Man beats to death younger brother over unpaid electricity bill dispute in Madhepura
Madhepura: A man beat up his younger brother to death after a minor family feud turned fatal at ward no-5 of Ratanpura village under Ghailardh police station area in Madhepura district on Friday night. The deceased was identified as Shyam Yadav (40). According to police, Shyam's elder brother, Umakant Yadav, became enraged during the dispute. In a fit of anger, he along with his in-laws allegedly attacked Shyam with a blunt object, inflicting severe head injuries. Local residents rushed him to the nearby primary health centre (PHC), but doctors declared him dead on arrival. The victim, second among four brothers, had been living in a joint property. Although the brothers had been living separately for some time, they continued to share a single electricity connection. A dispute arose over an unpaid electricity bill of Rs10,000, said youngest brother, Babloo Yadav. The eldest brother, Umakant Yadav, refused to contribute towards the payment, which led to a heated argument between him and the victim, he said. At the time of the incident, the victim was alone at the house as his wife had gone to her parental house to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. Upon receiving information about the incident, Ghailardh SHO Suraj Kumar Bharti along with police personnel reached the spot and sent the victim's body to Sadar hospital in Madhepura for postmortem. "An appropriate action will be taken against the attackers once a formal complaint is filed by the victim's family," he added. UP horror: Man throws two-year-old son from terrace after fight with wife; arrested
AGRA: A 30-year-old man allegedly killed his two-year-old son by throwing him from the terrace of a two-storey house after a dispute with his wife in Mainpuri's Chitawa village on Thursday. The incident took place three days after the accused had brought his wife back from her maternal home, where she had gone to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. Police said Raj Bahadur, a labourer, was taken into custody soon after the incident. Preliminary probe suggests that he was on the terrace with his wife, Yamunawati, and their son, Lalit, when a heated argument broke out. In a fit of rage, he allegedly lifted the child and hurled him down. The boy was declared dead at the district hospital. Deputy superintendent of police (Bhogaon) Rishi Kant Shukla said, "Officers reached the spot immediately after receiving information. While the child's family members alleged that the child was thrown from the roof, the initial medical examination found no visible external injuries. Man caught with country-made weapon and ten live rounds
A 32-year-old man was caught in possession of a country-made weapon and ten live rounds by the Special Operations Team (SOT) of Malkajgiri Zone, along with the Cherlapally police on Thursday, August 14. The accused, Shiv Kumar, is a labourer residing in Pukat Nagar Colony in Pedda Cherlapally. He is originally from Pithanua village, Aurangabad district, Bihar. His brother-in-law, Krishna Paswan, 28, also from the same village, is absconding, said the Commissioner of Rachakonda Police, G. Sudheer Babu. Shiv Kumar has a criminal background and was previously arrested in February this year in a narcotics case involving marijuana chocolates. 'On August 6, he went to his native village in Bihar for Raksha Bandhan and allegedly planned with Paswan to earn money by making and selling weapons in Hyderabad. As per the plan, he procured three country-made weapons and ten live rounds from Paswan to sell to people intending to commit crime,' explained the commissioner. Based on credible information, the SOT Malkajgiri team and Cherlapally police apprehended him near the Cherlapally Railway Station at about 12.15 p.m. on August 14. The weapons, ammunition and a mobile phone were seized. A case was registered under sections 25(1)(A) and 25(1)(B)(a) of the Arms Act by the Cherlapally police. Efforts are on to trace Paswan.
