Nation's No. 1 CB Reveals His Top School Ahead Of Key Recruiting Visits
Five-star cornerback Duvay Williams has one college football program at the top of his list as he prepares to take multiple visits over the summer.
Williams (6-foot-1, 165 pounds) plays for Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, California. As a sophomore in 2024, he totaled 47 tackles, 16 pass breakups with an interception on defense while adding 12 catches for 196 yards as a receiver (MaxPreps).

The highly-coveted recruit is rated as the No. 1 cornerback, the No. 1 player in the state and the No. 3 overall player in the class of 2027, per Rivals.
Williams, who already holds 33 scholarship offers entering his junior year, unofficially visited multiple programs this spring, including Miami, Texas A&M, UCLA and USC.
And it appears that head coach Lincoln Riley's Trojans made a significant impression, as Williams named home-state USC as the leader, according to On3's Chad Simmons.
The Trojans are 'without a question' the top program in Williams' recruitment, he said via On3.

Williams also plans to take trips to Michigan, Ohio State, Georgia, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Auburn, and Florida State over the next few months. Those will be unofficial visits given his status as a class of 2027 recruit.

It's not a surprise to see USC trending in the right direction for Williams. Riley and Co. currently hold the top class in the 2026 cycle, and 16 of those 28 commits hail from the state of California.
'I like how they do things with their players on and off the field,' Williams said via On3. 'Education is important to me and USC is one of the top academic schools in the country. Then, USC is USC. All the legends go there. It's right in my backyard, so why not?'

New York Giants bolster offensive line in 3-team trade proposal
The New York Giants will enter a crucial season relying heavily on an offensive line that needs to stay healthy. While injuries are unpredictable, the Giants managed to add some depth to the offensive line this offseason. General manager Joe Schoen signed offensive tackles James Hudson III and Stone Forsythe in free agency while adding Marcus Mbow in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft. Even with those additions, the Giants haven't had the benefit of injury luck over the last few seasons. When looking at potential three-team trades that would shake up the NFL, Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski included New York in a proposed deal that certainly fits the bill. In his three-team trade pitch, the Giants send edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Jonah Williams. Miami would send wide receiver Tyreek Hill to Arizona in this scenario. Arizona would have to send a proven blocker to the New York Giants to make a deal happen in this scenario. They have suffered through multiple false starts trying to rebuild their offensive line. Despite multiple high investments in the position group, it's still not quite where it should be. Williams has the potential to slide into right tackle and complete the fivesome, while the ever-reliable Kelvin Beachum Jr. holds down the fort on Arizona's strong side. To fully entice the Dolphins and make all of this happen, the Giants move Kayvon Thibodeaux thanks to the depth they now have among their pass-rushers after selecting Abdul Carter with this year's third overall draft pick. While New York plans to keep Thibodeaux in the short term, he's not likely to remain with the team beyond the 2026 campaign when his rookie deal is complete. This would be a massive change for the Giants' roster. They would be trading from a position of strength with their defensive line after adding Abdul Carter with the No. 3 overall pick in the draft. Williams, the former first-round pick with the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2019 draft, has struggled mostly to live up to his draft capital, allowing an average of 39 total pressures per season when he was the starter in Cincinnati from 2020-2023, per Pro Football Focus. The Giants currently have Jermaine Eluemunor manning the right tackle position as he enters the final year of his contract. He's a versatile player, so he could slide inside to right guard if needed, but the right tackle position is his best spot. It's that time of the offseason when we're simply waiting for football to return, so it's unlikely a deal like this gets done. But it does highlight the need for the Giants' offensive line to step up in 2025.

Former Texas A&M QB is fully behind QB Marcel Reed ahead of the 2025 season
It's been an interesting offseason for Texas A&M, dominated by the Aggies' elite 2026 recruiting class, which has already gained seven commitments since Wednesday afternoon. However, recruiting is all about preparing for the future, as the focus will quickly shift to the 2025 season, with fall practice less than two months away. Whether it's Aggies Wire, TexAgs, GigEm247, or AggieYell, Texas A&M coverage will be fair and balanced. However, the question hovering above starting quarterback Marcel Reed is whether his offseason improvement as a pocket passer will be evident when the Aggies open the 2025 campaign against UTSA on August 31. Reed will enter the 2025 season as the full-time starter after being thrust into the spotlight amid Conner Weigman's injury issues last season, and with Weigman now the starting quarterback for the Houston Cougars, Reed will need to be an above-average thrower while utilizing his legs in OC Collin Klein's balanced system. Reed's throwing mechanics are improving, and from the videos his Father, Rod Reed, has released, his velocity, accuracy, and touch appear to have significantly improved. Again, Reed does not have to be perfect, knowing that the Aggies' elite offensive line is paired with the deepest running back room in the country. However, outside of our opinion regarding Reed's progress this summer, former Texas A&M star quarterback Jerrod Johnson, who currently serves as the Houston Texans' Quarterbacks Coach, spoke to TexAgs Live on Wednesday afternoon to not only discuss his ascending career, but also provide his opinion Marcel Reed's future as the Aggies' starting signal caller. "He's athletic. He has good arm talent. He's had some games where he's made plays... I think he's got a ton of potential." Johnson's career finished on a low note due to his injury issues. Still, in four seasons, the once dark horse Heisman Trophy candidate threw for 8,011 yards and 67 touchdowns, and continues to be one of the favorite for Aggie football players that is on his way to becoming an NFL head coach, similar to Dan Campbell's rise as the Detroit Lions' head coach. While there are some similarities to Johnson's game, Marcel Reed is a better athlete who could end up being one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC if he improves as a passer due to his elite running ability. Jerrod Johnson is a respected quarterback coach at the highest level of football, so taking his opinion about Reed's play into account is worthwhile. Longhorns commit Richard Wesley showcases his potential at Five-Star Event
Richard Wesley make the most of Rivals Five-Star Event Earlier this week, some of the top high school players in the country gathered at the Indianapolis Colts practice facility for the Rivals Five-Star event. That included Richard Wesley, who recently committed to the Texas Longhorns. In front of some of the nation's best talent, Wesley showed why he is a special player. The event, which took place from June 23 to 24, provided a platform for players to showcase their skills. It also included one day dedicated to media and the other to on-field competition. Once the event wrapped up, On3 ranked the top 10 performers, and Wesley made the list. His play stood out to On3 national scout Cody Bellaire who left a glowing review about Wesley's play. 'His ability to win with speed and power was on full display during the competition periods,' he wrote. 'The new Texas commit's hand usage was phenomenal. Wesley was rarely beaten at the point of attack, quickly gaining leverage. He forklifted Tennessee offensive tackle commit Gabe Osenda into the quarterback dummy, despite being outweighed by nearly 100 pounds. Wesley did an excellent job utilizing speed to power throughout the session, walking several offensive tackles into the backfield. The physical and technical tools were on display at Rivals Five-Star.' Before committing to Texas, Wesley was ranked as the second-best edge in the country by 247Sports. He also drew interest from Oregon, Arizona State, California, and Colorado State. Now, he will be counted on to be a key piece for the Longhorn's defense. Over the last few years, Texas has excelled at getting the best out of its edge rushers. While excitement is growing daily for Wesley's collegiate debut, he still has some business to attend to. That includes winning a high school state championship in his final season of high school career before hopefully helping the Longhorns bring a national championship to Austin.
