Real Housewives of London release date announced as explosive teaser drops

Daily Mirror6 hours ago
The Real Housewives of London premieres in just a few weeks.
Hayu has officially announced the release date of its highly anticipated Real Housewives spin-off set in London, and fans won't have to wait much longer.
Production for The Real Housewives of London began in March, featuring six glamorous women joining the popular franchise.

The lineup includes Juliet Angus from Ladies of London, skincare entrepreneur Amanda Cronin, and Karen Loderick-Peace from The Real Housewives of Jersey.

They are joined by Australian-born Juliet Mayhew, socialite Panthea Parker, and Nessie Welschinger, known for her appearance on The Great British Bake Off.
Hayu has confirmed that the new series will premiere on Monday, August 18, with new episodes released weekly, reports OK!.
At the end of the series, beloved comedian Katherine Ryan will host a reunion with the entire cast.

What can viewers expect from The Real Housewives of London?
A newly released teaser showcases the cast engaging in heated arguments as they navigate life in the spotlight. The streaming service has also provided a glimpse into each star's storyline.
For Juliet Angus, Hayu hints: "Between launching her jewellery brand and celebrating 20 years with her husband, Gregor, she's got plenty to toast to... but fractured alliances threaten her hard-won confidence and leave her wondering who to trust.

"As she juggles being a mother and entrepreneur, Juliet struggles to rise above the drama especially when everyone keeps pulling her back into it."
Amanda is balancing love and business, with her skincare line thriving and a luxurious £20 million home to boast.
Her synopsis reveals: "With her skincare line booming and a £20 million designer abode to match, Amanda is reclaiming her narrative and opening herself up to the possibility of a new romance. But her past with Juliet Angus won't stay buried and her biting comebacks and brutal honesty aren't winning everyone over.

"From therapy breakthroughs to blowout fights, Amanda is learning to navigate vulnerability without losing her edge. But as accusations fly and old friends become new enemies, will she finally find peace or just more people to block?"
On the other hand, Karen is adjusting to life as her kids leave home. Hayu hints: "As her children fly the nest, Karen returns to London to finally pursue her dream of launching her own fashion label, Becuz. But re-establishing herself in the city's social scene proves challenging – with whispered rumours, shifting alliances, and loyalty constantly under scrutiny.

"Peace is hard to find when you're caught between clashing Housewives in a group that questions your every move. After experiencing a profound personal loss, Karen leans on her family for strength and begins to see clearly who's truly in her corner. With her status under pressure and her vulnerability often misunderstood, Karen is learning that sometimes, the only way to get clarity is to stir the pot."
Juliet Mayhew's journey is all about her singing career and the inevitable drama that comes with being a Housewife.
Her synopsis teases: "As her singing career makes a bold return and her business ventures expand, Juliet Mayhew finds herself at the centre of the group's gossip – and not always in a good way. Accusations of insincerity and social climbing swirl around her, but Juliet refuses to stay silent.

"With her friendships under fire and her authenticity questioned, Juliet leans on Nessie for support and sets her sights on a drama-free reinvention. But when old wounds are reopened, she's forced to ask: can you really start fresh when everyone else is still stuck in the past?"
Meanwhile, Panthea is gearing up to throw an extravagant birthday party. Hayu hints: "With her sights set on redefining what it means to be a modern mother, Panthea mixes Persian hospitality with party-girl unpredictability. She's trying to keep the peace, but her sharp tongue and unapologetic opinions keep her squarely in the line of fire.

"Accused of taking pleasure in spilling the tea, Panthea hits back with biting wit and some unabashed home truths. But with friendships on thin ice and a big birthday bash looming, she's ready to show London who's really in charge."
Lastly, Nessie will be in the limelight as she focuses on her new children's book, Dinosaur Cookbook.
Her synopsis reads: "As her children's cookbook climbs the charts and her events become can't-miss affairs, Nessie is embracing her role as the group's unshakeable heart.
"But playing peacemaker isn't easy when everyone's at war and this season, even she finds herself drawn into the drama. With health, heritage, integrity and honesty on her mind, Nessie's learning that even the most graceful woman has her limits... and sometimes you've got to raise your voice to be heard."

