It's JISOO's time to shine. The star, who recently celebrated her 30th birthday, unveiled her highly anticipated debut solo mini-album, AMORTAGE, fittingly on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14).
The four-song mini-album includes the tracks 'Earthquake,' 'Your Love,' 'Tears' and 'Hugs & Kisses.' Blissoo and The Wavys produced all the songs, while JISOO co-wrote all four tracks alongside Jordan Roman and a series of collaborators. The K-pop superstar previously revealed that the project's unique title is a mash-up representing 'a montage of love.'

JISOO made her solo debut in 2023 with the singles 'FLOWER' and 'All Eyes on Me,' but AMORTAGE will represent her first full project outside of BLACKPINK, following on the heels of solo efforts from members LISA, JENNIE and ROSÉ. As part of BLACKPINK, she's notched nine songs on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the third South Korean act ever to top the Billboard 200 with sophomore album, Born Pink. In 2023, the group made history as the first Korean act to headline Coachella.
AMORTAGE also marks JISOO's first project since she signed a global label deal with Warner Records for her solo output in January. 'I'm excited about this new era and the continuation of my musical journey,' she said at the time of the announcement. 'I feel like I'm just getting started and I'd like to thank the BLINKs for all of their love and support. This is just the beginning and I'm thrilled to kick off this seismic moment with Warner Records.'

Morgan Wallen Continues His Annual Winning Streak

Hip-hop and country are not two styles that are typically associated with one another, although that long-standing gap has been closing over the last several years. There have been a handful of crossover smashes, including 'Old Town Road' by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus and Shaboozey's 'A Bar Song (Tipsy),' that have blended the two styles and performed historically well, with several artists — including those from the rap world — recently recruiting country stars and vice versa. A number of those collaborations have become hits on the Billboard charts, and there's another instance of acts from what were once thought to be completely different areas of the music business working together to create a big win on the rankings at the moment. 'Miami' by Morgan Wallen Debuts on the Rhythmic Airplay Chart Recently, Morgan Wallen released a remix version of his song 'Miami,' originally a solo cut featured on his blockbuster album I'm the Problem. The track is now available as a collaborative take featuring Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. That tune debuted on a number of Billboard lists last week, and as it falls on half a dozen rosters, it manages to launch on one other roster. 'Miami' opens on the Rhythmic Airplay chart this week at No. 24. The Rhythmic Airplay list is one of several tallies published by the company that focus on hip-hop, rap, and R&B, and show the most successful tunes across a variety of slightly different radio formats. Morgan Wallen's Three Rhythmic Airplay Chart Hits Wallen has now scored three career appearances on the Rhythmic Airplay chart. That's a huge sum for a country musician, as the vast majority will never have a tune promoted to the format. He first reached the list in 2023 alongside Lil Durk, as 'Stand by Me' climbed to No. 35. Last summer, 'Whiskey Whiskey,' which is fronted by Moneybagg Yo, spent 17 frames on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, eventually peaking at No. 10 and becoming Wallen's first – and so far only – top 10 on the tally. Now that 'Miami' is present on the list, Wallen has earned a new hit on the Rhythmic Airplay roster in each of the past three years. Lil Wayne and Rick Ross on the Rhythmic Airplay List Unsurprisingly, both Ross and Wayne have performed significantly better than Wallen when it comes to the Rhythmic Airplay chart. Ross has scored 39 career appearances, half a dozen of which have cracked the top 10, and counted among that sum are two leaders. Wayne, meanwhile, passed triple-digit wins some time ago. He has now racked up 44 top 10s and a lucky 13 leaders throughout the decades. 'Miami' Lives Inside the Top 10 In America, 'Miami' — the remix version — is still living inside the top 10 on both the Country Streaming Songs and Hot Country Songs charts, though it dips to Nos. 8 and 9, respectively. The tune falls outside the highest tier on the Streaming Songs tally, dropping from No. 9 to No. 24, while it just barely manages to hold on inside the top 40 on the Hot 100, where it can be found at No. 39. On that roster, 'Miami' has racked up five stays, both as a solo cut and now as a remix, with all three names credited.

