Gregg Wallace says he is 'hurt' and won't ever work in TV again
Gregg Wallace has admitted his television career is finished after the BBC confirmed it had no plans to work with him again, following the outcome of a lengthy investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour.
The 60-year-old, best known as a judge on MasterChef , Celebrity MasterChef, and MasterChef: The Professionals, was suspended from his BBC roles last year.
Earlier this month, the broadcaster said it had upheld 45 of the 83 complaints against Wallace, dating from 2005 to 2024, Mirror reports.
Although the final season of MasterChef, already filmed before allegations emerged, will still be broadcast, the BBC stated Wallace will not be returning.
His long-time co-host, John Torode, has also been dropped after a separate investigation concluded he had previously used racist language.
In an emotional interview with The Sun, Wallace accepted that his time on screen was over and revealed his growing concern for his financial future, especially with a young family to support.
'I'm hurt. I don't want anything to do with telly. I don't want anything to do with the BBC,' Wallace said. 'Being on MasterChef was brilliant but I had so many bad experiences on that show too.'
He expressed frustration at the complaints process, claiming it was flawed. 'The whole complaints procedure needs to be readdressed, there are huge problems with it as things stand,' he said.
Wallace also alleged he had experienced inappropriate behaviour from others, recounting instances where he was groped by women while taking selfies and received sexual comments from female contestants.
'I'd have had the decency to speak to that person directly. Privately, not publicly,' he said, suggesting he would have handled grievances differently.
Among the allegations, Wallace was accused of exposing himself on set. In response, he acknowledged changing his clothes in shared spaces but denied any inappropriate intent. He did admit to using sexualised or inappropriate language in the past, attributing some of his behaviour to his upbringing.
'I have learnt a lot about myself over the past eight months or so... I understand now and to anyone I have hurt, I am so sorry,' he said. 'I don't expect anyone to have any sympathy with me but I don't think I am a wrong 'un.'

Earlier this month, Wallace issued a public apology following the BBC investigation's findings. In a statement released via PA, he said he was 'deeply sorry for any distress' caused and insisted he 'never set out to harm or humiliate' anyone.
He has also defended his former co-presenter John Torode, who is facing separate scrutiny for past racist remarks, stating that he did not believe Torode's actions warranted his removal from the show.
The allegations against Wallace prompted an independent investigation led by a law firm on behalf of MasterChef production company Banijay.
Following the scandal, Downing Street weighed in, with the Prime Minister's official spokesman stating: 'We're clear that appropriate steps must be taken to ensure abuses of power are prevented from happening in the future.'

Local resident Emma Crichton told the BBC: "Earlier this month there was a flatbed truck with a fresh water supply on it for three generations of campers who were there for 10 days with a generator with loud music. "I have people wandering into my garden asking if they can park there, people coming in and asking if they can use my loo. We have people having raves, it's like a music festival. I'm not a shrinking violet. I like a drink and I like loud music, but it's intolerable and I don't feel safe." Rangers have increased patrols in the area, collecting discarded items such as soiled nappies and a hypodermic needle. The locale typically teems with visitors between October or whenever the sun makes an appearance. Ms Crichton criticised the council and police response, stating: "Some of the rangers have been doing the job since before I got there so they know the area well and they're very invested in it. Every time I make a complaint, I'm told there's no law being broken. I cannot accept that." Negative feedback has also appeared on the Loch Clunie Facebook page, including a recent post from a man who visited the loch with his 10 year old daughter. He penned: "It was like Skid Row. Drunks everywhere - one or two being quite aggressive. Rubbish everywhere. Maybe half a dozen cars abandoned with parking tickets on them. Stayed for five minutes and left." Strathtay Councillor Ian James described the situation as an "absolute nightmare" for local residents. He commented that they were "putting up with loud music and drunken behaviour. Although it's a beautiful area, it's just not a nice place to be when it's like that." He alleged that a friend of his had been stabbed after requesting people not to camp in his garden. He added: "If this was Perth city centre, we'd have the police turning up and everybody would be trying their best to stop it, but this is in the countryside so it's unseen by most." A spokesperson for Perth and Kinross Council has stated that the local authority is keen for both visitors and residents to enjoy areas such as Loch of Clunie in a "safe, responsible and courteous manner". The spokesperson further added: "Parking attendants patrol the clearways, issuing guidance and penalty notices as appropriate. "We fully recognise the community's ongoing concerns about repeated incidents of irresponsible camping near residential properties. Given the understandable feelings of vulnerability and anxiety this has caused, we have advised residents not to engage directly with visitors and to report any threatening behaviour to Police Scotland." A representative from Police Scotland said: "We understand the impact anti-social behaviour and disorder has on the local community, and we would like to thank locals who continue to bring these incidents to our attention. Officers continue to work with local partners to address any concerns in the area, and where criminality is established, those responsible will be dealt with appropriately."

