Offset Reportedly Seeking Spousal Support From Cardi B Amid Divorce

Yahoo2 days ago

Cardi B and Offset's separation has unfolded over the last year with the world watching, and the terms of their ongoing divorce now have another added layer. The former Migos member is reportedly seeking financial assistance from his ex-wife as they navigate their tangled lives as a formerly married duo.
On May 29, TMZ reported the Atlanta rapper 'filed an amended divorce response earlier this month in which he's now asking that Cardi pay him spousal support.' The outlet noted he did not request a specific amount in the documents and he is still asking for joint custody of their children. He agrees Cardi's house should serve as the primary residence for the kids.
The Bronx rapstress filed for divorce in August 2024 after seven years of marriage, and the two have been trading shots back and forth on social media since. That same summer, she also gave birth to her third child with 'Set. They share three kids in total, including their eldest daughter, Kulture, and son, Wave.
Last month, Offset attempted to fan the flames of the public turmoil their relationship drama has caused on the web. He posted on X: 'Keep my name out sh*t please thank you tired of this circus I want out. Let ppl live they life… I want peace no smoke I love all bardi gang we grown man she happy let her live she don't want to see this sh*t either man life goes on we can all be friends man.'
As far as what the 'Ric Flair Drip' rapper is up to on the music front, he confirmed on May 28 that his next project is officially submitted and ready to go.
Cardi B has been teasing fans about her sophomore album for several years, as her Grammy-winning debut project, Invasion Of Privacy, came out in 2018. After promising fans that 2024 would be the year, the body of work wound up not coming out, but she did clarify to her supporters the reason for the hold-up.
'I really need these f**king features,' she explained without placing the blame on anyone specifically. 'And it's like I'm not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down. But it's like come on now! I need that! I need that right now! Helloooo! Y'all don't want to miss this opportunity. I'll sing this s**t myself! But I really need y'all and I need y'all to hurry up and I love y'all. I feel like nobody would want to miss being on this album.'More from VIBE.com

DDG Files Motion To Block Halle Bailey From Taking Their Son Abroad

DDG and Halle Bailey's relationship has been experiencing some intense hurdles over the last year, with their disagreements often involving their son, Halo. The Pontiac, Mich., rapper filed a motion on Wednesday morning (June 4) in an attempt to keep his one-year-old in the United States against the plans of his child's mother. Per TMZ, DDG filed an emergency motion to stop Halle from taking their infant son out of the country. The 6x nominated songstress reportedly had plans to travel with Halo to Italy on Saturday (June 7) for work, and her ex-boyfriend requested an emergency hearing because he 'worries about what she might do if she leaves the court's jurisdiction,' according to the outlet. He is claiming Halle poses an 'imminent emotional and psychological risk' to the child. DDG also cited multiple alleged events that support would his claims. In the motion, he said when Halle was pregnant, she allegedly took his gun and left the house without telling him where she was going. He eventually found her outside holding the weapon, and it remained unused by her. DDG also claims the Little Mermaid actress tried to have an abortion behind his back, but did not go through with it. The rapper added Halley once sent 'a series of alarming text messages threatening to kill herself and suggesting that their infant son, Halo, might also be harmed.' Allegations of negative behavior have come from both sides of the former relationship. The Chloe x Halle member was granted a temporary restraining order against DDG last month after accusing him of physical abuse. In an incident with photos included in her complaint, she alleged DDG once slammed her face on a steering wheel, chipping her tooth, while he came to pick up Halo. She addressed her Italy travel plans in her complaint, which was approved on May 15. 'I have family and a nanny who will be traveling with me to care for Halo while I am working,' Halle wrote in the court documents. Taylor Swift ‘working to trust' Blake Lively after Justin Baldoni subpoena

NEW YORK — Sources are shedding light on the state of Taylor Swift's fractured decade-long friendship with Blake Lively after the pop star was dragged into the actress' messy legal battle with Justin Baldoni. Swift was subpoenaed in May to serve as a witness in the case, with Baldoni's legal team saying she potentially had information regarding the behind-the-scenes drama on 'It Ends With Us.' Despite the subpoena being dropped weeks later, an insider told People that the Grammy winner, 35, is still 'working to trust Blake again' and that it's 'going to take some time.' Lively filed a lawsuit in late December accusing her 'It Ends With Us' director and co-star of sexual harassment while working on the film and a subsequent smear campaign. Baldoni in January filed a $400 million defamation countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and publicist Leslie Sloane, also accusing them of civil extortion. Months later, Baldoni's lawyers subpoenaed Swift, specifically citing her presence at a heated meeting over rewrites to the script and texts that Lively sent in which she allegedly referred to her friend as one of her 'dragons.' People's source said that Lively and Swift — the godmother to Lively's children — 'haven't been spending as much time together as they did in the past,' prior to the lawsuit, though the longtime besties are trying to get 'on good terms.' In the days after the subpoena was initially filed, an insider told Us Weekly that Swift and Lively had spoken but the relationship was 'strained.' The outlet subsequently reported that Swift had 'begun to distance herself' and that mutual friend Gigi Hadid had 'naturally done the same' amid the legal and publicity warfare.

Jessie J diagnosed with early breast cancer, says she'll undergo surgery

Jessie J was diagnosed with "early breast cancer," the U.K. pop singer said on social media on Wednesday. The 37-year-old artist, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, said she was diagnosed with breast cancer before her latest single "No Secrets" was released in April. She said she will undergo surgery following her performance at Summertime Ball on June 15, an annual music festival in London. "Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding onto the word 'early'," she told her nearly 14 million followers on Instagram in a video. Jessie J said she's sharing her diagnosis partly because she's "not processing it," since she has been consumed with work. "Sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories," the singer said. The video was met with a flurry of supportive comments, including from fellow British pop stars Rita Ora and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. "Your literally my favourite person and I'm praying for you you've got this. my mother had it and I know the surgery and any treatment on this matter is mentally tough so I'm here for you. X," Ora wrote. The Grammy-nominated signer is known for her powerful and unique vocal. Her greatest hits include "Price Tag," "Masterpiece," Do It Like a Dude," "Domino" and "Bang Bang," the 2014 collaboration with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. Prior to "No Secrets," she had not release any new music since 2018. Breast cancer is characterized by five major stages, from Stage 0 to Stage 4. While the singer didn't disclose further details about her diagnosis, an early stage of breast cancer is "highly treatable and survivable," according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
