Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the National War Memorial to the nation on February 25, 2019. Located at the iconic Central Vista 'C' Hexagon, India Gate, New Delhi, the memorial was established to inculcate a sense of patriotism, high moral values, sacrifice, national spirit, and belongingness among all citizens, while serving as a tribute to brave soldiers who died for the country.
Through these stories and their inclusion into the curriculum, students would not only gain insights into India's military history, but also absorb important life lessons on resilience, empathy, emotional intelligence, and the importance of contributing to nation-building, the MoD said.

Centenarian Fr Aloysius D'Souza passes away
Mangaluru: Fr Aloysius D'Souza, a senior priest of the Diocese of Mangalore, passed away at St Zuze Vas Home in Jeppu on Thursday. He was 100 years and seven months old. His funeral mass and burial rites will be held at St Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia, on Friday. Fr D'Souza was a priest for 72 years, being ordained on 24 Aug, 1953. He celebrated his centennial birthday on Jan 29, becoming the first priest in the Diocese of Mangalore to reach the age of 100.
