Kid Cudi is expressing his gratitude.
Shortly after appearing in court to testify in Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal sex trafficking trial, the "Pursuit of Happiness" rapper—whose real name is Scott Mescudi—shared a message thanking his fans for their support.
"Hey guys, I just wanna say I've been seeing all the love and support," Mescudi said in a video shared to X (formerly Twitter) May 22. "I just wanna say thank you so much, man. People have been hitting me up the past week, just checking in—even today."
Noting that all the kind words "really mean a lot to me," the 41-year-old went on admit he feels relieved to have closed this chapter of his life.
"This is a stressful situation," Mescudi said. "I'm glad it's behind me."
Concluding his message, he added, "I love y'all, man. Big love."
Earlier that day, Mescudi took the stand in New York to describe an alleged trespassing incident that occurred while he was dating Cassie Ventura from 2011 to 2012, amid her decade-long, on-and-off relationship with Combs.

The rapper alleged that Combs—who has pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution—broke into his house in 2011 after finding out about his romance with Ventura.
And when the "Day 'N' Nite" rapper said he confronted the 55-year-old about his suspected forced entry, he allegedly received a chilling response.

"He said, 'What's up?'" Mescudi testified, per NBC News, 'and I said, 'Motherf--ker, are you in my house?' He said, 'I am here waiting for you.'"
When Mescudi finally returned home, he said only the police were at his residence. However, he alleged that security cameras had been moved, his dog was 'locked up in the bathroom' and 'some gifts were opened up on the counter.'
Combs has not publicly addressed the alleged break-in.
Mescudi and Ventura, 38, ultimately called in quits in early 2012—a decision that the "Me & U" singer testified was made due to Combs' alleged behavior.
'[There was] too much uncertainty if we continued to see each other,' Ventura said during her May 14 testimony, per NBC News. 'Sean said he was going to hurt the both of us.'

Why Zendaya and Tom Holland Haven't Started Wedding Planning Yet

THE RUNDOWN At the 2025 Golden Globes, Zendaya revealed her engagement to Tom Holland, flashing her east-west diamond ring. In the months since, neither she nor Holland has said anything about their wedding plans, but sources and Zendaya's longtime stylist, Law Roach, have. On July 17, 2025, Roach told E! that Zendaya hasn't begun planning yet for good reason. 'Zendaya is working on so many movies,' he said on the red carpet of the Las Culturistas Culture Awards. 'She's now filming the next iteration of Dune, so she's away doing that. It's so many movies, so we have time. We have a lot of time.' In May 2025, Roach made the same point, telling Complex that the wedding isn't happening in the near future. 'Zendaya is working on six movies; she has like six movies coming out,' he said. 'I'm thinking about the press tours!' He also revealed Zendaya and Holland are 'trying to be as private as possible' when it comes to their relationship and big day. Shortly after the actors' engagement was confirmed in January, a source told People that 'they will just enjoy things for now and won't rush a wedding. They are both busy with work projects.' Zendaya and Holland have been a very private couple throughout their years of dating. In summer 2023, Zendaya spoke to ELLE about how she balances being a public-facing star with protecting her relationship with Holland. 'Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public,' she said. 'I can't not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It's about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can't hide. That's not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now.' Here, all we know about the pair's upcoming nuptials so far. The couple has been busy with work, Roach told E! at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards' red carpet on July 17. 'The process hasn't even started yet,' he said. 'Zendaya is working on so many movies. She's now filming the next iteration of Dune [Part Three in Hungary], so she's away doing that. It's so many movies, so we have time. We have a lot of time.' In April, Zendaya's stylist and creative director told E! that 'of course,' he'll be involved in dressing Zendaya for the wedding. But Roach cautioned the nuptials were 'far away. They're both doing a bunch of movies this year, and there's a lot of premieres next year so you'll see a lot of red carpets. I'm resting up for 2026.' A month later, Roach reiterated that 'no,' he is not working on Zendaya's wedding dress in an interview with Complex. 'Zendaya is working on six movies; she has like six movies coming out. I'm thinking about the press tours!' Roach told Complex that Zendaya's wedding dress will likely be one 'nobody will ever see.' He added, 'She and Tom are super private about their relationship. They're trying to be as private as possible. There won't be a Vogue spread or there won't be pictures of the wedding and the people who she will invite will be really respectful of their privacy, so it will be a really beautiful dress that no one gets to see.' During a July 2025 interview with E!, the stylist doubled down on this, saying that Zendaya will be 'a secret bride.' While their wedding date is not imminent, the couple is ready for the next stage of their relationship. The Spider-Man actor popped the question over the 2024 holidays in part because he is interested in starting a family with the actress and doing so 'relatively young,' a source told Us Weekly on January 11. 'Tom wanted to propose because he feels he is at the right time in his life and feels ready to settle down,' the insider detailed. 'They had many conversations over the years, but there was never any pressure. Zendaya is giddy and excited. She knew it might have been coming but never put pressure on it.'

