Pembrokeshire County Show sponsors thanked by society
Chairman of Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society's board of trustees, Mike Davies, said: "Sponsorship and Pembrokeshire County Show have been a successful combination for many years.
"Sponsors have enjoyed promoting their businesses through the varied mediums of banners, announcements, show rings, buildings, equine and livestock classes and championships over the years.
"We are always grateful for their support. Without them it would not be possible to put on the show."
The society has thanked its sponsors, including Castell Howell Foods Ltd, NFU Mutual Pembrokeshire, Welsh Government, J E Lawrence & Son, Eurofarm Wales, CCF Ltd, Castle Morris Equine & Pets, Puffin Produce/Pembrokeshire Creamery, and Valero Energy Ltd.
Fenton Vets was also recognised for its continued support as the show's onsite veterinary team.
Preparations for the event, the largest county agricultural show in Wales, are well underway thanks to the efforts of staff, volunteers, directors, and trustees.
Pure West Radio will return as the society's official media partner, broadcasting live from the showground from 6am on both days.
The station will provide entertainment, competitions, travel updates, and coverage of the mainstage throughout the event.
Discounted tickets are now available to purchase online until midnight on Tuesday, August 19.
Adult tickets are priced at £17, and children aged five to 16 can attend for £8.
Entry is free for under-fives and carers.
The Pembrokeshire County Show is one of the most anticipated events in the region's calendar, celebrating rural life and bringing together communities from across the county.

CARAS award for Pembrokeshire County Show chairman
Mike Davies, chairman of the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society's board of trustees, received the Associateship of the Royal Agricultural Societies (ARAgS) from CARAS at the Royal Welsh Show. Mr Davies said: "I am very proud to receive this award from CARAS. "It means a lot to me. "I don't seek recognition for the work I do but it is gratefully received." CARAS, the Council for Awards of Royal Agricultural Societies, honours individuals who have made a significant impact on agriculture and the wider rural sector. Mr Davies has played a key role in organising and running the Pembrokeshire County Show for many years. He began stewarding Welsh Mountain ponies in 1999, joined the executive committee in 2001, and went on to serve as chief steward of Welsh horse breeds and as show president in 2013. During the covid-19 pandemic, he led the society through a period of uncertainty, making difficult decisions to safeguard its future and ensure the county show could continue. Mansel Raymond MBE FRAgS, chair of CARAS Cymru and a former president of the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society, said: "Mike Davies is a very worthy recipient of the ARAgS for his outstanding contribution to agriculture and the farming community in Pembrokeshire. "His commitment and dedication to the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society is very clear to see, and his skilful leadership has helped steer the society through difficulties and has helped ensure the continued existence of our beloved Pembrokeshire County Show and ensured that we still have this fabulous event in the county to showcase our farming industry." Mr Davies farms in partnership with his brother Martin and their families. He manages the dairy and arable unit at Good Hook alongside his wife Ann and sons Danny and Joe. Meanwhile, Martin runs a poultry unit at Cuckoo Mill Farm, producing turkeys for farmers' markets and the catering sector across south-west Wales. In addition to his work with the agricultural society, Mr Davies serves as chairman of the Pembrokeshire Hunt and chairman of Fallen Stock. Other Pembrokeshire recipients of the ARAgS award included Delme Harries, a director and trustee of the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society since 2021. Mr Harries is also vice chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council and a long-serving representative of NFU Mutual. Additional honourees included Janet and Perkin Evans, William Pritchard, and Sam Kurtz, while Huw Thomas of Puffin Produce was elevated to Fellowship. The awards were presented by Mr Raymond at the Royal Welsh Show.

Search for Pembrokeshire farming long service workers
The President and Trustees of the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society wish to offer inscribed Awards to both male and female workers who have not received a Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society Long Service Award previously. There were three recipients for the inscribed Awards at last year's County Show: Gary Barber who has been employed by Pembrokeshire Farmers Hunt for 33 years; Robert Davies who works for Michael Morris and Sally Rees who works for Tom Goddard & Sons in Camrose. The 2025 Long Service Awards presentation will take place on Wednesday, 20 August from 4pm, in the President's Pavilion at the Pembrokeshire County Show and the award recipient and guest will receive complimentary entry tickets to the show. Tim and Margaret Johns, joint Presidents of the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society this year said: 'It gives us great pleasure as a Society to reward those who have been employed for such a significant amount of time by one employer in the county. We recognise what an achievement this is and it deserves an award. "We are very much looking forward to receiving applications for this year's Long Service Award. The decision of the committee will be final.' Conditions of the Award being given are: 1. The recipient must, on the first day of the Annual Show, have been in service for 25 years on the same farm continuously, or continuously in the service of the same employer within Pembrokeshire. 2.
