In a vibrant celebration of women's empowerment, award-winning media personality and entrepreneur Thando Thabethe has unveiled an exclusive pop-up store for her distinguished lingerie and shapewear brand, Thabooty's. The store will take centre stage at the Mall of Africa from August 4 to 10, 2025, creating an unforgettable shopping experience that honours the strength and diversity of womanhood. She explains the essence of the pop-up store detailing that it does not only guarantee a unique retail experience but also serves as a tribute to the myriad voices that illustrate the varied tapestry of femininity. 'Thabooty's is about celebrating who we are, unapologetically. This Women's Month, we honour the women who continue to break barriers, embrace their bodies, and take up space,' Thabethe stated. Visitors can also anticipate an immersive brand event featuring Thabooty's signature pieces with each item in the collection meticulously designed to empower women while ensuring comfort and a touch of allure. This initiative is particularly relevant in a time when self-acceptance and body positivity take precedence in societal discussions, especially among women. But Thabooty's is not just about lingerie for women. In a bold move, the brand has recently launched a men's range titled 'Tha Bhuti'. This stylish collection encompasses essential items crafted with the same quality and flair that has defined Thabooty's. While the focus remains on Women's Month, the introduction of Tha Bhuti signifies a new chapter for Thabooty's as it champions self-confidence across all genders. The brand's expansion in offerings coincides with Thabethe's recent acclaim as 'The Most Glamorous Media Personality' by Glamour South Africa. This recognition, bestowed during the Glamour Most Glamorous Awards, also highlights her as an influential figure in the South African media landscape. Clad in a stunning custom gown by renowned designer Gert-Johan Coetzee, Thabethe captivated onlookers and reaffirmed her standing as a style icon. Thabethe shared her gratitude, stating, 'To be recognised not just for how I dress but for how I carry myself, that means the world. Glamour is about presence, not just appearance. I'm truly honoured.' Saturday Star
