Minimum qualifying marks for A.P. Mega DSC exam revised

The Andhra Pradesh government has issued a fresh order, making certain amendments to the earlier ones released on April 19 regarding the conduct of the Mega DSC (District Selection Committee) recruitment examination.
In a statement, Director of School Education, V. Vijay Rama Raju, said as per the amendment, the minimum qualifying marks for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes and Persons with Disabilities in language and non-language subjects under the School Assistant category have been revised from 45% to 40%, in line with the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) eligibility criteria.
These revised qualifying marks will also apply to the candidates under the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) category for both language and non-language subjects.
Uploading certificates optional
The process of uploading certificates during submission of applications has now been made optional, providing flexibility to the candidates, he said.
However, the candidates must compulsorily possess the required educational qualifications. The orders state that original certificates must be submitted by the candidates during the certificate verification process, he added.

The Department of School Education has received more than 5 lakh applications for the DSC-2025 examination that began today and will end on June 30, 2025. Convenor of the Mega DSC-2025, M. Venkata Krishna Reddy, said: '16,347 teacher posts will be filled in government, local bodies, and schools run by welfare societies across the State through this recruitment drive. As many as 3,36,305 candidates have submitted 5,77,675 applications for various teaching positions, including school assistants (SA), secondary grade teachers (SGTs), school assistants (Physical Education), physical education teachers (PETs), principals, postgraduate teachers (PGTs), and trained graduate teachers (TGTs). The Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be conducted across 137 test centres in the state and 17 centres outside the state, including Hyderabad, Kodad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Berhampur. To ensure transparency, the exams will be monitored through live CCTV surveillance, and candidates will undergo biometric verification. Section 144 of CrPC will be enforced around the exam venues to maintain law and order and prevent any possible malpractice. Admit cards released for June 2025 TET exams by HPBOSE HPBOSE June 2025 TET schedule: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala, has released the admit cards and examination timetable for the June 2025 session of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). According to the schedule, the exams for JBT and TGT (Sanskrit) will take place on Saturday, June 7, while TGT (Non-Medical) and TGT (Hindi) will be conducted on Sunday, June 8. 87.8% of Mega DSC aspirants get first choice exam centre in Andhra

VIJAYAWADA: The Department of School Education has issued key clarifications regarding the Mega DSC-2025 teacher recruitment examination, meant to fill 16,347 vacant posts across the State. A total of 5,77,675 applications have been received for various categories of posts, including 6,614 SGTs, 177 PETs, 7,487 School Assistants, 1,731 TGTs, 286 PGTs, and 52 Principals. According to officials, 87.8% of candidates have been allotted their first-choice district for examination, while the remaining have been placed in subsequent preferences based on seating availability. In a release, Mega DSC-2025 Convenor M Venkata Krishna Reddy said, 'The examination centres have been allotted with utmost care to ensure maximum convenience. Candidates who applied for multiple posts have mostly been allotted centres within the same district. Only a small percentage have to be shifted to other preference districts due to logistics constraints.'
