It comes after Aldi's legal battle with M&S

It rivals a popular M&S buy and back in 2021, the chain launched a legal battle against Aldi, accusing it of copying its Colin the Caterpillar cake.
The posh chain argued the similarity of Aldi's cake and wanted the retailer to agree not to sell the sweet treat.
By 2022, the supermarkets had reached a confidential agreement out of court and called a truce in the bug-shaped cake war.
The companies did not disclose the terms of the settlement - but both cakes would still be sold.
At the time, an Aldi spokesperson said: 'Cuthbert is free and looking forward to seeing all his fans again very soon!'
While an M&S spokesperson said: 'The objective of the claim was to protect the IP in our Colin the Caterpillar cake and we are very pleased with the outcome.'
And now, four years later after the rivalry began, the German retailer's chocolate sponge roll, Cuthbert the Caterpillar, is back in stores.
Aldi, a chain well-known for its copycat products, launched its caterpillar cake in 2019 for £4.99, while M&S charges a pricier £7.
M&S first launched the iconic cake 30 years ago and its design has been largely unchanged since 2004.
Posting on social media, on the chain's official @aldispecialbuysuk account, the supermarket gave shoppers a close-up look at the mouth-watering treat in a joke-style video.
ALDI goes undercover to showcase its great-value wines
Aldi shared clips of Cuthbert 'in the wild' and wrote: 'Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it returned to the baked goods aisle.'
Now, Aldi's Cuthbert the Caterpillar cake is priced at £6.49.
Just like Colin, Cuthbert, who was placed under a tree and hanging on a branch in the humorous clip, is made with a chocolate sponge cake filled with chocolate buttercream.
It also comes with a white chocolate face.
Foodies beam
The short video announcing the news has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 76,800 views in less than 24 hours.
Not only this, but it's also amassed 1,174 likes and 49 comments, with many overjoyed to see 'Cuthbert's comeback'.

Meanwhile, someone else wrote: 'Literally just bought one for my hubby's birthday.'
At the same time, one user penned: 'Winning that legal battle sure feels refreshing don't it.'
Not only this, but one happy shopper beamed: 'Yay 🙌🏻 please can we have a vegan version too?'
To this, an Aldi employee replied and wrote: 'Not a bad idea…'

B&M shoppers rush to buy garden essential scanning in for more than 50% off in nationwide summer sale
B&M shoppers are rushing to get their hands on this garden essential that is scanning for more than 50 per cent off in the nationwide summer sale. With the budget retailer's summer sale well underway, eagle-eyed customers were quick to spot this bargain deal. 2 2 The price of this sought after garden bench has already dropped to £45 from £60, however, shoppers have been left stunned by the huge saving at the checkout. People are snatching up the benches for just £20 each. Customers, who couldn't believe their luck, were quick to express their excitement on social media. One took to Facebook to share the news, writing: "These benches from b+m still said £45 on the label but on the app and at the till they scanned at £20 each." The post instantly gained lots of attention and has sent shoppers rushing to stores to get their hands on the discounted garden goods. One user was quick to comment: "Thank you, just been to our local one at wellingbro and they scanned at £30 there too." The black rattan effect bench makes for the perfect addition to your garden to soak up the last of the summer sun. This comes after B&M launched its huge sale with starting prices of just £4. The bargain retailer is flogging the huge selection of home essentials as part of its Special Buy sale. Among the items up for grabs are handy clothing rails, side tables and floating shelves for less than £10. The major discounts were also spotted by a savvy shopper on the Bargain Lovers's Facebook page. They shared a selection of photos from their local store's sale section with the caption: "At B&M" with the eyes emoji. The secret way you can get £5 vouchers from H&M AND clean out your wardrobe - and you can do it six times a month too Garden decor buys have also been slashed in the summer sale. In addition to picking up a bargain bench, other discounted offerings include outdoor lights and planters for as little as £4. This also isn't the first time shoppers have rushed to buy an item scanning for a cheaper price. Earlier this month, B&M fans raced to make whopping £39 savings on childrens toys. Swathes of savvy savers have spotted cut-price deals in branches, with a number posting their finds on Facebook. One uploaded pictures of Monster High and Sonic the Hedgehog toys scanning for just £1 and a Zuru Max dinosaur egg toy for £3. Another said they found stationery sets for 50p and kids clogs for only 10p. A third and fourth found a Tiffany's World set and Rapid Fire pinball game for just £1. How to save money at B&M Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M's scanner app. The scanner lets you see if an item's price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label. Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift. The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store. According to one ex-B&M manager, you'll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too. Here's how you can join the B&M bargain hunt: Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play. Once you've installed it on your device, click on the option labelled "more" on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page. You'll then find an option that says "barcode scanner". Click on this and you'll open a camera screen. Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check. If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price. You don't need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.

