Olivia Rodrigo at BST Hyde Park 2025: start time, tickets, potential setlist and what you need to know for London show

Time Out5 hours ago

Another summer week in London means yet another brilliant festival, and this week it's a biggie. BST Hyde Park, now in its 12th year, is bringing more world-renowned stars right to the heart of London – starting on Friday (June 27) with all-American pop girl Olivia Rodrigo.
There's no need to be sad if you weren't lucky enough to bag tickets to Glasto, its Sunday night headliner is marking her return to the UK with her Hyde Park debut. After a sold out stadium tour last spring, fans will be glad to end a year-long Rodrigo drought.
This will be the biggest UK show to date for the 'Drivers License' singer, although that title will quickly be usurped by her Sunday headline set at Glastonbury. Expect a night you can be 'obsessed' with, full of hits, red lipstick, and righteous anger at your useless ex. That should definitely be 'enough for you' to leave feeling great.
Here's everything you need to know about Olivia Rodrigo's BST Hyde Park set this Friday.
When is Olivia Rodrigo playing BST Hyde Park?
Olivia Rodrigo is the first BST Hyde Park headliner, so will play out the festival's first Friday night, June 27. She'll be the last act of the day, so will finish just before the 10.30pm curfew.
What time do doors open?
Doors for BST Hyde park open at 2pm, although if you've got primary entry or VIP tickets you'll be allowed in an hour early. Once you're in, you're in, as there's no readmission permitted. Make sure that you're ready to settle in and enjoy your day when you head through those gates.
Last entry is 8.30pm, and the box office, for anyone needing to pick up tickets or wristbands, shuts at 8pm. BST's website advises you to arrive well in time of these deadlines to account for queues or delays. You wouldn't want a rogue delayed train to prevent you singing along to 'Deja Vu' with 60,000 like-minded fans.
What time will Olivia Rodrigo come on stage?
Olivia Rodrigo is set to come on stage at 8.50pm, and her set will last roughly 90 minutes, meaning she'll finish up just before half ten.

Is Chappell Roan playing Glastonbury? Singer is hot favourite for Patchwork secret slot - along with these 7 other acts

This week will see 135,000 people pack into Worthy Farm for perhaps the biggest musical event of the year - the Glastonbury Festival . They'll see headliners The 1975, Olivia Rodrigo and Neil Young, along with hundreds of other acts across over 100 stages. But looking at the schedule on the official website, music fans will see numerous timeslots with 'TBA' next to them - with no indication of who will be playing. It could be a global megastar, or some busker from down the road on an acoustic guitar. Such is the joy of the festival. There are some big gaps to be filled - most intriguingly third on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday, where there is plenty of interest about who exactly 'Patchwork' are. Numerous names have been suggested, but with just a few days to go, eight names seem to be the most likely. Here's who they are, and how likely it is that they'll play, according to Casino Beats. 1 . Chappell Roan - 1/2 Chappell Roan is now the red hot favourite to be 'Patchwork' -with her odds dropping from 30/1 to 1/2. She's also playing a pair of gigs in Edinburgh this August as part of the Summer Sessions series. | AFP via Getty Images Photo Sales 2 . Haim - 4/1 The three sisters of Haim have a new album out and are in the UK with free time on Glastonbury weekend. The fact that there's a book called 'Patchwork' written by a German author called Sylvia HAIM means some people reckoned they've solved the riddle of the mysterious band of the same name appearing third on the bill on the Saturday. Having been favourites they have now drifted out to 4/1. | Getty Images for LOUIS VUITTON x Photo Sales 3 . Pulp - 7/1 Another band with an acclaimed new album out and who are currently touring (but have a gap at Glastonbury-time) are Sheffield indie stars Pulp. They've headlined twice in the past, including stepping in at short notice when The Stone Roses pulled out, and would be a popular booking. They are priced at 7/1 third favourites, despite repeatedly denying they are playing (protesting too much maybe?). | Getty Images Photo Sales 4 . Mumford & Sons - 12/1 Mumford & Sons released fifth studio album 'Rushmore' earlier this year and are getting back to playing live - recently headlining Radio 1's Big Weekend. They topped the bill on the Pyramid Stage in 2013. It would seem to be a good time for them to return - ahead of a fallow year in 2026. They are priced at 12/1. | Getty Images for Warner Bros. Mystery as huge billboard goes up outside Glastonbury Festival – and fans think it's a hint at secret set

