The Final 'Downton Abbey' Film Is Coming—Read All About It Here!
The final installment in the Downton Abbey cinematic universe is on the way—and we can hardly contain our excitement! The historical drama first pulled us in back in 2010, and since the first moments we spent getting to know the Crawley family, we've been invested in the lives of the characters through it all. Now, as we prepare for the final chapter, take a look at what you can expect from Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, headed to theaters soon!
The third and final movie in the Downton Abbey film series will follow Lady Mary, played by Michelle Dockery, who first made her debut in the series over a decade ago. In the last movie in the trilogy, fans will get to follow along on her journey as she navigates London's high society in 1930. Simultaneously, Lord and Lady Grantham will play a part in this film as they manage their Yorkshire county estate. Check out the film's trailer below!
In addition to Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern will return in their roles of Lord and Lady Grantham. Other familiar faces joining this cast include Jim Carter as Mr. Carson, Joanne Froggatt as Anna, Brendan Coyle as John, Penelope Wilton as Isobel, Phyllis Logan as Mrs. Hughes, as well as Dominic West as Guy Dexter and Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti as Harold. Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale will hit theaters on September 12.
With The Grand Finale being the final installment of Downton Abbey, many of the cast members have reflected fondly on the journey. 'It's a beautiful film,' Michelle Dockery told Collider earlier in the year. 'For us, it was such a treat to be able to come back together again. It's a real tribute to Maggie Smith, the film.' Smith portrayed Violet Crawley in the series and after her 2024 passing, is remembered with love and affection by both her past costars and the world.
Dockery continued, 'For us, we've had so many last times,' she said, referring to various finales over the years, 'But this time around, I think we really relished every minute. It being the last, it felt really, really special. Like anything, when something comes to an end, it's emotional but just such a happy place to be. It's always been a very happy place to be and a wonderful thing to be part of for the last 15 years.' Don't miss this final chapter, heading to theaters this September!

Woman Fears Her New Boyfriend Is Just Using Her ‘for Fun' — 'Something's Not Adding Up'
A woman fears that 'something's not adding up' about her new relationship Explaining the situation on Mumsnet, she said she sees her new boyfriend about three times a week, but she gets the feeling he's not serious about her Commenters encouraged the woman to have an honest conversation with the man about her expectationsA woman is worried that something is off about her current relationship — and she's asking others for advice. In a post titled 'Something's not adding up,' on the U.K.-based community site Mumsnet, the woman explained that she met her current boyfriend a little over a year ago, and that they were 'off and on' for nine months before becoming official. She admires his 'ambition and drive,' and they have mutual friends, 'literally no one has a bad word to say about him — only good things," she said. The original poster (OP), who explained that she has a child, went on to add that she and the boyfriend live in separate homes, and that he comes over about three evenings a week — one of which is a sleepover. 'We have fun. [We] go on holidays, [go to] bars — even trips out with my child together,' she said, before adding, 'But something in my gut tells me I'm just a bit of fun [to him] — I don't know what it is.' The majority of commenters advised the OP to sit down and have a candid conversation with her partner. The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now! 'What would an ideal timeline for this relationship look like for you?' one person asked, adding, 'What commitment do you want from a boyfriend of four months (even though you have been dating longer)? Maybe he still sees it as a new relationship (which it is). You need to talk expectations and see if they are compatible with his.' Someone else said, 'It's too early for him to move in with you (if this is that you have in mind). You have a child so you need to take things slowly and I suspect this is what he thinks, but talk to him.' Others encouraged the OP to slow down and to remember that she's only been official with this man for a few months. I'd probably reduce the amount of time he's at your place when your [child] is around. You don't want them getting attached to someone who hasn't yet committed,' a commenter said, adding, 'Just enjoy it for the casual relationship it is! There's nothing wrong with that!' How an "Olive Branch" From King Charles to Beatrice and Eugenie Could Be a "Huge Problem" for the Royal Family
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. King Charles may be "forced" to skip one particular tradition at this year's Trooping the Colour, by trading horseback riding for a carriage arrival. According to one royal expert, The King might also be considering extending an "olive branch" to Prince Andrew's daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. However, The King's kindness could allegedly backfire. It's currently unclear whether Beatrice and Eugenie will join the Royal Family on the Buckingham Palace balcony for Trooping the Colour on June 14. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams spoke to GB News about why any potential decision to include Eugenie and Beatrice could cause a "huge problem" for King Charles. "It would bring into focus the fact that [Prince] Andrew does not appear, and anything to do with him is still too toxic," Fitzwilliams told the outlet. "Unfortunately for the Yorks, there is a problem, a huge problem, and it would send a message that would not be appropriate at the moment." While Prince Andrew did attend the Royal Family's Easter church service in April, he's been largely absent from public life in recent years. Following his disastrous Newsnight interview in 2019 and his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew was forced to take a step back from carrying out any official royal duties. As for The King's decision to forgo horseback riding at Trooping the Colour, in favor of arriving by carriage with Queen Camilla, Fitzwilliams told the outlet, "I think that it's only sensible, given the treatment for cancer and the fact that he did so last year for the same reason." The royal expert continued, "He'll be accepting it." According to the Express, it's believed that Prince William, Princess Kate, and their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—will join Charles and Camilla on the Buckingham Palace balcony. Princess Anne and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, and Prince Edward and his wife, Duchess Sophie, are also thought to have received an invite to stand on the balcony for 2025's Trooping the Colour.

Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte Showcase Their Mother-Daughter Style at Trooping the Colour 2025
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Trooping the Colour 2025 is in full swing, and Princess Charlotte has made quite the entrance. Riding in a carriage alongside her mother, Princess Kate, Charlotte was photographed wearing a light turquoise dress, adorned with a sparkly brooch, subtly matching mom Kate. Both mother and daughter seemed to be delighted to be attending the prestigious celebration. Charlotte's siblings, Prince George and Prince Louis, are also in attendance at the summer event, and they appear to be having a ball. For the occasion, Kate Middleton opted for an aquamarine coat dress by Catherine Walker known as the "Bria," channeling her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, who was a huge fan of the designer. Kate's daughter, Princess Charlotte, wore a lighter aquamarine shade, with her sweet dress leaning more towards baby blue. The subtle coordination sent the message that the mother-daughter duo are incredibly close. Charlotte and Kate also wore coordinating outfits at Trooping the Colour in 2024. While Princess Kate opted for a white ribbon dress featuring navy accents by Jenny Packham, which she paired with a Philip Treacy hat, Charlotte wore a navy dress with white ribbon detailing—essentially her mother's outfit in reverse. The striking contrast made quite the impact as the pair posed on the Buckingham Palace balcony with the rest of the Royal Family. Fans were particularly excited to see Princess Kate attending Trooping the Colour in 2024, as it marked the Princess of Wales's first public appearance following her cancer diagnosis. Discussing just how monumental it was to witness Princess Kate standing next to King Charles at the event, royal editor for The Sunday Times, Roya Nikkhah, wrote, "Little happens by accident when it comes to royal pictures and messaging. The sight of Charles shoulder-to-shoulder with the princess on the Buckingham Palace balcony spoke volumes about his pride in his beloved daughter-in-law."