Michael Jackson's Classic Reaches A New Peak On Multiple Charts

For more than 40 years, 'Billie Jean' has been regarded as one of Michael Jackson's best songs and certainly one of his most commercially successful. That's saying a lot when it comes to a musician whose catalog is known as one of the most lucrative of all time. Many years after it became one of the biggest hits of its era, 'Billie Jean' remains a standout in Jackson's catalog and American recorded music. Fans of the late, great powerhouse are still buying and streaming the tune in huge numbers every day, and amazingly, 'Billie Jean' manages to enjoy its biggest week ever on multiple Billboard charts at the moment — more than 40 years after it was initially promoted. 'Billie Jean' Reaches Two Years on the Global Chart 'Billie Jean' currently appears on four Billboard charts, and the track climbs to a never-before-seen high on half of them. 'Billie Jean' dances from No. 106 to No. 87 on the Billboard Global 200. Jackson's smash soars to a new peak 104 weeks — exactly two years — into its life on the ranking of the most consumed songs all around the planet. The song nearly reaches a new high on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. as it ascends from No. 127 to No. 98. In the 91 frames it has spent on that roster, which operates in much the same way as the Billboard Global 200 except all streams and sales from American consumers are not factored into the chart's methodology, 'Billie Jean' misses its all-time best showing by just two spots. 'Billie Jean' Soars to a New Peak on the R&B List The Thriller classic is also in the midst of a very exciting moment on the R&B Streaming Songs chart. 'Billie Jean' returns to that roster at No. 12, which now marks its loftiest placement ever on Billboard's list that looks only at the most-played R&B cuts around the country. Somewhat surprisingly, 'Billie Jean' has only spent four weeks anywhere on the tally. Michael Jackson's New Posthumous Hit On the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart, which is longer and slightly more competitive than the R&B Streaming Songs tally, 'Billie Jean' establishes a high point as it arrives at No. 23. The cut posthumously earns Jackson his seventh appearance on the roster.

Chappell Roan's New Single Brings Her To Never-Before-Seen Highs

Just a few days after being properly released, Chappell Roan's new single 'The Subway' has turned out to be one of the biggest of her career. The tune is off to a fantastic start across several Billboard charts worldwide and in America, as it seems that there is a serious demand for anything new from the singer-songwriter and current holder of the Best New Artist Grammy. 'The Subway' doesn't just earn a lofty beginning, it helps the pop star climb higher than ever on multiple tallies. Chappell Roan's New Career Peaks 'The Subway' opens at No. 3 on both the Hot 100, America's list of the most consumed songs in the country, and on the Billboard Global 200, which ranks the biggest tracks all around the planet. No. 3 now stands as Roan's all-time career high on both of those rankings. On the Hot 100, she previously stalled at No. 4 with both 'Good Luck, Babe!' and 'Pink Pony Club.' Globally, 'Good Luck, Babe!' — which peaked at No. 5 — stood out as her highest-rising title until this frame. Chappell Roan Almost Hits No. 1 for the First Time Roan almost scores her first No. 1 on the Streaming Songs tally, which looks specifically at the tunes that rack up the most plays on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, iHeartRadio, Tidal, and others in the United States. On that list, 'The Subway' begins its time in the runner-up space, losing out to 'Golden' from the movie KPop: Demon Hunters. Just as is the case on the Hot 100, Roan has seen two tunes peak at No. 4 on the Streaming Songs list, although 'Pink Pony Club' only galloped to No. 6 as both 'Good Luck, Babe!' and 'The Giver' worked their way to No. 4. 'The Subway' Launches Inside the Top 10 Everywhere 'The Subway' also enters the top 10 on two other Billboard rankings. The track is new at No. 4 on the Digital Song Sales chart and No. 10 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., though those do not mark new peak positions for the rising pop musician on those lists. 'Good Luck, Babe!' and 'The Giver' Join 'The Subway' 'The Subway' is the latest single from Roan that continues her global success, which is not featured on her debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. That set did produce tracks like 'Pink Pony Club,' 'Hot to Go!,' and 'Red Wine Supernova.' While many of her most famous cuts — including 'Good Luck, Babe!' and 'The Giver' — are likely to be featured on a forthcoming project, though Roan has no timetable for when she may finish her sophomore full-length.