Barcelona finally resolve Marcus Rashford problem with last-minute decision
Barcelona have been struggling to secure Marcus Rashford's La Liga registration following his loan move from Manchester United but the situation now appears to have been resolved Barcelona have finally managed to secure Marcus Rashford 's registration following Hansi Flick 's complaints. The Manchester United star joined the Catalan giants on a season-long loan earlier this summer. Despite the move being approved, Barcelona were unable to register Rashford for the forthcoming La Liga season. And should that not have been approved, then the forward could have potentially been sidelined until January. It appears however that Barcelona have managed to find a solution to the issue. Rashford's profile appeared on the La Liga website appeared for the first time alongside that of Joan Garcia - who was also facing registration problems following his summer switch. Gerard Martin and Wojciech Szczesny remained absent, potentially suggesting that Barcelona were attempting to stagger the registrations. Barcelona have needed help from goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen to alleviate their financial difficulties. They have agreed that the German serves a temporary medical leave agreement that frees up around 80 percent of his wages. The news that both Rashford and Garcia are available for this weekend's season opener vs Mallorca will be welcome news for boss Hansi Flick, who made his displeasure at the ongoing situation known. 'For me, the situation, you can imagine I'm not happy about that. But I know the situation and I believe in the club,' the German said on Friday. 'We have to wait till tomorrow. It was the same situation last season. We will focus on what we can change and what is in our hands. The other things, I believe in the club.' Elsewhere, Rashford has already spoken out on his first few weeks with Barcelona and claimed that he has found it easy to adapt. Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, he said: 'There are good people who are like a bridge. 'Frenkie [de Jong] speaks really good English, Jules [Kounde] speaks very good English, but they also have good Spanish because they've been here a few years. 'But on the pitch, honestly it's easier than what I thought it would be. Also football overall, I know a lot of people say it, but it's a language in itself and it's easy to communicate through the general vibe on the pitch.' Following their season opener against Mallorca, Barcelona are back in action next weekend as they travel to Levante. Barcelona's first home game of the season will not take place until after the international break due to the ongoing renovation of the Nou Camp. BBC star chef announces sudden closure of top 100 UK restaurant as he admits ‘it hasn't been working for some time'
The beloved eatery will close after service on September 21 OUT OF STEAM BBC star chef announces sudden closure of top 100 UK restaurant as he admits 'it hasn't been working for some time' Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A BBC‑featured chef has stunned the nation by abruptly closing down his UK Top 100 restaurant. His announcement, posted on social media, admitted bluntly: 'it hasn't been working for some time.' Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Deri Reed has become known for his ethical approach to cooking Credit: Instagram/@ethicalchef From the red‑carpet glow of Great British Menu to the grit of real‑world restaurant ownership, Deri Reed has called time on The Warren. His eatery in Carmarthen, Wales, has long enjoyed acclaim—and not just from the critics. Firmly lodged in the UK's Top 100, it became a favourite dining spot in the heart of the Welsh town. But as the post revealed, the relentless climb of costs has been an uphill battle. In a post on Instagram, Deri wrote: "We're Closing - it's taken me a long time to write this announcement, as it's something I've been putting off for too long. "For those of you who know me well, you'll know how much weight I've carried in running The Warren. "Behind the front, there's a man doing his best to keep afloat a business built on strong human and environmental ethics, while also trying to look after himself, his relationships, his home and his community. "The truth is, it hasn't been working for me for some time." He told customers that The Warren would be "going into hibernation for a little while" after service on September 21. "I don't see this as an ending. I imagine a future where this space is alive with new collaborations, where community food projects have a home here, and where The Warren continues to make noise from the streets of Carmarthen," he added. "With the support of some brilliant people and organisations, I'll be exploring what that could look like. "In the meantime, our team is ready to give you the best of what we've got over the next five weeks. "So please do come in, enjoy a meal with us, use any vouchers you've been holding onto, and help us celebrate the wonderful achievements we've made together so far." Many took to social media to express their heartbreak, with one writing: "Ah I'm so sad to read this! But you always have to do what's best for you." "It's really tough having ethics in the hospitality business, or indeed just having an independent hospitality business- well done for sticking to your principles and I sincerely hope there's a phoenix rising soon!" Another echoed: "So sad to read this and excited to see what is next for you... sending all the love and encouragement to you." Deri won Chef of the Year at the Food Made Good awards in 2019, and is also a key member of the Cegin Hedyn - a community kitchen and canteen in Camarthen. It first opened in 2022 and serves plant-based, canteen-style lunches to diners who pay what they can. He was also a BBC Morning Live Community Food Champion in 2024 and has made countless TV appearances. 2 The chef said the business hadn't been working for a 'long time' Credit: Instagram/@ethicalchef
