Once you know how to use Netflix's secret codes, it's easier to skip the fluff and jump straight into something fresh and worth watching.

What are Netflix secret category codes?
Netflix codes are a set of unique numerical identifiers that can help you find specific genres or sub-genres in the Netflix library on the streamer's website (not the app).
Typically, you're constrained to the genres available via the main Netflix menu. There's no way to choose by specific category other than what's been chosen for you when you log on. Using these codes opens up an entire library of options for you to choose from that can help you better settle on what to watch for the night. It can even help you discover shows and movies.
Adding these codes to the ends of Netflix URLs lets you directly access collections of movies and TV shows that fall under your chosen category. For example, if you're short on time and want to queue up a shorter movie, you could check the 90-Minute Movies category with the code 81466194. Looking for something for your entire brood to enjoy? The "Family Movie Night" collection, accessed with code 2013975, is chock-full of favorites even Grandma can get into.

How do I find Netflix's secret menus of movies and shows?
There isn't an all-encompassing Netflix secret menu per se. Instead, you will use URLs with special codes to display certain curated collections of movies and shows.
Netflix-Codes.com has a good list of the streaming platform's hidden genre categories and subcategories. In total, there are about 20 top-level categories covering genres like animation, foreign films and classic movies. Within those main genres are many more hyper-specific subgenres denoted by numeric codes.
All you need to do is find the category you want, copy the related code and append it to the end of a Netflix URL.
What kinds of categories does Netflix offer?
There's much more to Netflix than what you've been scrolling through. At last count, there were more than 36,000 unique categories to explore.
The entirety of the categories available on Netflix starts with broad main genres like Action, Comedy and Drama, but they get more specific as you dive even deeper. There are straight-to-the-point collections like Movies Directed by Women (code 2974953), or more specifically targeted curated lists, like Supernatural Soaps (code 81238162), just in case you like your werewolves with a side of angst and romance.

Netflix codes for award-winning movies and shows
Netflix secret codes are exactly that -- secret. There's no official directory, and it's hard to get a full list, as categories will go empty as movies and shows move on and off Netflix. The names of categories will also change often as well so you'll want to be vigilant when you go searching for what you want to watch.
To make it easier for you, there are even categories that you can use to find all the award-winning movies and shows to be discovered on the streamer.

How do I find more Netflix codes?
If you're not comfortable with editing Netflix URLs, you can use a browser extension to access the secret menus. The Better Browse for Netflix extension for Chrome is a great choice. Here's how to use it:
1. Go to the Chrome Web Store and search for "Better Browse for Netflix." (Note that this extension is unavailable for Firefox users.)
2. Click Add to Chrome.
3. Click Add Extension.
4. Log into your Netflix account in a new tab.
If the extension is installed, you'll see a Browse All option at the top of your Netflix home screen next to My List. Click it to scroll through the subgenres or to search through specific categories.

There's no need to scroll Netflix natively with this add-on and it features 7,500 categories alphabetized for your convenience.
A third way is through the Netflix Codes website. Here's how:
1. Visit Netflix-codes.com in any PC or mobile browser.
2. Find the genre or subgenre you want to explore.
3. Tap the code next to the genre or subgenre you want.
4. If you're on a device that has the Netflix app installed, the app should open and take you directly to the genre or subgenre you chose. If you don't have the app installed, it'll open Netflix through the browser and you can view the specific movies and shows available.
5. Tap the title you want to watch and it'll start playing.
Finally, if you're comfortable with creating custom URLs, you can use Netflix codes manually in your browser. Here's how:
1. Visit Netflix-codes.com on any PC or mobile browser.
2. Find the genre or subgenre you want to explore.

The Sandman showrunner addresses Superman references in the Netflix show and reveals a Batman cameo was "briefly" discussed for the finale: "Does Robert Pattinson want to come to the funeral?"