Sean Combs' lawyers ask judge to release him from jail while awaiting sentencing

Attorneys for Sean "Diddy" Combs have asked a federal judge to release him from jail ahead of his sentencing, scheduled for Oct. 3, saying that there are 'exceptional reasons' why he shouldn't remain behind bars. Combs was convicted on July 2 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in a split verdict that acquitted him of two counts of sex trafficking and one count of racketeering conspiracy. In a letter Tuesday addressed to Judge Arun Subramanian, who presided over Combs' trial, attorneys for the rap music mogul argued that there were "exceptional reasons" that merited Combs' release, stating in part that the law under which Combs was convicted "has never been applied to facts similar to these to prosecute or incarcerate any other person.' "There has literally never been a case, like this one, where a person and his girlfriend arranged for adult men to have consensual sexual relations with the adult, long-term girlfriend as part of a demonstrated swingers lifestyle, and has been prosecuted and incarcerated under the Mann Act,' the defense letter said. 'Sean Combs should not be in jail for this conduct." The 12-page letter proposes that Combs be released on $50 million bail and reside in his home in Miami while awaiting sentencing, with any travel "limited to the Southern District of Florida, the Southern District of New York for attorney meetings, as well as airports necessary to travel between the two." Though Combs was acquitted of the more serious sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges, Subramanian declined to release him on bail prior to sentencing, citing a provision in the transportation to engage in prostitution law that he said presumes detention. Combs has spent more than 10 months behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, since his arrest in Sept. 2024. His attorneys initially attempted and then discontinued efforts to secure an earlier sentencing date for him.

Craig Melvin grills Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson on their relationship status

America wants the naked truth about the relationship status of the stars of 'The Naked Gun.' Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson play love interests in the comedy reboot of the classic 1988 film, prompting "TODAY" co-anchor Craig Melvin to ask if there are some real-life sparks when they appeared on the show on Tuesday. 'What's the deal here?' Melvin asked. 'You're both single right now. There's clearly chemistry on display throughout this film. Are you two an item?' 'Craig!' Neeson replied incredulously. 'What?' asked an exasperated Anderson. 'I don't understand the question.' 'I had never met Pamela before. We met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry — as two actors,' Neeson said. 'Yeah,' agreed Anderson. 'It's like, 'Oh, this is nice. Let's not mold this. Let's just let it breathe,'' Neeson continued. 'And that's what we did.' 'We're watching the beginning of the breathing of a budding relationship,' Melvin said. 'America's here for it, we're here for whatever this turns into,' he added. Anderson has been married to Tommy Lee, Kid Rock, Rick Salomon and Dan Hayhurst, whom she separated from in 2022, E! News reported. Neeson was married to Natasha Richardson, who died in 2009 in a skiing accident. Neeson plays Frank Drebin Jr. — the son of Leslie Nielsen's original 'Naked Gun' character — in the new 'Naked Gun,' while Anderson plays his love interest, Beth Davenport. The movie opens Aug. 1.