How John Torode seduced Masterchef champ Lisa Faulkner with letter after brutal split…& ‘secret' to their happy marriage

Last December actress Lisa Faulkner, 53, claimed that axed judge Wallace made "rude joke after rude joke" during her stint on Celebrity Masterchef in 2010. Today it's emerged John, 59, was asked to quit the hugely popular BBC cooking show after he was accused of making a racist remark. The calls for his resignation came as a report upheld 45 allegations of inappropriate behaviour against Wallace, who was fired last week following a seven month investigation. The pair have worked side by side for almost 20 years, but now it's rumoured Wallace will be replaced by food critic Grace Dent. It has been a tough time on and off screen for Australian-born John, whose colourful love life has not always been smooth sailing either. He has been married three times, and has four children. John shares sons Casper and Marselle with his first wife Angela, but they very much shy away from the spotlight. He is also dad to Lou and Jonah from his second marriage to Jessica Thomas, with whom he tied the knot in 2000. When Lisa appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Masterchef they were both married to other people, and initially their relationship was purely platonic. Lisa was still married to actor Chris Coghill, 50, who played Tony King in EastEnders, and the couple had adopted a daughter, Billie, in 2006, when she was 17 months old. But in 2011, a year after she was crowned Masterchef champion, Lisa and Chris decided to separate - the same year that John and Jessica also split. Last year Lisa opened up about the "very dark time" in her life when she and Chris, who divorced in 2014, went through three rounds of failed IVF and suffered an ectopic pregnancy. Both Torode and Lisa have repeatedly denied there was any initial attraction between them, insisting they were just good friends at first. Lisa said: "He was a judge on a show I loved and I was petrified of him. "He was brilliant and gave us all tips so you didn't want to let him down. All I could think was, 'That sauce hasn't worked'. He was a judge on a show I loved and I was petrified of him Lisa Faulkner "I didn't see anything but food for three months. After I won, we did The Good Food Show and stuff. "John and I always got on, but I never thought about me and him." Lisa claimed she and John actually met for the first time on This Morning almost 20 years earlier, when Lisa was a guest and John was cooking, but said he didn't remember. 'He didn't remember me at all. He used to say: 'Oh, all right, yeah,' like he didn't believe me," Lisa said. "And then he did an interview on This Morning where they showed the clip and he came home and said, 'I did meet you!' And I went, 'I know, I did tell you.' 'I remembered it so well. It's really funny. He said he was nervous because it was his first time on telly. I thought he just seemed really arrogant.' "Neither of us thought of it as anything else until... I don't know how things change, but something does," Lisa admitted at the time. "He asked me on a date. We went out for dinner. Then it was slightly different. "I'm really, really happy. John and I are having such a nice time but we're taking things slowly. There are lots of other people to consider." Lisa previously told Good Housekeeping they took things really slowly because of Billie, and "also because I'd been through the end of a marriage". I'm really, really happy. John and I are having such a nice time but we're taking things slowly. There are lots of other people to consider Lisa Faulkner "We had a child and I felt I'd failed in something I never wanted to fail at," she explained. "I never give up on anything, so when you do have to accept that something didn't work, starting a new relationship is a big leap of faith." Torode has since confessed he sent Lisa the letter because he feared she might turn him down and wanted to avoid any awkwardness. He explained: "I'd separated from my wife [Jessica] which was awful, and I was reluctant to approach Lisa face to face as I didn't fancy the prospect of her saying no, so I wrote her a letter. "If I'd got no response, it wouldn't matter. Cowardly? S***, yeah. I'm as cowardly as they get." Secret to happy marriage 13 Torode and Lisa