GLASTONBURY kicks off today with several mystery slots still unannounced - and fans are on high alert for clues about surprise performers. Now, a mysterious billboard has popped up near Castle Cary, the main train station for Glastonbury Festival. 5 5 The large white banner features a cryptic message in red text which says: 'I've had my share of Monday mornings when I can't get up.' It also included a mobile phone number. When one Reddit user contacted the number, they said they got a response to sign up to a "scam" investment scheme. The billboard was spotted by a festival-goer queuing early for the gates, who shared a photo to Reddit with the caption: 'Does anyone know what this is about / who's it for? 'Just got here to queue for gates opening and haven't seen anyone mention it. Give me ya theories!!!!' One fan was quick to point out that the same sign appeared in Glasgow recently, fuelling rumours that Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi - who made a surprise return to the stage in May after a hiatus - may be planning a surprise return on one of Glastonbury's stages. The Someone You Loved star, who has been diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome, was forced to take a break from music after struggling to finish his set at Glastonbury in June 2023. The legendary festival officially opens today at Worthy Farm in Somerset, with headline performances scheduled from June 27 to June 29. This year's headliners include The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo. Elsewhere on the bill are major acts like Charli XCX, Loyle Carner, Rod Stewart, The Prodigy, Doechii, and Raye. Earlier this month, the full festival schedule was released — but fans noticed several TBA slots still in place. Now they have a new theory about who else could make a surprise appearance at the legendary festival. On the 2025 Glastonbury schedule, the Saturday 6.15pm slot has a mysterious act called "Patchwork" pencilled in, and fans have been trying to work out what it means. It follows a similar mystery in 2023 when Churn Ups were revealed to be the Foo Fighters. Fans are convinced that Chappell Roan is "Patchwork" after she posted a telling clue on Instagram. It came after the Pink Pony Club star shared a picture of herself holding a patchwork quilt, and wrote next to it: "Insane vibe." Dave Grohl also sparked a flurry of excitement after he jetted to the UK earlier this week. Grohl, 56, sent fans into a spin after posing for a photo with US singer Amanda Palmer at London 's Royal Albert Hall. After grabbing the Foo Fighters legend for a photo, she shared it on social media and told her followers: "Well I'll be damned. Not who I expected to run into backstage at the Yeah Yeah Yeah's show in London tonight, but look, it's Dave Grohl." The rest of the bill features big-name acts such as Charli XCX, Doechii, Rod Stewart, Loyle Carner, The Prodigy and Raye. 5

Glastonbury has banned one popular makeup - so we found some great alternatives

This year Glastonbury Festival has banned attendees from using glitter makeup, but don't despair, because we found some glitter-free alternatives to create your festival beauty look If you're packing your bags for this year's Glastonbury Festival, there's one thing you should be leaving out – glitter. The organisers have banned all glitter makeup from being brought into the festival (including biodegradable types!), which means you may have to re-think those sparkly beauty looks you had planned. Whilst you are allowed to buy biodegradable glitter from vendors once you're actually inside Worthy Farm, if you want to plan your makeup looks accordingly it might be time to think of a beauty plan B. So we've tracked down the best metallic looks that'll get you in the Glasto spirit without a hint of glitter in sight. Sephora Collection Colorful Special Effects Multichrome Liquid Eyeshadow - £15.99 It doesn't get more metallic than these multichrome liquid eyeshadows from Sephora. The creamy texture and precise tip means you can apply them as a sharp cat eye, blend them out into a smudgy shadow or use them to create patterns and designs on your skin. They also last up to 12 hours without smudging, which as anyone who's ever been to a festival knows, is a godsend. Choose from three different shades, and give yourself unlimited beauty looks with one handy product. Violette FR Yeux Paint - £33 If you prefer a solid monochromatic look, Violette FR's Yeux Paints are a must-buy. There are eight metallic shades to choose from, and you can also pick up a matte shade that matches, letting you create infinite different looks. They have a lightweight, buildable and blendable formula, and are crease-, smudge- and fade-proof, so they'll last through hours of dancing. You can use them for a subtle wash of colour, to create sharp, precise liner looks, or blend them into soft smokey eyes. And the best part is you don't even need a brush to apply them. E.l.f Duochrome Liquid Eyeshadow - £8 For anyone wanting to top up their festival beauty bag on a budget, E.l.f's Duochrome Liquid Eyeshadows are perfect. There's a choice of four different shades which suit all skin tones, and each one is highly pigmented and has a metallic swatch of colour which shifts colour in the light. The long-lasting gel-based formula should see you through hours of dancing whilst still feeling comfortable to wear, and you can use them to create a whole host of different multi-dimensional beauty looks that are perfect for festival season. Glisten Cosmetics UV IT! Clear UV Eyeliner – £8.50 Maria Mukaranda, Beauty Editor at Cosmetify, also suggested that UV eyeliner is a great way to give your makeup that festival-inspired look without the glitter. The neon liner shows up under ultraviolet light – which there will be plenty of around Glasto – and brings an unexpected twist to your eye makeup. You can mix it with your existing liner to add an extra element to your go-to makeup, or keep it clear and create everything from bold graphic liner to UV-activated freckles. To use it you just dip your liner brush in water and swirl it in the product, before applying it wherever you want to glow under the lights.