Following the release of The Sandman season 2, the show's creator, Allan Heinberg, has just revealed he considered including a Batman cameo in the final episode. In case you didn't know, Neil Gaiman's comic is set within the main DC universe, with some major superheroes occasionally making an appearance. "We talked about, 'Does Robert Pattinson want to come to the funeral?' Briefly, we did discuss that, but only briefly," said Heinberg (via Comic Book Movie). It's unlikely that this 'crossover' could have happened on screen, but fans can still go back to the comics if they want a taste of what could have been. On the page, Batman shows up at Morpheus' funeral along with many other recognizable characters, from Martian Manhunter and Lucifer to Clark Kent. With James Gunn's Superman landing in cinemas at the same time as The Sandman's finale, the showrunner also addressed the many Superman references that can be spotted, particularly in the bonus episode Death: The High Cost of Living, released on July 31. Heinberg said that he doesn't "even know if James Gunn watches the show", but he hopes so. "It was that I tried to work in as many DC references as I can," he said. "It was one of those things where Colin (Morgan) really wanted to show the, not arrested side of Sexton, but playful side of Sexton. That this is somebody who actually, prior to this moment, has a lot of joy and a lot of idealism and he's trying to be out there and, as a climate emergency reporter for The Guardian, he's trying to be a superhero. And he's feeling like he's failing every time he turns around," Heinberg explained. "So because we meet him at such a low point," he continued, "we wanted to really show the audience, this is not someone who's usually like this, this is someone with big ideals and big dreams and who wants to be a hero. And Superman is the cleanest. And I've been putting DC Comics stuff into everything I've written for as long as I can remember. So it was a very natural thing to go to Superman." With the bonus episode now available to watch on streaming, The Sandman has officially wrapped on Netflix after two seasons. Netflix just got one of the best HBO shows you (probably) skipped — and you've got 2 seasons to binge-watch now
On the surface, there's pretty much nothing about 'Love Life' that sets it apart from the rest of the romantic comedy-drama pack. It's a fizzy HBO Max show that follows a protagonist (Anna Kendrick in season 1, William Jackson Harper in season 2) from their first proper romantic relationship, until their final, the one that lasts forever. So, it's a show about the trials and tribulations of modern dating. Hardly groundbreaking stuff. And yet, it's elevated beyond its basic premise by sheer charm. The show premiered in 2020, season 2 dropped a year later, and 12 months after that, it wasn't just unceremoniously canceled, but also outright removed from HBO Max's library. Since then, "Love Life" has bounced around lower-profile platforms like Plex, but now, it's found itself a new streaming partner in Netflix, as both seasons arrive on the service today (August 5). This is particularly good news for viewers in need of a mood-boosting show, but also one with plenty of relatability. Anybody who was, or still is, unlucky in love will deeply resonate with the 20-episode anthology series, as several scenes may mirror your own personal experiences. Want to know more about 'Love Life' before you put on a ring on it and add it to your Netflix watchlist? Here's the full scoop on this easy-watching series, and why it ranks as one of my favourite romantic-comedy shows of the past decade. The basic premise of 'Love Life' is pretty straightforward: Each season follows a different main character, and covers their entire dating life, from awkward one-night stands to initially perfect relationships that fall apart after the honeymoon phase comes to a swift end. It's all in an effort to explore how each relationship changes a person, and how the scars (and a few fond memories) shape them into the person they need to be to meet 'the one.' By the end of the season, the lead character has developed and settled into themselves. The first season of 'Love Life' follows Darby Carter (Anna Kendrick), a millennial New Yorker, who attempts to find herself in the Big Apple while also juggling several relationships, from saying goodbye to 'the one that got away' to some very questionable dating decisions. Meanwhile, season 2 subs in Marcus Watkins (William Jackson Harper), as we follow him from being stuck in a rocky marriage to becoming smitten with Mia (Jessica Williams), and also making a few questionable calls. 'Love Life's' biggest strength is simply that it's an extremely polished product. What it lacks in originality, it makes up for in emotionally smart writing, strong performances (particularly from Kendrick and Jackson Harper), and a slick style that fits its focus on modern dating. I particularly enjoyed the insight into Darby's childhood in season 1. One of the later episodes is dedicated to an extended flashback, and it's interesting (and perhaps a little too relatable) how Darby's childhood traumas have influenced the flawed adults she's become. Flip to season 2, and the show focuses more on a will-they-won't relationship between Marcus and Mia. This gives the season a stronger through line than found in its freshman outing, and it helps that Mia is never villainized. If anything, Marcus is portrayed as the unreasonable one when he accuses her of stringing him along and not committing to him. If you're looking for a comfort show, 'Love Life' definitely fits the bill. It's not all sunny, and it's not afraid to look at the difficult (and uncomfortable) parts of trying to find a soulmate, but its tone is light enough that you can turn to it when you need something warm and cozy. 