Amorim unhappy that 'clear' foul went unpunished for Arsenal's winning goal against Man United
United goalkeeper Altay Bayındır was put off by Arsenal defender William Saliba as an inswinging corner was delivered by Declan Rice in the 13th minute. As Saliba backed into Bayındır, the goalie flapped at the ball and only managed to knock it across the line toward Riccardo Calafiori, who nodded in from close range.
That ultimately secured a 1-0 win for Arsenal and Amorim was disappointed the goal was allowed to stand.
'I think it's clear,' Amorim said. 'Players are touching the goalkeeper without the idea of going for the ball. That is not allowed.'
The Portuguese coach added: 'It's protecting the attacking guy and saying that we want (more) goals. But when you are touching the goalkeeper in that way, I think it's hard.'
United captain Bruno Fernandes said that in a meeting arranged ahead of the season, the Premier League said referees will call for more fouls if players are blocking opponents at set pieces and not looking at the ball.
'But we know they are just saying that,' Fernandes said.
'Altay was saying the moment he goes to punch the ball, he gets a touch. But obviously we know in the Premier League, they don't give much in those type of situations.'

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — A man arrested on suspicion of racially abusing Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo during a Premier League game has been released on conditional bail, police said Monday. Merseyside Police said the 47-year-man from Liverpool cannot attend a soccer match in Britain or go within one mile (1.6 kilometers) of a soccer stadium in Britain while on bail. The man was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offense after Semenyo, who is Black, reported to the referee that he was racially abused by a spectator in the first half of Bournemouth's match against Liverpool at Anfield on Friday. The man was removed from the stadium soon after the alleged incident, which led to a brief stoppage in play. An investigation 'remains ongoing and we continue to work closely with the club,' Merseyside Police said. On Saturday, Semenyo, a 25-year-old Ghana international, thanked his Bournemouth teammates, Liverpool's players and the soccer community as a whole for the 'overwhelming messages of support' he received after reporting that he was racially abused.

Across the snapshot of a single match, the presence of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha gave them more zip and threat. I reckon they've spent well on those two. But their goalkeeping issues are a real blind spot, and it will be baffling if they don't address them before the transfer window shuts. Andre Onana's absence from United's line-up was tactical. He had recovered from a hamstring injury but Ruben Amorim chose not to start him. The United head coach went instead with Altay Bayindir, who, whatever his strengths, is nobody's idea of a world-class 'keeper. Bayindir's weak hand at a corner let Riccardo Calafiori score the only goal and it's a headache keeping Amorim up at night. Onana is a busted flush. Bayindir isn't a long-term solution. His strike was clean but replays picked up on Marc Guehi disrupting Chelsea's wall and creating space for Eze to score by shoving his body into one section of it, below. The rules state that attacking players must remain at least one metre away from the wall when a free kick is hit, which Guehi didn't. I won't be alone in thinking, however, that the application of this law isn't especially consistent. Romano: AC Milan want 'useful player' from Chelsea – but £50m+ price tag makes move hard
Who's going to buy Nicolas Jackson? Milan move impossible, some Premier League sides ready in theory Chelsea are waiting for bids for Nicolas Jackson says Fabrizio Romano. The AC Milan situation seems like a non-starter. Chelsea wouldn't sell him for less than £50m at a bare minimum as far as we can see. And there's no way that Milan are ready to spend that on a player. The Premier League options are interesting – but even then, can a deal get done? Aston Villa would love him. And maybe they could spent £50-60m on him. But even then, that would be dependent on them selling Ollie Watkins for a similar price, and that doesn't look likely right now. Manchester United's interest was serious, and they could afford him, but they'll have to move on Rasmus Hojlund first, and that won't be easy. Newcastle are in a tangle with Alexander Isak, and right now he looks more likely to stay than go. That means no move to Tyneside for Jackson as things stand. Jackson's future in the balance with 2 weeks of window left There is a lot of interest in Jackson. He wants to go. Chelsea are willing to sell him. All that is in place. But unless the money is right it just can't happen. Teams can get desperate as the window comes to an end – it's amazing what a few early season defeats can do – but right now we're not seeing a clear angle for the Senegal star to go anywhere. The forward Harry Redknapp once called a 'useful player' could end up being more useful for Chelsea than anyone else at this rate.
