How has the media wronged Nadiya Hussain?

Nadiya Hussain's recipes have become staples in households across the country and acquired for the TV presenter and cookery writer the status of national treasure. However, her reaction to the BBC's decision not to commission a new series from her leaves a bitter taste and prompts the thought that her secret ingredient all along might have been celebrity entitlement.
Over the weekend, the Great British Bake Off winner posted a video update on Instagram for her 950,000 followers. After explaining her social media absence (events in Gaza were making it 'hard to post about food in a positive way') and letting us know about changes in her professional dealings ('I'm way more mindful of who I work with, brands I work with, especially if they are brands that support the genocide'), Hussain revealed that the BBC had 'decided that they didn't want to commission a show'.

Scott Wolf's wife of 21 years announces shock SPLIT with cryptic message to fans

After 21 years of marriage, Scott Wolf and his wife Kelley are headed for divorce. The longtime couple wed back in 2004 and are parents to three children. Kelley, 48, confirmed the divorce from the Party Of Five star, 57, in a cryptic Instagram post on Tuesday. 'It is with a heavy heart that Scott and I are moving forward with the dissolution of our marriage,' she began in a message to fans. 'This has been a long, quiet journey for me—rooted in hope, patience, and care for our children.' Kelley did not reveal the reason for the split but later spoke about 'healing' and finding 'freedom' in this next chapter of her life. She also referred to Scott as 'one of the best partners a woman could have the privilege of sharing life with' before asking fans to respect their family's privacy. Kelley, 48, confirmed the divorce from the Party Of Five star, 57, in a cryptic Instagram post on Tuesday Kelley's post continued: 'While I will not speak publicly about the details, I feel peace knowing that I've done everything I can to walk this path with integrity and compassion. 'Scott Wolf is one of the best fathers I've ever known and one of the best partners a woman could have the privilege of sharing life with. He is kind, thoughtful, funny, and beautiful in spirit. 'We both look forward to an extraordinary life centered around the most extraordinary children. 'My priority has always been their wellbeing—and my own healing. That will never change. 'I am stepping into a chapter of peace, freedom, and protection—with grace,' Kelley wrote. 'Thank you to the many friends, family, and professionals who have held space for me with love. 'Please respect our privacy during this time. May we all remember: healing isn't loud. It's sacred,' she concluded. Along with her heartfelt words, Kelley included an AI generated image of a lioness with three eagles flying overhead. Scott has yet to publicly address his and Kelley's shock split. Fans immediately flocked to the comments on Kelley's post, with one admitting that they 'sensed [the divorce] was coming.' 'Always sad to hear when a beautiful couple doesn't make it. Peace filled hearts to you both,' another penned. Many marveled at maturity with which Kelley handled the divorce announcement. 'This has to be the most heartwarming conscious uncoupling I've ever read. The depth of thought, compassion, kindness, and maturity should be an example and inspiration to all others parting ways,' one comment read. Just one week prior to Tuesday's divorce announcement, Scott and Kelley celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary. The couple did not publicly honor the milestone on their respective social media pages. The year prior, Kelley made a concerning revelation while paying tribute to Scott on their 20th wedding anniversary. The reality TV star revealed that she 'almost walked out' the relationship early in their engagement when she noticed Scott starting to 'poke at me, challenge me.' 'The first few times, I wrote it off as stress or the beginnings of getting to know somebody's idiosyncrasies,' Kelley wrote. 'But then, I had this feeling come back to me that I had in the past. It was a feeling that I didn't like, and a feeling, I had worked very hard to process, heal, and make sure I noticed when/if it ever came again. 'It was the feeling of self betrayal. It was the feeling of bending myself in order to accommodate another person even when I knew that I had done nothing wrong.' She said that she previously experienced 'this feeling' in a past 'toxic relationship.' 'My old pattern had returned. I was scrambling to make myself more accommodating, less aggravating, whatever it was that seem to be pushing him away. And then I woke up one morning and said 'wait a minute' I've done this game before and I'm not doing this again,' she wrote. Kelley recalled taking off her engagement ring and handing it to Scott before telling him that she 'will not stick around while somebody tries to excavate fault in me.' 'I turned around and walked towards the door. And like I had done before in my life, I was ready to walk out the door with the girl that I promised to save.' When left with the possibility of losing her forever, Kelley said that Scott stepped up and fought for their relationship. 'But, this love story wasn't over. Scott looked at me, and some thing happened… 'He said, "You are really going to leave. I believe you. I can see it. I can feel it. And there is no chance in hell I am going to let that happen, so let's do this,"' Kelley recalled. '"Let's do this hard part, the uncomfortable part. The part where I have to look in the mirror and see my old pattern where I have tried to find fault in somebody in the hopes that I would prove that nobody can really do the hard stuff and stick around."' 'We all know that our patterns come from the things that have happened to us in life. Scott had never been shown what it looked like when LOVE really showed up.' Kelley said that after that moment she and Scott were 'more bonded, more connected, and more clear about the promise we were about to make to each other.' She said their wedding day was full of 'magic' and 'hope' and that her almost walking out the door 'set the stage for so many things' in their 20-year romance. 'Marriage, friendships, relationships of all kinds are a dance. Never to be a straight line. Never without plot, twists, and highs and lows,' she wrote. 'There is one thing we both learned that day, you have to be willing to love yourself the most to truly love somebody else, the most. And yes, like all amazing love stories, we continue to choose the power of love, over and over,' Kelley concluded.

Huw Edwards slashes price of his £4.75million family home AGAIN and his 'divorce has been delayed'

Disgraced ex- BBC presenter Huw Edwards has reportedly been forced to delay his divorce and cannot find a buyer for his £4.75million mansion. The six-bedroom detached property in Dulwich, south London, was put on the market last October after wife Vicky Flind filed for divorce from the former TV front man. The twisted newsreader and his wife first bought the sprawling home for £1.85million in 2006, 13 years after they tied the knot. But after he pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children last July, it was reported that Ms Flind, who is the mother of Edwards' five children, split from her husband and kicked him out of the home. It is understood the mortgage on the property has been fully paid off, meaning a sale will give him a bumper pay-day of around £2million now he is without his £475,000 salary. However, the sale appears to proving more difficult than first expected due to fears the home has been blighted by Edwards' reputation, according to The Sun. There is such little interest in the house that prospective buyers are being told by property website Zoopla that they would be 'one of the first' to view the 'hidden gem', nine months after it was first listed for sale. And they have even slashed the asking price by a whopping £750,000. The six-bedroom detached property in Dulwich, south London, was put on the market last October after Edwards' wife filed for divorce Estate agents in February were willing to accept £4.5million for the property, but dwindling interest has seen this cut to £4million. In an attempt to drum up interest in the south London home, they described it as being situated 'on one of Dulwich's most desirable residential roads'. They say the house, which is kitted out with three bathrooms and three reception rooms across its 4200 sq ft, is 'a substantial detached mid-century family house' with 'exceptionally spacious living accommodation'. An extract from the listing reads: 'The ground floor has a spacious reception hall, three reception rooms, recently re-fitted kitchen/dining room, office/library, cloakroom, utility room and downstairs WC. 'On the first floor there are four double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom and separate dressing room and a family bathroom. 'The second floor has two double bedrooms and a bathroom. Externally to the rear there is a most delightful, mature garden.' The Sun also reported that no decree absolute had been provided to end Edwards' 32-year marriage to Ms Find as of June 5. They say it is unclear whether problems with the sale were a factor in the divorce, which was expected to have been finalised earlier this year.
