Shilpa Shetty Gushes Over Raj Kundra's Punjabi Film Debut In Mehar: ‘Been My Hero For Many Years'
After making his acting debut in the 2023 film 'UT69', businessman-actor Raj Kundra is all set for his Punjabi film debut with 'Mehar' opposite Geeta Basra. The trailer of the film was unveiled by the makers today. Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty loved the trailer, and she took to her social media to publicly praise her hubby Raj Kundra. She called him the 'new hero in town', but added that he has been her hero in real life for many years now. She also congratulated the entire team of Mehar, and expressed her excitement to watch the film.
On Wednesday, Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram to share the trailer of Mehar, and penned a lovely encouraging message for her hubby Raj Kundra. 'Wohooo!! Punjabi films have got a new HERO in town, but he's been MY HERO for many years. Welcome to the movies @onlyrajkundra. Raj Kundra plays the role of a Sikh man, Karamjeet Singh, in the upcoming Punjabi film Mehar. The film also stars Geeta Basra. Directed by filmmaker Rakesh Mehta, the film also features a stellar cast including Master Agamveer Singh, Deep Mandeep, Ashish Duggal, Baninder Bunny, Savita Bhatti, Rupinder Rupi, Hobby Dhaliwal, Tarsem Paul and Kulvir Sony.
Meanwhile, ahead of the trailer release of Mehar, Raj Kundra visited Golden Temple in Amritsar to seek blessings. Pictures of his visit to the Golden Temple with Geeta Basra, producer Divvya Bhatnagar, Harbhajan Singh and Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja, went viral on Instagram. Sharing the photos, Raj wrote, 'Mehar di shuruaat Sri Darbar Sahib ton… Waheguru di kirpa bina ik kdam vi sambhav nahi. Team Mehar di pehli ardaas Waheguru Mehar Kare."
