Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street is now available to stream for free on BBC iPlayer and has been hailed 'the shortest long movie I have ever seen' by fans
One of Martin Scorsese's most celebrated films is now available to stream without charge for a limited period on BBC iPlayer.

Widely regarded as one of the most hilarious films ever created and a sharp commentary on America's wealthy elite and corruption, this three-hour epic shouldn't be missed.

Don't be deterred by the intimidating running time - countless viewers insist this breakneck crime thriller flies by and seems nearly half its genuine duration.

We're naturally referring to 2013's The Wolf of Wall Street, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio as fraudulent stockbroker Jordan Belfort, supported by a stellar cast including Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie and Matthew McConaughey.
It's currently available on BBC iPlayer at absolutely no cost, making now the ideal moment to either rewatch or experience this ridiculously captivating crime drama for the first time, reports the Express.

One Reddit user commented: "The Wolf of Wall Street is the shortest long movie I have ever seen. That movie is a blast."
Another agreed: "Absolutely. And the genre of it tricks you. After the cinema, we mentioned to each other that this felt like a 1 hour 40 min film. Like, it was slightly longer than the 90 minute mark."
Numerous five-star Google reviews from delighted viewers also praise the film, with one stating: "The Wolf of Wall Street is infectiously entertaining.

"It is probably the funniest movie I have seen all year with witty dialogue, over the top characters, and filled with energy that bleeds off the screen.
"Between all the fun however, there is also a story about addiction and how it can cause a downward spiral in your life whether it be drugs, money, or power."
Another fan enthused: "I don't know where to begin to review this epic of a movie. I would like to give this movie 5 out of 5 stars or maybe more than that."

And a final film enthusiast encapsulated the film's dark yet irresistible allure: "The Wolf of Wall Street drops you into what looks like another dry finance story, but right away you know you're in for something wild.
"Instead of a snooze-fest about numbers and graphs, Scorsese turns the whole thing into a high-energy thrill ride.
"You'll feel the buzz of those boiler-room trades and the rush of that first big payday, all while laughing at just how over-the-top it gets."
Highlighting greed and corruption, all with a wicked sense of humour and stellar performances, The Wolf of Wall Street is a must-watch now that it's free to stream.

Taking to social media today, Maya told fans: "Legit three hours sleep and I'm off again." Viewers have already begun speculating which Islanders may be at risk of being dumped from the villa. One penned on Reddit: "I think people leaving could honestly be Emma & Boris. "Because the favourite people are gonna be thinking that Angel has just entered & hasn't had much time on the show. "Whereas, Emma has explored already. I see more chemistry with Angel & Ty instead of Emma & Boris. Why Boris? "Dont think they will dump Dejon even after how he's acted since he does have an exclusive relationship." Another said over on X: "From all The votes so far I fear it's Emma and Boris that'd be dumped, haven't seen anyone voting for them. Meg and Dejon live to fight another day sigh." One more speculated: "I have no doubt in my mind that this is probably going to be a vote where Dejon will be in the bottom BUT he won't leave. "It's absolutely a vote to get rid of the ones who aren't going anywhere - Emma & Boris watch out." Love Island fans demand 'get her out' as they slam girl as 'liar' after she's confronted in tense scenes Casa Amor stud Boris won his place in the main villa after striking up a potential romance with Billykiss Azeez, who brought him back with her. However, now he's moved on with fellow Casa bombshell Emma Munro – with the pair even sneaking off to the Hideaway for some private time and a snog in the pool. He also officially broke things off with Billykiss, and she's moved on with Cach. But fans have become convinced that Boris deliberately used Billykiss to get into the villa, using his charm on her only to ditch her once he had secured his spot. Branding him "horrid", viewers have been saying for more than a week now that he should be on the "next plane home" as they vented on X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit. "Boris used Billykiss. I was never falling for that propaganda. Get him out. #LoveIsland" wrote one. "Boris wym finally… imma make sure ur ass is on the first flight back to Slovenia," said another. "Send both boris and emma home, they made it easy for the viewers #LoveIsland" noted a third. "Boris literally pretended to like Billykiss. Horrid," noted a fourth, while a fifth said: "Boris playedddd Billykiss to get into the villa icl [I can't lie] #loveisland" 4 Fans want Emma and Boris gone Credit: Eroteme

Netflix quietly adds 8 episodes of wild thriller – and fans are devouring it

An 'outrageous' new thriller has quietly been added to Netflix, with fans branding it the 'most insane show' of the year. The Hunting Wives premiered on the platform today, and is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by May Cobb. The eight-part series follows Brittany Snow as Sophie, a woman who moves from Boston to East Texas with her family, where she grows a little too close to a mysterious socialite and her group of wealthy friends. However, things take a turn when a dead body is discovered and the newcomer is warned that she has 'no idea what these people are capable of'. Malin Åkerman, Dermot Mulroney, Chrissy Metz and Katie Lowes also make up the star-studded cast. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Despite only being out a matter of hours, fans and critics have flocked to social media to rave about the latest addition to Netflix's slate. Journalist David Opie tweeted: '#TheHuntingWives is the rare kind of trash that knows exactly what it is and revels in it. 'It's hard to make a show seem this shallow, but still be so entertaining (complimentary). Brittany Snow is great, but Malin Akerman is perfection and their chemistry is GAY gay. I love it.' Lee commented: 'The Hunting Wives is kind of a mess with questionable writing but Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman are constantly serving.' '#TheHuntingWives is the most insane show I have watched all year,' Reporter Max Gao praised. 'I devoured all eight episodes last week and genuinely felt bereft by the end of the season. This show is a soapy good time – outrageous characters, wild plot twists, and *so many* intimate scenes.' Over on Reddit, user Yammersss cheered: '2 episodes in, it's super trashy fun. Malin Akerman's character is a riot, and Brittany Snow is a nice girl who's about to break bad.' The official synopsis reads: 'Sophie trades city life for East Texas and falls into a wealthy socialite's magnetic orbit – where a clique of housewives hide deadly secrets.' Author May, who served as executive producer on the adaptation, recently shed light on the series in a new interview, insisting there is more to it than the 'rich people behaving badly' trope we've been inundated with. 'It really is like escapist fun, but it's also grounded with a small-town murder mystery, which gives it some more gravity,' she told Marshall News Messenger. 'So, it's not just like rich people behaving badly. 'There's some other serious elements brought in. I think that makes it a very gripping and riveting show to watch. There's a cliffhanger at every turn. There's secrets, lies, betrayal. It's got it all.' More Trending Sharing how close the show stayed to her book, she added: 'It is very similar. The book is a good blueprint for what the creators of the show went and did. 'I feel like they took the spirit of the book, and they really made it into this very juicy, binge-worthy, eight-episode series that's just beyond my wildest dreams, to be perfectly honest. 'Even though there's differences, I applaud all the differences, and I'm so excited about it because it all still just really does feel like it celebrates the book and that spirit of rowdy Texas women behaving badly in the pine forest.'
