Zach Bryan's New Single Launches Inside The Top 10 On Multiple Charts

Zach Bryan's New Single Launches Inside The Top 10 On Multiple Charts

Forbes4 days ago
Zach Bryan has released more than half a dozen singles in 2025 alone, and it's not yet clear how many of them will be included on his upcoming project. What is apparent is that his latest single, "Madeline,' a duet with relatively unknown musician Gabriella Rose, is another quick smash for the singer-songwriter, one that returns him to the highest tiers on several Billboard rankings.
'Madeline' Opens Inside the Top 10
"Madeline" launches on more than half a dozen tallies in the United States this week. The tune opens inside the top 10 on three of them, thanks primarily to its quick popularity on streaming platforms.
Bryan's duet with Rose opens highest, at No. 8, on the Hot Rock Songs chart. It comes in just one spot beneath that slot on the Rock Streaming Songs list, and at No. 10 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs tally.
A Milestone New Smash
Bryan earns his milestone thirtieth top 10 hit on the Hot Rock Songs chart as "Madeline" debuts. He only needs one more win within the same region on the Rock Streaming Songs list to reach the same landmark there as well. Meanwhile, the newly-shared collaboration marks his twenty-sixth top 10 smash on Billboard's ranking of the most consumed rock and alternative tracks in the nation.
Zach Bryan's Many, Many Rock Hits
When looking at his total number of placements on these three lists, there's a greater variation when compared to his top 10 successes. Bryan has now scored 47 hits on the Rock Streaming Songs ranking, while he's up to 80 on the Hot Rock Songs list, and two more on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs tally.
Zach Bryan Almost Reaches the Country Top 10
"Madeline" comes close to the top 10 on a trio of country rankings, but doesn't perform quite as well as it does on the rock-leaning charts. The track misses the highest tier on the Hot Country Songs, Country Streaming Songs, and Country Digital Song Sales lists by just a few spaces.
The tune also opens at No. 62 on the Hot 100, where Bryan is quickly approaching 50 placements.
With Heaven on Top
It appears that "Madeline" will be included on With Heaven on Top, Bryan's forthcoming project. Originally marketed as an EP, it now appears the singer-songwriter and Grammy winner may turn it into a full-length effort. At the moment, With Heaven on Top is scheduled to be released on January 9, 2026.

The Jesus Lizard Cancel 2025 Tour Dates Citing ‘Serious Health Incident'

Revered Austin noise-rock band The Jesus Lizard have announced the cancellation of their 2025 tour plans, with the group citing a 'serious health incident' affecting an unspecified bandmember as the cause. News of the band's axed tour was announced on social media on Monday (Aug. 4), with The Jesus Lizard revealing their scheduled October performances in New Zealand, Australia and Japan have been affected, in addition to their November dates in the U.S.. More from Billboard Australian Rockers The Angels Honored With Laneway & Mural in Hometown Lady Gaga's 'Wednesday' Role Will Also Include a Spooky New Song for Season 2 Metro Boomin Blames Social Media for Music Not Being Regional Anymore: 'Let's Get Back to Actual Culture' 'Upon the advice of medical professionals following a serious health incident affecting one of the band members, it is considered necessary as a precautionary measure,' the group wrote in a statement. 'The band would like to convey their apologies to disappointed fans and emphasize that the affected member's prognosis is excellent. Your understanding and support are very much appreciated as always.' The statement closed by noting that all ticketholders will be provided refunds for their purchases due to an inability to 'currently project replacement dates.' The band currently have no other planned shows apart from the affected dates. The forthcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand was to be the band's first appearances in these countries since 1998, while the Japan tour would have been their first since 1996. The Jesus Lizard first formed in 1987, issuing a handful of singles and EPs on Chicago indie Touch and Go ahead of four studio records for the label, including 1991's Goat and 1992's Liar. Signing to Capitol in 1995, a further two albums followed before the band's split in 1999. Following a two-year reunion in 2008, the band have again been active since 2017, issuing their first new album in 26 years – Rack – in 2024. Though largely avoiding any chart success (save for 1996's Shot peaking at No. 28 on the Heatseekers Albums chart), the group's legacy as one of the most prominent and revered bands in the U.S. underground music scene is well-documented, with acts such as Nirvana labeling them a noted influence. Following sporadic touring upon their most recent reformation, The Jesus Lizard increased their live appearances last year, with the group having already completed tours of the U.S., U.K. and Europe in 2025. Netflix's Marriage Story serving as a wolf deterrent is funny, but let's not forget its a great movie too

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. In what is certainly going to be one of the odder stories you hear about today, The Wall Street Journal has reported that the United States Department of Agriculture has recently started using audio from the Netflix original movie Marriage Story (as well as other notable audio clips) to scare off wolves and protect cattle. Specifically, they are using one of the movie's most memorable scenes — an intense argument between a husband and wife in the middle of a divorce played by Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson. The Marriage Story scene sees Driver's Charlie and Johansson's Nicole scream at each other and features lines like 'You'll never be happy!' and 'Every day I wake up and hope you're dead!' The reasoning behind the USDA's choosing this clip, per the WSJ, 'humans are bad' (it appears to be working too). This is undoubtedly a clever and funny solution by those at the USDA, but it does warrant mentioning that this scene, while undoubtedly the most famous from Marriage Story (it had previously been made into plenty of memes shortly after the movie's release), is just one snippet of a pretty great movie, and we shouldn't forget that. Written and directed by Noah Baumbach, Marriage Story was released in 2019 and chronicled the rough divorce proceedings of a theater director and his actress wife. In addition to Driver and Johansson, the movie stars Laura Dern, Ray Liotta, Alan Alda, Julia Hagerty and Azhy Robertson. The movie was nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Driver), Best Actress (Johansson), Best Supporting Actress (Dern), Best Original Screenplay and Best Score, winning for Best Supporting Actress. Critics loved it too, with Marriage Story being 'Certified Fresh' with an impressive 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and a permanent fixture on WTW's list of best Netflix movies. Marriage Story is some of the best work by all involved, as it shows the complex emotions of why a marriage may end and the aftermath as they try to figure out how to navigate their new reality, made all the more difficult with them sharing a kid. Scenes like the fight will put you through the emotional ringer, but there are also moments of sincerity and levity that remind you of the love that was once there and is at times still there. Because Marriage Story has never left Netflix, it can often get buried under the slew of new Netflix original movies and TV shows (recent examples include Happy Gilmore 2, My Oxford Year and, this week, Wednesday season 2). Marriage Story isn't typically popping up in the Top 10 because there hasn't been anything new about it to grab subscribers attention. Maybe this USDA story will change that and give Marriage Story some new life on Netflix. Wolves may not like it, but Marriage Story is a wonderfully performed, powerful human story that deserves to be recalled as the great movie that it is.
