SP Srinivasa Rao stressed the urgent need to prevent the distribution and sale of fake seeds, especially during the agricultural season. He instructed police officials to work closely with Task Force teams to conduct regular surprise inspections of seed shops and warehouses, ensuring that only certified seeds are made available to farmers. He also emphasized the importance of educating farmers to purchase seeds only from authorized dealers.
Addressing the risks posed by the early monsoon rains, the SP urged officers to monitor flood-prone areas, damaged roads, and waterlogged regions to avoid road accidents. He directed coordination with the R&B department to address identified accident hotspots and advised that police vehicles carry emergency supplies during patrols. He also highlighted the need to avoid crossing overflowing streams and culverts without precaution.
In preparation for Bakrid, the SP instructed officers to monitor the district borders through vigilant checking at checkpoints to curb illegal cattle transportation. Citizens were encouraged to report any suspicious activity through Dial 100 or their local VPOs.
Further, the SP reviewed the implementation of the HRMS system, urging all staff to process leave requests, grievances, rewards, and disciplinary actions online to streamline administration. He also instructed that all case-related CD files be uploaded to the CCTNS system, and that actions taken on grievances received via the public outreach initiative "Prajavani" be documented and reported.
In the interest of justice, the SP emphasized the importance of completing investigations of pending cases and filing charge sheets in court promptly. Officers were instructed to regularly review court proceedings, especially over weekends, to ensure victims receive justice and accused are punished appropriately.
He also called for intensified patrolling to prevent illegal activities like gambling and bootlegging. The SP directed teams to conduct mega vehicle checking drives, community contact programs, and drunk-and-drive inspections regularly. Awareness campaigns on traffic regulations and cybercrime prevention were also stressed.

MP CM Mohan Yadav flags off 1200 FRVs for new Dial 112 emergency services
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 14 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav flagged off 1200 First Response Vehicles (FRVs) for newly integrated emergency response service Dial-112 for the districts from Bhopal on Thursday, stated an official Yadav launched the vehicles from the program organised at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium in the state capital. The state government has allocated over Rs 1,500 crore for these vehicles, reaffirming that citizens' safety remains its top priority. Addressing the occasion, the CM says that the police play a vital role in maintaining social order and extended congratulations to Madhya Pradesh Police on the launch of Dial 112, calling it a new initiative to enhance police responsiveness. 'This emergency number will become a cornerstone of a society's safety & security ecosystem, serving as both a promise of swift police response and a commitment to assistance for the people of the state," he said. The new Dial 112 will replace the old Dial 100 services which have already been adopted by other states, including Uttar Pradesh. Through its vigilance and efficiency, Dial 100 has ensured the safety of 2.23 lakh elderly citizens, more than 19 lakh women, 1,300 newborns and reunited 23,000 missing children with their families — a significant achievement for the MP Police, the release added. The Chief Minister further says that efforts are underway to strengthen surveillance by integrating cameras installed at public places with other monitoring systems. The government is also attentive to the needs of police personnel working in difficult conditions. Cultural and historical gateways are being developed on main roads of towns and cities, reflecting local heritage while also aiding security and making all-weather duty easier for personnel. Technology has brought major changes to policing in the state, including the introduction of e-summons via video calls and the internet — a process in which Madhya Pradesh is a national leader, with other states following its Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana called the launch of Dial 112 a historic occasion. He recalled that on MP Foundation Day 2015, the Dial 100 service was introduced in the state, which has since assisted lakhs of citizens through 1,000 vehicles. Under CM Yadav's direction, 200 more vehicles have been added, bringing the total to 1,200 FRVs, all equipped with state-of-the-art Dial-112 service will bring together multiple emergency numbers under a single helpline. The integrated number will cover police (100), health/ambulance (108), fire services (101), women's helpline (1090), cybercrime (1930), railway assistance (139), highway accident response (1099), disaster management (1079), and women and child helplines (181, 1098). Nagpur Police Task Force soon to crush ‘D-gangs' usurping prime land with forged documents
Nagpur: The Nagpur city police are set to form a 'Task Force' with an aim to dismantle the notorious 'D-gangs' that have terrorised the city's real estate sector. The term 'D-gang', on the lines of the D-gang of international don Dawood Ibrahim, was coined to describe the land mafia that used duplicate documents and forged govt records to usurp and sell prime properties. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The gangs are taking unfair advantage of city's rapid progress towards becoming a metropolitan, with projects like Mihan-SEZ and Metro rail extension driving land prices upwards, said sources adding these 'D-gangs' have targeted vulnerable people, including farmers, senior citizens and women. According to sources, the Task Force will prioritise dismantling these networks, tracing forged documents and arresting kingpins. The Task Force is the brainchild of commissioner of police Ravinder Singal. "We have identified names of some big fish among the land mafia. A dedicated and focused team is being set up. Stringent legal actions will be taken against the syndicate," he said. As per police records, there have been over 150 land-grabbing complaints in the past year alone, with many involving violence or coercion. The Task Force is expected to be operational within weeks, with initial targets including gangs linked to big-scale encroachments in areas where new plots and layouts are coming up along Wardha Road, Godhni, Mihan, north Nagpur's few patches and so on. This is, however, not the first such initiative by the city police to take on the land mafia. During former CP K Venkatesham's tenure, a special investigation team (SIT) was formed, but it lost momentum after a couple of months despite strong actions, including a crackdown on Gwalbanshi groups. The city police's latest move is seen as a decisive step towards curbing the land mafia menace. However, experts warn that without systemic reforms, the mafia's ugly head may rise again.

Channel's ex-HR head accessed police crime database, got password from cop
Noida: A former human resources head of a private news channel and a head constable were arrested for allegedly breaching UP Police's crime tracking network and selling confidential information. The accused, Lalit Pandit of Greater Noida and head constable Prashant Solanki of Baghpat, were detained on Friday and arrested on Saturday. Police say Solanki provided Pandit with login credentials for the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) — a centralised database of case files, criminal histories, confidential FIRs and other sensitive information — which Pandit then used to monitor police activities and leak data for money. Currently, he is posted at Khair police station in Aligarh. He is suspected of sharing his CCTNS credentials with Pandit while posted at Kasna police station earlier this year. The breach came to light after Pandit allegedly posted sensitive Pocso case data on social media—an offence that prompted his detention. Police said they were now examining the duration and extent of the breach, as well as identifying the possible buyers of the leaked information. Both men have been booked under relevant provisions of the BNS and the Official Secrets Act. On Saturday, a local court remanded them in judicial custody. CCTNS is a 'mission mode project' under the national e-Governance plan of govt of India aimed at creating a comprehensive and integrated system for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of policing.
