Elite OL recruit announces commitment to Georgia football
The Georgia Bulldogs have added commitment No. 13 in the class of 2026. Georgia's latest commitment is from three-star offensive lineman Zachary Lewis.
Lewis, a member of the 2026 recruiting cycle, plays high school football for North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Georgia. The 6-foot-4, 270-pound offensive lineman projects to play as an interior offensive lineman in college. Last season, Lewis and North Gwinnett advanced to the quarterfinals of the 6A playoffs before losing to Buford.

Lewis is ranked as the No. 86 recruit in Georgia, per the 247Sports Composite. He's the No. 69 interior offensive lineman in the country and the No. 780 recruit in the nation in the 2026 recruiting class. Lewis can squat 500 pounds, but is still looking to add strength and muscle to his frame.
The North Gwinnett standout is a good student and committed to Georgia following his official visit to Athens from June 6-8. Lewis committed to Georgia over Florida and Georgia Tech. He took an official visit to Georgia Tech before he elected to commit to Georgia. He also holds recent scholarship offers from South Carolina and North Carolina.
Lewis joins fellow in-state offensive lineman Graham Houston in committing to Georgia. The Bulldogs have the No. 6 recruiting class in the country. UGA's class is the highest ranked in the SEC.

They earned five commitments over their first official visit weekend, but have been searching for No. 6 for over a week. Advertisement Zachary Taylor, a defensive back out of Jordan High School in Fulshear, Texas, could be the next commitment for Luke Fickell and the Badgers. Evan Flood, a Badgers Insider for 247Sports, logged a Crystal Ball prediction for the Badgers to land the 3-star defensive back after his visit to Madison. Flood added a confidence level of '5' to his prediction, which is considered 'medium' confidence. On 247Sports, Taylor is listed as a cornerback, but he has also played some safety and is seen as a versatile player who could play cornerback or safety at the next level. Gabe Brooks, a scouting analyst for 247Sports, wrote the following scouting report on Taylor. Requisite size for varying secondary roles with elite combine testing data and track speed. Owns some impressive downfield coverage reps that highlight turn-and-run athleticism and ability to stay sticky in the vertical passing game. Experienced in all three phases with limited offensive and return game reps. Shows encouraging tackling, conviction, and production in that category. Knows how to crowd the catch window. According to the 247Sports Composite, Taylor is a 3-star player and is the 38th-ranked cornerback and 494th-overall player in the 2026 class. He is currently slated to visit Pitt (June 12) and Houston (June 19). A Crystal Ball prediction is by no means a lock for the Badgers to get Taylor, but Flood is very well-connected and generally has a good feel for what is going to happen. Adding Taylor would give the Badgers their second defensive back of the class, joining cornerback Carsen Eloms. His commitment would provide the Wisconsin football program its 12th commitment and also boost them from the No. 38 class to No. 33 in 247Sports' national team rankings.
