Chris Brown was arrested Thursday in England, stemming from an incident that occurred at a London nightclub in February 2023.

Chris Brown Files $500 Million Suit Against Warner Bros. Over Sexual Assault Allegations in Doc
'A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm,' London police said. 'He has been taken into custody, where he remains. The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023. The investigation is being led by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit.'
A rep for Brown did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone's request for comment.
In October 2023, music producer Amadou 'Abe' Diaw filed a $16 million lawsuit against Brown, accusing the singer of 'beating him over the head' with a tequila bottle and 'ruthlessly' stomping on him when they were both at a London nightclub the previous February.
Diaw's lawsuit also claimed that he 'inflicted severe and lasting injuries' from the attack, including 'lacerations on his head and torn ligaments in his leg,' and that he suffered 'serious and permanent emotional distress and trauma' following the attack.
'He hit me over the head two or three times. My knee collapsed as well,' Diaw told the Sun, adding that he was hospitalized after the attack.
Following the Feb. 2023 incident, it wasn't known whether Brown was also facing a criminal investigation over the attack. However, when informed that Brown had landed in Manchester this week, he was apprehended on charges related to the attack.
Brown is scheduled to begin a 20th anniversary tour next month that includes over 10 gigs in the U.K; it's not yet known if his arrest will impact those dates.

Ariana Grande Gets Calmly Abducted by a UFO in ‘Supernatural' Video
Ariana Grande is keeping the Eternal Sunshine era alive. On Monday, she dropped a new video for 'Supernatural,' repurposing a sci-fi scene from her Brighter Days Ahead short film for the visual. The Christian Breslauer and Ariana Grande-directed video sees Grande, dressed in a silk cream dress, walking through the debris of a city on fire. The pop star sings the lyrics as she looks at the aftermath of a disaster. 'It's takin' over me, don't wanna fight the fall/It's like supernatural.' Toward the end of the video, Grande walks toward a UFO-like beaming light. As she approaches it, Grande begins to levitate. 'Supernatural' is the fourth single off of Eternal Sunshine, which received a deluxe edition (and the accompanying short film) in March. 'Letting go is harder work than it seems, even when Grande's turning her pain into music,' read a Rolling Stone review of the deluxe album and film. 'But that's what makes these songs — like the rest of Eternal Sunshine — reach so deep.' Grande led the album with 'Yes, And?' in January 2024 and 'We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)' in March of that year. Following the LP's release, she dropped a video starring Penn Badgley for 'The Boy Is Mine' in June last year. In mid-April, the singer released a behind-the-scenes video of Brighter Days Ahead, her short film inspired by the 2004 indie classic Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. 'When we are young, sometimes we want to erase certain things or rewrite certain things that seem painful to us in the moment, but when we grow older, we would do anything to relive those moments,' Grande said in the clip. Ariana Grande to Marry Into the Fockers After Landing ‘Meet the Parents 4' Role
Ariana Grande will head from land of Oz to the marital chaos of the Fockers as the singer has landed a role in the upcoming Meet the Parents sequel. The Wicked star will appear on the big screen alongside the franchise's stars Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro, with actresses Blythe Danner and Teri Polo also expected to reprise their roles for Meet the Parents 4. More from Rolling Stone Ariana Grande Gets Calmly Abducted by a UFO in 'Supernatural' Video Cynthia Erivo to Star in One-Woman London Production of 'Dracula' Chappell Roan, Ariana Grande, and Ice Spice Will Guest Judge Historic 'Drag Race All Stars' 10 Grande will reportedly play the fiancée of Stiller and Polo's son, 'a ball-busting woman who seems all wrong for him,' the Hollywood Reporter writes. Grande isn't the first singer to join the Focker flock: Barbra Streisand notably portrayed Stiller's hippie mother Roz (alongside Dustin Hoffman's dad Bernie) in the second and third films; while Grande and Streisand sang together on the latter's recent duets album, it's unclear if they'll reunite for Meet the Parents 4, as Streisand wasn't among the cast members revealed Friday. Universal Pictures scheduled the sequel for Thanksgiving 2026, with John Hamburg — who penned the first three movies, 2000's Meet the Parents, 2004's Meet the Fockers, and 2010's Little Fockers — on board as writer and now director for the fourth installment. Following Grande's Oscar-nominated turn in Wicked — the second part Wicked: For Good arrives this November — the Hollywood Reporter says that the singer was intent on finding a comedy project, turning down a number of scripts before landing the Meet the Parents role. In November 2024, Grande cautioned fans that acting, and not singing, would be her focus for the next decade. 'I'm going to say something so scary, it's going to scare the absolute shit out of my fans and everyone,' Grande warned. 'I love them, and they will deal, and we will be here forever. I'm always going to make music. I'm always going to go on stage. I'm always going to do pop stuff, I pinky promise, but I don't think doing it at the rate that I've been doing for the past 10 years is where I see the next 10 years.' She continued, 'I think I love acting; I love musical theater. Reconnecting with this part of myself…I love comedy, and it heals me to do that — finding roles to use these parts of myself.' However, despite her acting declaration, Grande still treated fans with a deluxe edition of her latest album, Eternal Sunshine. ‘Wicked: For Good' Trailer Sees Glinda and Elphaba's Friendship Tested
Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo prepare for the ultimate frenemy confrontation in the new trailer for Wicked: For Good, set to hit theaters Nov. 21. The clip opens with Glinda and Elphaba meeting on a balcony. 'There's no going back,' Elphaba says. 'This is between the Wizard and I.' Elsewhere, there's a snippet of Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey), who appears to be head of the guard in charge with finding Elphaba, and another glimpse of Fiyero and Glinda about to be wed — no doubt complicating matters between him and Glinda. 'You're the only friend I ever had,' Elphaba tells Glinda, who responds Elphaba was 'the one that mattered.' Wicked: For Good will pick up immediately after the events of the last year's blockbuster smash, which concluded with Erivo's rendition of 'Defying Gravity.' The song accompanies Elphaba's decision to rebuff Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) and the Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum) after learning they're behind the oppression of animals in Oz, and that they want to use her magical skills for their own gain. This decision also puts Elphaba at odds with Grande's Glinda, with For Good following the two as they become the characters known in The Wizard of Oz: The Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. While 'Defying Gravity' is arguably the signature song from the original Wicked musical, For Good will feature plenty of Act Two show-stoppers, including the Elphaba and Glinda duet that gives the sequel its name. Other famous songs include Elphaba's 'No Good Deed' and Elphaba and Fiyero's duet 'As Long as You're Mine.' For Good will also feature two new songs for Glinda and Elphaba, with Grande and Erivo both working alongside the musical's original composer Stephen Schwartz. In an interview with Variety last year, Erivo called her tune 'so special to me,' adding, 'When we filmed it, the entire crew was in tears. I hope audiences are ready — it's a song that speaks to the heart of who Elphaba is.' And in an interview earlier this year, Grande said Glinda's new song coincides with a 'pivotal moment' in her journey. 'It shows a side of her we've never seen before. In the stage show, this transformation happens offstage. But in the movie, we get to see her make the decision that defines who she is. It's a privilege to sing this song and be the first Glinda to bring it to life.'