have been happily married since 2019 Credit: Instagram 13 John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen is now in its tenth series Credit: PA Although John and Jessica called it quits in 2011, their divorce was not finalised until 2014. He proposed to Lisa on Christmas Day in 2018 and they married in October 2019 in a lavish star-studded ceremony at Aynhoe Park, a sprawling 17th century estate in the Northamptonshire countryside. Guests included showbiz pals Amanda Holden, Angela Griffin and Tamzin Outhwaite - as well as Gregg Wallace and his wife Anne-Marie. Asked the secret to their happy marriage, Torode said it all comes down to the bedroom. "A really well-made bed," he joked. "You spend lots of time in it! "Honestly, the bedroom – having that sanctuary of a place to go to, I think that's really important. "And nice towels. Looking after yourself is as important as looking after each other." But Lisa says their happy marriage is all down to the sizzling chemistry between them. "We really like and fancy each other,' Lisa revealed in an interview. We really like and fancy each other Lisa Faulkner "What I love about being married is that it's about being a partnership. John and I are a good team. We know how to look after each other." Earlier this month John explained how their happy marriage has been constantly evolving over the six years since their wedding. He said: 'Lisa and I learn from each other all the time. As we have been cooking and working together for many years, I am sure things have changed, but as it's been a constant and consistent journey, it's not something that we feel is noticeable. "What is evident is that we love cooking, food and travel as much as, if not more than, we did when we first met." Greg Wallace scandal Gregg Wallace has today stepped down from MasterChef Star faces probe after allegedly making sexual remarks to 13 colleagues BBC Newsnight presenter and 2011 contestant Kirsty Wark says Wallace told 'sexualised' jokes while filming Gregg accused of talking openly about his sex life, taking his top off in front of a young staffer staffer and telling another he wasn't wearing any pants Previous MasterChef episodes presented by scandal-hit Gregg still on iPlayer MasterChef star Aasmah Mir shares cryptic 'always keep your receipts' post BBC will still air two Masterchef festive specials this Christmas - despite both being fronted by Gregg Wallace Lisa added: "We're always learning from each other. We often do things differently, so I know I'm always learning something new from John, and I'm sure he would say the same." The couple present John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen on ITV, now in its tenth series, with extra episodes planned for Christmas, and they have published several bestselling books. They often speak about their playful banter, their support for each other's careers, and the simple pleasure of cooking and eating together. "We just get on, we laugh a lot," Lisa said. 'He's very romantic. We both are. We look after each other. If he's out before me in the morning, he'll leave a cup with a teabag in by the kettle and a note saying, 'I love you.' He's very romantic. We both are. We look after each other Lisa Faulkner "I do the same – I put notes in his bag when he goes away. And he makes me the most amazing food. That's so romantic. "It's the little things that are important – I love it when we cook for each other. Food is our thing, it's how we show that we love each other.' Pals reckon Lisa has had a positive impact on John, making him "less aggressive". She previously told Fabulous: 'I don't know if arrogance is the right word because I find arrogance quite attractive. He is brash and he knows how good he is at certain things. "But I think he has got less… aggressive, maybe. He's definitely softened. "I went to lunch the other day and somebody said, 'Oh my gosh, you've completely turned him around. He was so moody on MasterChef. He was always so grumpy and he's just lovely now.' "I went: 'OK, I'll take all the credit'.' 13 The couple on this morning together earlier this month Credit: Shutterstock Editorial 13 Torode with his son Jonah from his second marriage Credit: Instagram 13 Torode posted snaps of daughter Lou as she celebrated her 18th birthday Credit: Instagram

