Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ review

GSM Arena13 hours ago
Infinix continues to push its affordable Hot series forward with the latest addition - the Hot 60 Pro+. Designed to appeal to budget-conscious buyers without compromising on style or essentials, the new model refines the formula laid out by its predecessors while maintaining the spirit of the lineup - accessible smartphones that look and feel more premium than their price tag suggests.
The Hot series has long been Infinix's answer to entry-level smartphone needs, and the Hot 60 Pro+ carries that mission confidently. Priced at $199, it sits comfortably in the lower end of the market, yet its presentation and spec sheet tell a more ambitious story. The phone is impressively thin and lightweight for its class, and the selection of vibrant colorways - some even with a shimmering finish - ensures it won't go unnoticed. Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ specs at a glance: Body: 164.0x75.8x6.0mm, 155g; Glass front (Gorilla Glass 7i), plastic back, plastic frame; IP65 dust tight and water resistant (low pressure water jets), Drop resistant up to 1.5m.

The Hot 60 Pro+ shares much of its hardware DNA with the Tecno Spark 40 Pro+, which is hardly surprising given that both Infinix and Tecno fall under the Transsion Holdings umbrella. This kind of cross-brand overlap is not unusual and often helps deliver solid value at a low price point.
Let's take a closer look at what the Hot 60 Pro+ brings to the table. Unboxing
The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ comes in a thick cardboard two-piece box. It is colored in two shades of green and tends to stand out on a shelf. The packaging appears to be entirely made of cardboard, which is eco-friendly. Even so, there is a cradle for the actual phone on the inside, keeping it safe in transit.
Infinix doesn't skimp when it comes to the accessory package. You get a 45W Infinix-branded USB Type-A fast charger in the box and a nice thick USB Type-A to Type-C cable to go along with it. The cable appears to be standard and not proprietary with extra pins, which is a nice little bonus since you don't necessarily have to worry about keeping it safe.
Beyond that, there is also a transparent hard snap-on shell-style case in the box and a tempered glass screen protector, plus all of the accessories needed to properly install it on the phone.

The manufacturing process shall start as early as this fall in Nevada.I'm not mentioning Trump here for no reason. The current White House administration has been pushing for domestic manufacturing, which got Apple to promise to spend billions and billions of dollars in the US , as we told you the other Chief executive Joe Weil, who previously worked at Apple, said the move is aimed at keeping the privacy-focused handset's price under $1,000 even with higher labor current model, built in Indonesia, sells for $989. Because of the wage difference between Indonesia and the USA, it's going to be one hell of a challenge keeping it at similar will start with US-based assembly and gradually work toward sourcing more components domestically. The company chose a former refurbishing firm that has expanded into assembly work, but Weil declined to identify the partner or disclose production numbers, investor names, or funding smartphones in the US remains rare because most of the supply chain is in Asia and labor costs are significantly higher in America. However, the White House has been pressuring technology companies, including Apple, to increase US production through tariffs and other hopes to control costs by producing steady, smaller batches instead of releasing a new model every year. The latest UP Phone, available for preorder and set to ship in late September, comes with one year of Unplugged's privacy suite – featuring tracker blocking, a VPN, and encrypted photo storage – before switching to a $12.99 monthly subscription. The updated model uses the same hardware as the 2024 version but adds a new interface, firewall dashboard, and improved camera UP Phone is built with privacy as its core focus, its creators underscore. Its firewall blocks connections to more than 225,000 known data-harvesting servers, while its custom UnpluggedOS (based on the Android Open Source Project) removes all Google services and their associated surveillance systems, yet still supports most Android-compatible apps.A no-logs VPN hides the user's IP address from websites and apps, and system-level sensor controls let users block microphone, camera, Bluetooth, and other hardware access. Poco M7 Plus introduced with 7,000 mAh battery

Poco has launched a new budget smartphone in India called Poco M7 Plus 5G. It is the latest M series phone and succeeds the M6 Plus, which debuted in August 2024. The Poco M7 Plus houses a massive 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 33W charging and 18W reverse charging. In line with the recent trend of brands touting the "slimmest" phones in specific categories, Poco claims the M7 Plus is the thinnest handset with a 7,000 mAh battery, measuring just 8.4mm. Poco's new M series phone features a 6.9-inch Full HD+ LCD that refreshes at 144Hz. It has 550 nits of peak brightness, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The display features a punch-hole cutout for the 8 MP front camera. The M7 Plus is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage. Thankfully, the phone gets a microSD slot for storage expansion up to 2TB. It has a dual rear camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor and an unknown secondary unit. You do get a couple of AI features such as AI Dynamic Shot, AI Eraser, and AI Sky replacement. The phone runs Android 15-based Hyper OS and is promised to receive two years of OS updates with four years of security patches. Poco is also offering Google Gemini on the device. The Poco M7 Plus 5G offers an IP64 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and weighs 217g. If you love foldables, this might be the one to watch for – we know when it's coming, but will you be able to get it?

Earlier this week, we mentioned that Honor is gearing up to reveal its next flip-style foldable phone, ready to go head-to-head with Samsung's latest Galaxy Z Flip 7 – at least in the world's biggest smartphone market. Well, now the company has made things official, sharing both the launch date and a sneak peek at the design and colors. The Honor Magic V Flip 2 is set to debut on August 21. Alongside the launch date, Honor gave us our first real look at the device. And at first glance, it looks a lot like the original Magic V Flip, but there are some noteworthy upgrades. The first thing that jumps out is the dual cameras on the cover screen. The original Magic V Flip had one large sensor and one smaller one, stacked vertically. The new model levels the playing field with two equally sized sensors. This new setup frees up more room for the external screen, which leaks suggest will measure over 4 inches. As for colors, the phone will come in four options, including a special edition designed by Jimmy Choo – yep, the same designer whose shoes are a dream for many around the world. Clearly, Honor is aiming at fashion lovers who want a phone that doubles as a style statement. The upcoming foldable will be available in these colors. | Image credit – Honor Other than the design and launch date, Honor hasn't spilled many details yet. Luckily, leaks give us a peek at what to expect: a 5,500 mAh battery with 80W wired charging. If that's accurate, the Magic V Flip 2 would handily beat the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in battery capacity, which only packs 4,300 mAh. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Review: The Flip in its prime Performance-wise, don't expect Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite in the Honor flip; leaks point to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 instead. Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 7 runs on the Exynos 2500, which isn't exactly flagship-level either, so the two could end up pretty evenly matched. But we'll know for sure once the Magic V Flip 2 is out in the wild. One area where Samsung might still have the upper hand? Availability. The original Magic V Flip never launched internationally, so we'll have to wait and see whether Honor is ready to take on Samsung globally or if the new flip will stay mostly a China-only affair, too.
