts. The British actor currently stars in two series, Prime Video's The Devil's Hour and Apple's Surface Additionally, there's been no word on the involvement of the following Season 3 cast members in Season 4: There's always a chance that, even if they're not brought on as series regulars, they could still appear in a recurring or guest role. Nick Mohammed, who portrays Nate Shelley, previously expressed interest in returning to the show before the renewal was finalized. 'Yeah, of course. I mean, it was such a gift of a show, we all feel so grateful for being a part of it. I'd love to do some more at some point, but then, equally, it came to a satisfying conclusion in terms of stories for a lot of them, a lot of the characters,' he told Radio Times. Apple TV+ has yet to announce a release date for Season 4, though the next season isn't expected to premiere until 2026 or 2027. Stay tuned for more details. All three seasons of Ted Lasso are streaming on Apple TV+.