'Love Life' was generally well received by critics, but there's a clear preference for season 2. On Rotten Tomatoes, Season 1 holds a respectable 63% score, but season 2 jumps up to an impressive 95%. Curiously, the viewers' score flips this ranking. On RT's viewers' score scale, season 1 has 83%, while season 2 has a lower 66%. Perhaps some audience members felt the novelness of the core idea was wearing off by the second installment. Calling a show 'perfectly pleasant' might seem like fairly mild praise, at best, but when it comes to a series like 'Love Life,' that was clearly the aim. This HBO series didn't have grand ambition; instead, it's a romance story framed around likeable and authentic characters. And it completely succeeds at this relatively modest aim. That's a good thing. It's highly unlikely we'll ever get a 'Love Life' season 3. Even if the series becomes a monster hit now that it's arrived on Netflix, I suspect a revival off the table. But even if that's the case, I'm content to settle down with the two seasons we got and rewatch them now that they're on Netflix. WWE Raw Results August 4, 2025: 5 Takeaways From Post-SummerSlam Show
The Raw after SummerSlam was like the episode to tie up any loose ends following two epic nights at MetLife Stadium. There were two title matches, but no new champions were crowned. Still, there was a lot uncovered. Here are the five biggest takeaways from Raw after SummerSlam 2025. Seth Rollins Names His Faction and Shows Us He's Healthy Seth Rollins is in excellent physical condition—at least visually—and he worked a pretty physical match against LA Knight in the show's main event to prove it. More on that later, but Rollins also named his faction. He, Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed will be known as The Vision. I'd expect merch to land sometime very soon. The show-opening promo from Heyman and Rollins was stellar, though it was interrupted by a clumsily executed rant from Knight. For a guy whose persona is built on one-liners, he gets tongue-tied an awful lot. In any case, he's still majorly over with the fans, and boy is he underrated as an athlete and in-ring performer. The match was decent, and there is likely more to come between him and Rollins later this Lynch is the Greatest Female Wrestler Ever, It's Official Lynch said it during her mic session on Monday, and as she mentioned, a writer for Sports Illustrated said it: she is the greatest female wrestler of all time. For a while, I held that title for Charlotte, but watching Lynch make the most of every position she's in has pushed The Man to the top of the list for me. Lynch is owning this IC title reign, and she destroyed Nikki Bella on the mic on Monday. We've heard a lot of references to Bella's past relationship with John Cena over the years, but Lynch dropped an absolute nuke that seemed to legitimately get under Nikki's skin. Very rarely will you see a bar dropped that elicits the 'holy s###' chant from fans, but this one deservedly did. Take a look at this video. Lynch is doing her job. She is elevating the women's IC title like Gunther did for the men's version, and that's the other thing that has pushed her to the top of my Addressed Brock Lesnar's Return WWE didn't go into great detail, but Michael Cole did read a statement from WWE CEO Nick Khan and CCO Triple H in which they told fans that they called Brock Lesnar a few weeks ago and told him, 'it's time for you to come home.' As you saw on Sunday night, Lesnar took them up on the offer, and his presence immediately delivered what was arguably the pop of the Lee is Coming Back, the Groundwork is Being Laid Did you catch what Lynch said in her mic work? She said, 'me and my hot husband are the greatest wrestling couple of all time.' Rollins is embroiled in a major feud with CM Punk, who is married to…AJ Lee. There is no way WWE will resist the urge to offer Lee an outrageous amount of money to main event Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, or WrestleMania in a mixed tag-team match with her husband vs. Lynch and Rollins. That match is big enough to main event any WWE show, and I have to believe it is coming over the next six to eight Threat is Upcoming for Clash in Paris Before any of that happens, it seems like we're looking at a Triple Threat match for Clash in Paris. Rollins is seemingly on pace to defend his World Heavyweight title against Knight and Punk. The latter interrupted the main event match, and that usually means all three men will wind up battling soon. It's a cool main event, but it doesn't seem like a match that will see Rollins drop the title. They're pushing the 'Absolute Power' concept for The Vision, and it would be weird to have him drop the title less than 30 days after winning it.