Matt Tebbutt throws his support behind John Torode despite being lined up to replace him on MasterChef

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SATURDAY Kitchen star Matt Tebbutt has publicly backed John Torode after the BBC asked him to step away from his MasterChef job. Even though Tebbutt, 51, is among the favourites to replace Torode, 59, should he walk away from the programme, he liked the Australian chef's rebuttal of an accusation of racism levelled against him. 5 Matt Tebbutt is a front runner to replace John Torode on MasterChef Credit: PA 5 Torode has denied using racist language after an allegation was made against him Credit: PA 5 Tebbutt liked Torode's statement in which he defended himself against an historic claim of racism Torode posted a statement on social media last night in which he confirmed he was the unnamed party who allegedly used racist language in an report into former co-star Gregg Wallace's conduct. He insists he has no memory of the incident and denies it ever happened. So far, he has not fallen on his sword and currently remains as the show's host. The claim against him emerged as part of an investigation into his shamed former co-star Gregg Wallace that saw 45 of 83 allegations of bad behaviour upheld against him. While food critic Grace Dent has already led the celebrity version of the show and is a favourite to present the amateur version too, Tebbutt is also being lined up. It's believed he has already landed the job fronting MasterChef: The Professionals. He has experience of taking over a popular food show after the departure of an established host. Tebbutt replaced James Martin on Saturday Kitchen in 2016 after the Yorkshireman left the Beeb to host his own Saturday morning show on rival network ITV. A TV insider said: 'Both Grace and Matt are well thought of at the Beeb and the one thing they want in the wake of the show's recent crisis is familiarity and safety. 'They're also conscious that having a male and female pairing is a welcome break from it being fronted by two blokes.' Meanwhile, Torode was cited — but not named — in findings published over a racist remark he allegedly made during a private conversation. Torode, who has hosted the BBC1 cooking show with Wallace since 2005, was shocked to be told of the allegation — which did not receive a complaint at the time but had been raised with investigators. 'Devastated' Gregg Wallace FIRED by BBC over MasterChef sexual comments In a farcical turn of events, the BBC was unable to specify the time or date of the allegation, narrowing it down to '2018 or 2019'. Shockingly, sources said the BBC and production company Banijay asked John to resign from the beleaguered show last week and claim he had mental health problems — to which he refused. He issued a statement to The Sun confirming he was the individual in the Wallace investigation who was 'alleged to have used racial language on one occasion'. However John — married to actress and ex-Celebrity MasterChef contestant Lisa Faulkner, 53 — believes it never even happened. The dad of four said: 'The allegation is I did so sometime between 2018 or 2019, in a social situation, and the person I was speaking with did not believe it was intended in a malicious way and I apologised immediately afterwards. "I have absolutely no recollection of any of this, and I do not believe that it happened 'However, I want to be clear that I've always had the view that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment. 'I'm shocked and saddened by the allegation as I would never wish to cause anyone any offence.' 5 John married actress and ex-Celebrity MasterChef contestant Lisa Faulkner Credit: PA:Press Association 5 John and Gregg began hosting a revamped MasterChef in 2005 Credit: Shine Ltd It is understood to be the only issue involving him in the report, though a source close to him said he is 'absolutely devastated to have been pulled into this mess'. They went on: 'He was at drinks after filming when he is alleged to have used an inappropriate racial term. "The witness said he apologised instantly, and he was mortified. 'The witness even stated he didn't use the term as a slur. 'No one complained at the time, but it's been brought up during the inquiry. "Shockingly he was only made aware of the incident two weeks ago and was only informed on Friday that it would be upheld." John Torode's statement in full Following publication of the Executive Summary of the Investigation into Gregg Wallace while working on MasterChef, I am aware of speculation that I am one of the two other individuals against whom an allegation has been upheld. For the sake of transparency I confirm that I am the individual who is alleged to have used racial language on one occasion. The allegation is that I did so sometime between 2018 or 2019, in a social situation, and that the person I was speaking with did not believe that it was intended in a malicious way and that I apologised immediately afterwards. I have absolutely no recollection of any of this, and I do not believe that it happened. However, I want to be clear that I've always had the view that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment. I'm shocked and saddened by the allegation as I would never wish to cause anyone any offence. The BBC called John on Thursday night, followed by an email on Friday, asking him to step back. He was told to have his answer by Monday. A source claimed: 'They ambushed him, and it was suggested he quit due to the stress and scrutiny of the furore around the show. 'Obviously he was absolutely shocked and appalled and told them quite firmly he didn't have any mental health issues. "To try to use mental health as a get-out clause seems incredibly low — and is also deeply unfair to those with genuine mental health trauma. 'John absolutely loves MasterChef, and doesn't want to lose his job because of an investigation into his co-star."
