
Kathryn Newton, Lana Condor Team Up for Survival Thriller "Devil's Mouth" at Amazon MGM Studios

Kathryn Newton and Lana Condor are teaming up for Jeff Wadlow's next project, "Devil's Mouth."
The survival thriller, a co-production between Amazon MGM Studios and Lionsgate, follows college friends who, on a trip to get to Thailand who get trapped in an underwater cave system with a bull shark. Old tensions and power struggles resurface as they fight to survive.
Aja Gabel (Sunny, The Staircase, upcoming Five Star Weekend) and Myung Joh Wesner (Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, High Potential) wrote the script, which was featured on the 2019 Black List, with the latest revisions by Wadlow.
Producers include Thunder Road Films' Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, and Wadlow. Thunder Road is natch, behind the John Wick movies. Carsten Lorenz will executive produce. Chelsea Kujawa will oversee for Lionsgate.
Helen Lee-Kim and Michael Meyer negotiated the deal on behalf of Lionsgate.
Newton most recently starred opposite Dan Stevens in Universal's vampire thriller "Abigail".
Last year, she starred in Lisa Frankenstein for Focus Features. She also made her debut in the Marvel Universe as Cassie Lang in "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania", and headlined Amazon MGM Studios' sci-fi romance "The Map of Tiny Perfect Things".
She also starred in the body-swap slasher "Freaky" opposite Vince Vaughn. Her earlier credits include blockbusters like "Pokémon Detective Pikachu", Netflix's fan-favorite series "The Society", and Universal's "Blockers", the top-grossing R-rated comedy of 2018. Up next, she will star in Searchlight's "Ready or Not 2", opposite Samara Weaving.
Condor was recently seen starring in "Valiant One", which was released in January, and will next be seen in the romantic comedy "Worth the Wait" for Tubi.
Next in film, Condor will star in the action-thriller "Ballerina Overdrive", produced by David Leitch. She also stars in "Coyote vs. Acme" alongside Will Forte and John Cena, which is expected to release worldwide in theaters sometime next year.
On TV, Condor recently appeared in several episodes of "Abbott Elementary".
She became a household name in 2018 with the launch of Netflix's feature film "To All the Boys I've Loved Before", based on Jenny Han's New York Times bestselling novel.
Condor reprised her role in "To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You" (2020) and "To All the Boys: Always and Forever" (2021). Additional credits include "Moonshot", "Alita: Battle Angel", "Boo, Bitch", "Deadly Class", "X-Men: Apocalypse", and "Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken".

Lady Gaga Appears in Netflix's "Wednesday" First Look
Yara Sameh Netflix released a clip of the first six minutes of 'Wednesday' Season 2 at the Tudum 2025 event — which confirmed Lada Gaga's cameo appearance that she shot in Ireland in one day. At the celebration, Gaga performed an original song that will be featured on this season's soundtrack. She has been in Los Angeles preparing for the celebration, including various rehearsals. In the clip, Haley Joel Osment stars as a serial killer called the Kansas City Scalper. Along with Ortega, cast members returning to 'Wednesday' are Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Jamie McShane and Fred Armisen. Season 2 will also feature new series regulars Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. Besides Osment, guest stars are Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O'Connor, Heather Matarazzo and Joonas Suotamo will appear as guest stars. According to Netflix, Gaga plays Rosaline Rotwood — a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday. Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, "Wednesday" follows the titular Addams to Nevermore Academy, where she learns to master her emerging psychic abilities. In Season 1, she uncovers a killing spree that was connected to her parents, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán), who met at the school 15 years earlier. 'Wednesday' became a massive hit for Netflix when it debuted in November 2022, eventually becoming the streamer's most-watched TV season of all time. Yara Sameh 'One Piece' Season 2 will set sail on Netflix in 2026 with actress Mikaela Hoover joining the live-action series as the voice of fan-favorite character Tony Tony Chopper. Hoover also does the facial capture for the little reindeer-human hybrid doctor who will be teaming up with pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his band of Straw Hats. Based on Eiichiro Oda's beloved manga and subsequent anime series 'One Piece,' the live-action series follows Luffy and his crew on a perilous journey to find the legendary fabled treasure, One Piece, and become King of the Pirates.
