Jon Rahm details Caleb Surratt's first LIV Golf podium finish
He finished in third place (-13), four strokes behind winner Joaquin Niemann (-17). Bubba Watson finished in second place (-14).
Surratt is also part of Legion XIII. He is teammates with Jon Rahm (captain), Tyrrell Hatton and Tom McKibbin. Legion XIII won the LIV Golf UK 2025 team competition (-35) after trailing Torque GC by three stokes entering Sunday's final round. Torque GC (-27) finished in second place and eight strokes behind Legion XIII.
Surratt appeared in 15 tournaments at Tennessee from 2022-23. He earned 2023 SEC Freshman of the Year honors and was the 2023 SEC individual champion. The former Vol is in his second season as a professional in LIV Golf.

Rahm discussed Surratt's performance at LIV Golf UK and why he picked him from the Vols for Legion XIII.
'I said last week, I was looking forward to Caleb hopefully having a good tournament and not needing to birdie something like the last four holes for us to win, so it's great to look at the scoreboard and see just that,' Rahm said of Surratt on LIV Golf's broadcast on FS1. 'He is a phenomenal talent, phenomenal player. It's the first podium in his career and first top 10, he should be proud of that.
'He's phenomenal player. I think my goal was always to try to keep the core of the team young. We did just that, even with Kieran (Vincent) last year. Tyrrell and myself, being the older guys last year, 33 and 29, it's not like the craziest thing in the world, right, so I think that was a big part of why the team has done well. Yeah, he might have some inexperience, but he's got the world ahead of him and his whole career ahead of him, so you expect it from someone like him to have a couple of rough weeks, but he's playing really good golf and hopefully this is the confidence booster he needs to take it to another level.'

These LIV Golf players are in danger of being relegated with 2 events left
Only three events are left in the LIV Golf League's third full season, and there are a couple notable names in danger of being relegated. There are three zones in the LIV Golf standings: Lock Zone, Open Zone and Relegation. The top 24 in the season-long standings will secure spots for next year, with final standings determined after LIV Golf Indianapolis. Those finishing Nos. 25-48 are in the Open Zone, which means these players can stay in the league, but their current team doesn't have to re-sign them if they have an expiring contract. Players finishing 49th or lower in the points standings after Indianapolis will be relegated from the league and can return only by playing their way back. They can do so by winning the International Series or through LIV Golf Promotions. In 2023, LIV Golf had 48 players compete in each tournament, with players avoiding relegation by finishing 44th or higher. The 44th player that season was Laurie Canter with 12 points. In 2024, LIV added one team and two other wld card spots for 54 players per event. All players finishing 48th or higher were safe from relegation. Pat Perez finished at 48th with 7.76 total points. Georgia recruiting target Nascar McCoy announces commitment
The Georgia Bulldogs have had success recruiting defensive backs, but they lost out on a four-star on Saturday. Four-star safety Nascar McCoy committed to the Ole Miss Rebels. McCoy chose Ole Miss over Georgia, Miami, Texas A&M, and Michigan. McCoy is a four-star safety from the class of 2026, according to ESPN. He stands at 6-foot-2, weighs 180 pounds, and plays football for Buford High School in Buford, Georgia, similar to Georgia safety KJ Bolden. McCoy marks Ole Miss' third defensive back commit from July, joining Iverson McCoy, a three-star cornerback, and Craig Tutt, a four-star safety. Overall, Ole Miss has the No. 19 recruiting class in the nation and No. 9 in the SEC. However, the Rebels' recruiting class lags far behind the Georgia Bulldogs, especially in the secondary. Georgia's class is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation and the SEC. In the secondary, Georgia currently has seven commits; four-stars Justice Fitzpatrick, Caden Harris (who flipped from Vanderbilt), Chace Calicut, Zech Fort, and Jordan Smith, along with three-stars Kealan Jones and Tyriq Green. Overall, secondary coach Donte Williams is ranked as the No. 1 recruiter in the 247Sports database. Georgia misses out on McCoy, who is the No. 37 safety in the nation and the No. 49 prospect from Georgia.
