Lewis Capaldi releases new music amid speculation of Glastonbury set
The 28-year-old last performed at Glastonbury in 2023 before taking a break citing anxiety and announced on New Year's Eve the same year that he planned to take a hiatus to focus on his health.
He has released a new song titled Survive and alongside a video montage, with the song playing, he wrote on Instagram: 'It's been a while…'.
Last month, he performed on stage for the first time in two years at a charity gig in Edinburgh to raise funds for suicide prevention.

Capaldi, from Bathgate, West Lothian, has Tourette's Syndrome and released his first album in 2019, with a second album following in 2023.
On New Year's Eve in 2023, Capaldi said in a lengthy Instagram post that he would 'continue taking some time to carry on looking after myself' following the announcement he would take a break from touring after struggling with his voice during his Glastonbury Festival set earlier in the year.
Capaldi explored how the pressures of fame have affected him mentally and physically in the Netflix documentary Lewis Capaldi: How I'm Feeling Now which was released in April 2023.
His critically-acclaimed 2019 debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent emerged as the biggest-selling UK album of both 2019 and 2020.
His hit songs include 2019's Someone You Loved, 2020's Before You Go and 2022's Forget Me.
This year's Glastonbury line-up features a number of acts listed as TBA, with a Friday slot on the Pyramid Stage at 4.55pm speculated as one Capaldi could perform in, but this has not been confirmed.
Also among the music stars rumoured to be performing a secret set at Glastonbury is New Zealand singer Lorde, whose fourth studio album, Virgin, has just been released.

'Most nights I fear that I'm not enough, I've had my share of Monday mornings when I can't get up' sings Capaldi in a brutally honest track that addresses mental health challenges of self-doubt and despair, but comes out swinging in a chorus full of defiance - 'I swear to God I'll survive, if it kills me to, I'm gonna' get up and try, if it's the last thing I'll do'. 'Survive' also sees Lewis re-united with close collaborator Romans, who co-wrote his global hit 'Someone You Loved', that extraordinarily turned 10x Platinum earlier this year. Rod Stewart has urged voters to give Nigel Farage a chance as he criticised both Sir Keir Starmer and the Conservatives. The singer, who is well known for hits such as Baby Jane and Maggie May, said he thinks the Reform UK leader is coming across well. Meanwhile, Sir Rod, 80, was critical of the Prime Minister's decision to cut off fishing in Scotland and give it back to the EU, saying this move has not made him popular. I know some of his family, I know his brother, and I quite like him.' And last November, he announced he was considering selling his Italian supercar collection over the pothole issue. Sir Rod wrote in a post on Instagram: 'I am extremely fortunate and eternally grateful to be the owner of these five beautiful hybrid sports cars, which, in my opinion, are true "works of art". 'Unfortunately, because of the potholes on our roads, I may have to find new owners for them. 'I've been driving these iconic Italian cars since the seventies, and I absolutely love and adore them.' Sir Rod was also quick to nip any criticism of his broadside in the bud. He added: 'This post is for my fans—thank you, as you are the sole reason I own them. And to all the trolls… don't bother; I never read the comments.' Sir Rod is due to perform at Glastonbury Festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset on Sunday. The legend who has not sung at the event since 2002, confirmed that his Faces co-star and Rolling Stones guitarist, Ronnie Wood, will be making an appearance.