The Wanted star Tom Parker's widow sadly announced her third child was born stillborn last month. She shares her child with her partner Will Lindsay, and broke the devastating news on social media as she revealed they had a little boy named Phoenix. Since then, Kelsey has taken time away from social media and a break away from her day-to-day life. Marking her return to Instagram, Kelsey shared a family photo with Will and her two children with Tom, Aurelia, six, and Bodhi, four. They soaked up the sun in a hot location as they looked out at a stunning view together. The podcaster chose not to share where they have decided to take a break to, but said: "Exactly what we needed. Thank you @jet2 for making it so easy. X." Just last month, Kelsey shared the heartbreaking news of her son on her account. Her devastating tribute to her son included one simple heartbreaking caption: 'Phoenix Parker-Lindsay, you will forever be loved." She added a moving poem, entitled For Phoenix, Born Sleeping, Forever Loved. The poem read: 'The world grew quiet as you arrived, So loved, so longed for, yet not alive. Confessing that the baby, which would have been Will's first child, was a "happy accident", Kelsey said she was gently preparing Aurelia and Bodhi for a new sibling. Will also told us: "I'm over the moon. This is something I've wanted for a long time. I couldn't be happier and I know Kelsey is going to be an amazing mum, as she already is." Gurinder told the BBC: "We've been part of changing the game for women, so it felt like this was a good time for me to go back and investigate the characters." The director said she has been asked 'almost twice a week' since the original came out to create a sequel, though no decision has been made on whether it will take the form of a film or a television series. She added: 'A lot has changed since the original movie, but I think that people still don't think that women should play football. "There are people who still don't take it seriously, although the Lionesses are riding high. I've left it a while, but I thought: 'Look at the Euros, look at the Lionesses.'" Gurinder said she hopes to reunite the original cast and suggested members of the current England squad would be 'queuing up' to appear in cameo roles. The original film, made on a £3.5 million budget, became a box office success, earning nearly £60 million worldwide. It followed Jess Bhamra (Parminder), a teenager who dreams of playing football professionally, despite pressure from her traditional Sikh family to focus on education and marriage. She is recruited by Jules (Keira), who spots her talent and brings her into the local women's team. Chadha claimed she had not expected the film to take off, but wanted to 'uplift girls who were always being told how to dress and what to say'. Keira Knightley admits she's only watched Love Actually once - and reveals real reason why She said: 'What I did was say you can do what you want, and you can have it all,' she said. 'And I think that's a really great message to put out again. I think there's still stuff to say, and stuff to challenge.' Gurinder previously told The Mirror she had been working on a sequel to iconic movie The filmmaker said in 2023: "For the longest time I never wanted to do a sequel. "But I have to say, after the World Up this year, and also with the Euro's a few years ago, my brain is ticking again and I have an idea in my head that I'm thinking through for the first time. "I'm thinking that I could definitely do something. I never wanted to follow the girls off in America, because I felt that what I had created was so magical for that moment in time. "It's very hard with sequels - there are very few sequels that I think really hit the mark after the success of the first film. "However, I do have an idea and I am starting to work on it, so I think I will definitely do something that shows how brilliant our athletes are right now." The film highlighted the challenges girls face despite women's football growing in popularity since the film was released in 2002. Gurinder was inspired to create the film after seeing a photograph of legendary England and Arsenal striker Ian Wright dressed in a union jack flag. This made her think about what Britishness actually meant and the "evolving concept of Britishness." Football is important to Britain and the sport has the power to pull many different people together. Gary Lineker, who featured in the film, reflected on it saying how "football does unify the nation, everyone gets behind England and it's probably the only time we do all come together. That's what originated the idea of Bend It Like Beckham." There are plenty of fun facts about the film besides Wright being the inspiration. The budget may have been just £3.5 million but it grossed at nearly £60 million. Chada didn't know much about football and relied on co-writers to add the football bits. It was even the first Western filmed to be screened in North Korea at a public broadcast during a film festival in the country. Actresses Nagra and Kiera did three months worth of football training for the film and didn't use any doubles. The title itself is a metaphor as Chada explained back in 2003. She said: "We can see our goal but instead of going straight there, we too have to twist and bend the rules sometimes to get what we want.
