Jenna Ortega Appears in Dark First Glimpse at 'Wednesday' Season 2 — Watch!
It looks like classes at Nevermore Academy are back in session for Wednesday Addams! But this time around, things are seemingly taking a darker turn.
On Thursday, Jan. 30, Netflix unveiled a first look at the upcoming second season of the Jenna Ortega-led series in a promotional sizzle reel teasing the many titles hitting the streamer in 2025.
The video begins with a young woman who attempts to stream Stranger Things in a work meeting being transported through the many different worlds of Netflix's programming. From there, we see her encountering the guards of Squid Game and the iconic Black Mirror logo.
We then see the woman donning Wednesday Addams' signature braided ponytails while wearing a Nevermore Academy uniform before Ortega, herself, appears as the character.
The clip shows the gates of Willowhill Psychiatric Hospital, where Tyler Galpin's (Hunter Doohan) mom Francoise was admitted due to her transformation as a hyde — a mutated species of monster that was previously banned from Nevermore Academy.
As Ortega's Wednesday hits the screen, she stares down Tyler as he's chained to a wall.

Wednesday, produced by Tim Burton (who also directed the first season), was an instant hit upon making its Netflix debut in November 2022. The series follows Ortega's titular Wednesday as she navigates her teenage years at Nevermore Academy.
Ortega, 22, starred alongside Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Moosa Mostafa, Victor Dorobantu, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, all of whom are set to return for season 2. However, fellow season 1 stars Percy Hynes White, Jamie McShane and Naomi J Ogawa are reportedly not coming back for the upcoming installment, per Deadline.

Production on season 2 recently wrapped and will arrive on the streamer later this year. Ahead of its eventual premiere, Ortega had teased that the new installment is dialing the scare factor up a notch.
"I think the feel that we're going for is a little bit more horror-inspired," she told Vanity Fair in August 2024. "Not to say that suddenly we're the goriest show of all time. I mean, there's six-year-olds watching. We're doing this thing now where Wednesday just kind of appears. She is a little bit of a jump scare herself."
Season 1 of Wednesday is available to stream in full on Netflix.

Duchess Meghan dances, twerks with Prince Harry in throwback video
Duchess Meghan dances, twerks with Prince Harry in throwback video Show Caption Hide Caption Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, renames lifestyle brand to 'As Ever' As she began promoting her new Netflix show titled "With Love, Meghan," the Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a video filmed by her husband, Prince Harry. Cover Media Duchess Meghan is showing she isn't afraid to let loose. The duchess posted a video appearing to twerk and drop it low Wednesday, June 4, with the As Ever founder and "With Love" star taking to Instagram to share footage, seemingly captured on a cellphone, of herself and Prince Harry dancing before the birth of their now-4-year-old daughter Lilibet. The couple glided across the hospital room to the "Baby Momma" dance song by Starrkeisha, the alter ego of YouTube sensation Cameron J Henderson. "Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work - there was only one thing left to do!" Meghan captioned the post. Princess Lilibet is 4: Duchess Meghan shares sweet new photos with Prince Harry Earlier in the day, the proud mom posted never-before-seen photos of the couple's youngest child, who turned another year older on June 4. "The sweetest bond to watch unfold 💕 Daddy's little girl and favorite adventurer," Meghan captioned rare photos of Harry and Lilibet, including one of the royal looking into his newborn's eyes, and another of the pair walking barefoot on a dirt road. "Happy birthday Lili!" Lilibet, who shares a childhood nickname for Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, is also seen an earlier set of intimate black-and-white snaps as both a toddler held tightly by Meghan in a shot by the ocean, and as a newborn, swaddled and lying against her mom's chest. Harry and Meghan also share Archie, the couple's 6-year-old son. Following a reclusive few years for the family of four after leaving British royal duties behind in 2020, the "Suits" alum reemerged in 2025 with a Netflix show "With Love" and companion lifestyle brand called As Ever, inspired by her pre-Harry pursuits. As she peels back the layers of the family's personal life, the up-and-coming mogul has maintained her children's privacy by hiding their faces in photographs — a common move for celebrities in Hollywood. Amid their next chapter, Meghan took to Instagram last month to give fans a glimpse at her love story with Harry to celebrate the couple's anniversary. "Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories," the duchess wrote in an Instagram caption alongside a photo of a corkboard decorated with shots of the couple throughout their courtship, engagement and marriage. Jacob Tremblay, Russell Crowe to star in Unabomber film at Netflix
1 of 5 | Actor Jacob Tremblay arrives for the E! People's Choice Awards in 2019. He will star in the upcoming film "UNABOMB." File Photo by Jim Ruymen/UPI | License Photo June 4 (UPI) -- Netflix is announcing the cast of Unabom, a new film about Ted Kaczynski, widely known as the Unabomber. Jacob Tremblay (Wonder) will play Kaczynski, who was arrested in 1996 after carrying out mail bomb attacks in the United States for nearly two decades, leaving three people dead and 23 wounded. Russell Crowe (Gladiator) portrays the Harvard professor who put Kaczynski through "controversial psychological experiments," according to the official synopsis. "UNABOM is a story about a young man who feels increasingly disenfranchised by society and decides to take up violence as a means of revenge. We crosscut between two timelines, roughly speaking: the making of the Unabomber and the capture of the Unabomber," said Janus Metz, who directs. Shailene Woodley's character helms the FBI manhunt, while Annabelle Wallis portrays Crow's partner. The real-life Kaczynski died at age 81 in June 2023 while serving his prison sentence.
