Naidu misleading public due to govt failures: YSRCP
Guntur: YSRCP State coordinator and PAC Convener Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy alleged that the coalition government in the State is systematically creating 'organised terrorism'.
He addressed the media after attending questioning by police at the CID office in Guntur city on Friday along with YSRCP Vijayawada East Assembly constituency in-charge in connection with the attack on the TDP State party office in Mangalagiri on October 19, 2021.
Stating that the government, unable to implement election promises due to incompetent governance, is resorting to diversion politics to deflect public attention. He called it Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's foolishness to think he can intimidate YSRCP by filing false cases under the so-called 'Red Book Constitution'.
Regarding the allegations in the case of the attack on the TDP office, he said, he came to the CID office as a responsible citizen to cooperate with the police investigation. He said, 'At the time of the alleged attack, I was campaigning for the by-elections, which I had already clarified during a previous inquiry. Today, when asked again during the inquiry, I reiterated the same. The related evidence was already submitted to the police earlier. When asked if the incident happened as per my instructions, I said that when TDP leader Pattabhi made derogatory remarks against Jagan, who enjoys the admiration of crores of people and was the Chief Minister at the time, it caused great anguish and anger. When someone speaks in such an offensive manner, it pained me to think if this is what politics is about. However, we have never believed that counter-attacks are the solution to attacks. In public life, every word must be spoken with caution. When unforeseen incidents occur, both sides must exercise restraint.'

Bharat calls coalition govt's first year a 'Bundle of failures'
Rajamahendravaram: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) official spokesperson and former MP Margani Bharat Ram launched a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, calling the coalition government's one-year rule a 'Bundle of Failures.' Speaking at a press meet held at the party office on Saturday, Bharat released a booklet published by the YSRCP highlighting what the party claims are key governance failures of the current administration. Describing CM Naidu's recent statement asking the public to assess the government after fulfilling all 'Super Six' promises as 'deeply unfortunate,' Bharat alleged that not a single major promise has been fulfilled. He questioned the sincerity of the free sand policy, stating that while it exists in name, in reality, end-users are being left with heavy costs. He further criticised the proliferation of liquor outlets, claiming that over 60,000 belt shops are operating across the state, contradicting promises of regulation and control. Referring to the government's promise of honouring the mothers of 89 lakh students through the 'Thalliki Vandhanam' scheme, Bharat questioned how many beneficiaries have actually received the benefit so far. 'Did the Chief Minister forget his promise to provide pensions to BC women above 50 years of age?' Bharat asked, noting that nearly 60 lakh women from BC and SC communities qualify under this commitment. He also aimed the promise of paying Rs 18,500 to every woman aged 18 and above, saying that despite being a major electoral assurance, the government has failed to implement it. 'Where is the Rs 20,000 promised under Rythu Bharosa?' he questioned, asserting that farmers have been left in the lurch.

YSRCP MLC Varudu Kalyani slams Andhra Pradesh govt on completion of one year, says women betrayed by NDA coalition
Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) [India], June 14 (ANI): Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Women President and MLC Varudu Kalyani slammed the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh as the coalition government completed one year of its rule in the state. She hit out at the government over safety issues, alleging failed promises, and scheme cuts. Speaking at a round table meeting organised today to discuss the impact of one year of NDA coalition rule, YSRCP MLC Varudu Kalyani highlighted several key concerns regarding women's welfare and safety under the current government. She stated, 'This meeting was focused on the welfare of women and the increasing atrocities against women under the NDA coalition government. Many women participants expressed their deep disappointment, saying they had trusted and voted for the coalition parties, only to be betrayed. Not a single major promise made by the current government has been fulfilled, and women's safety has been completely neglected. On average, 70 to 80 cases of atrocities against women are being reported every day in Andhra Pradesh. This alone reflects the deteriorating condition of law and order in the state.' She further added, 'In the last one year, the coalition government hasn't even conducted a single review on women's safety. In contrast, during our YSRCP government, CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy gave top priority to women's safety and implemented 99 percent of the promises made to the people. Our police were deployed to protect citizens and implement welfare schemes. But today, they are being misused to frame false cases against YSRCP leaders instead of ensuring women's safety.' Kalyani also pointed out the government's financial mismanagement: 'In just one year, the NDA coalition has borrowed Rs 1.65 lakh crore, while our government borrowed Rs 3.5 lakh crore over five years. They have already borrowed more than 50 percent of what we did in our full term.' She concluded by saying, 'We will continue to fight against this government until they implement the promised schemes. The people, especially women, are waiting for Jagan Mohan Reddy's return to power because of the good governance he delivered.' Criticising TDP leader Nara Lokesh, she remarked, 'When Jagan Mohan Reddy was Chief Minister, Lokesh used to oppose the education policies. But now, they've simply renamed our 'Amma Vodi' scheme as 'Talli Ki Vandanam' while failing to implement it properly for an entire year. Just before the elections, they announced financial assistance but deducted Rs 2,000 from each beneficiary. They promised Rs 15,000 but disbursed only Rs 13,000. This clearly shows their poor commitment and false promises. They should think carefully before making statements and honour what they say.' (ANI)

Darsi MLA gets notice over law & order breach during Jagan visit
Vijayawada: Podili police of Prakasam district issued a formal notice to Darsi MLA Buchepalli Shivaprasad Reddy in connection with multiple incidents that allegedly disrupted law and order in Podili town on June 11, during the visit of former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. According to the notice issued by the Podili inspector of police, the incidents occurred despite prior intimation and specific instructions issued to the legislator and his party regarding security arrangements for the high-profile visit. In the lead-up to the visit, the police carried out a site inspection of the designated helipad location at a local degree college in Podili and communicated several security protocols to the MLA. These included the mandatory establishment of a 200-metre zone around the helipad, limiting access to a single VIP convoy and one accompanying bus, as well as strict adherence to guidelines by party workers. The police reiterated that these protocols were conveyed in advance to ensure a smooth and secure visit. However, on the day of the event, several violations were reported by the police. Party workers allegedly breached the zone and forcibly removed barricades that were installed as part of the security arrangements. In addition to this, numerous private vehicles, which were not granted prior permission, reportedly made their way to the helipad area, further complicating the security situation. The notice also highlights that YSRCP activists allegedly attempted to assault members of other political parties who were present in the town and engaged in throwing footwear and stones. Police were reportedly injured in the process, and their official duties were disrupted. Additionally, the VIP convoy route was obstructed, posing a significant security concern.
