Paul McCartney describes Spinal Tap song as ‘literature' in first sequel trailer

Speaking in the trailer, Sir Paul says: 'Pink Torpedo, that's literature, really.'
The film is a follow-up to This Is Spinal Tap (1984), and follows David St Hubbins (Michael McKean), Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) as they reunite after a 15-year hiatus.
In the trailer, introduced by Marty DiBergi (played by real life director Rob Reiner), the band's members are seen to have launched their own cryptocurrency and worked in a shop during their time apart.
Their reunion is revealed to take place in New Orleans as a replacement for 'an evening with Stormy Daniels' which was cancelled at the venue, while a scene showing them going through merchandise for the show sees the band looking at branded Tap Water.
The band are later asked whether one of them would be willing to die during the concert, with one of the members replying: 'Would you settle for a coma?'
Spinal Tap II: The End Continues will be released in cinemas in the UK on September 12.
The original film followed the band from their beginnings as the skiffle group, The Originals, through to their time as a 1960s R&B group called The Thamesmen who had a hit with Gimme Some Money, before eventually becoming Spinal Tap, which begins as a psychedelic band before moving into heavy metal.
As Spinal Tap, the film follows the group as they release the album Smell The Glove, which retailers refuse to sell due to its sexist cover, and plan a large-scale, Druid-themed glam rock show, but a replica of Stonehenge which was supposed to be 18ft high, ends up being 18 inches after they get the measurements wrong.
The name Spinal Tap has become a derogatory term to describe real bands who overindulge in rock cliches, while the film also gave birth to the phrase 'turn it up to 11' after guitarist Nigel's amps were shown to have volume switches that go to 11 rather than 10 in the original movie.

I forked out £80k to look like a cartoon character – now I want even more surgery to achieve my goal

A WOMAN who forked out £80,000 for her dramatic plastic surgery has revealed she has no plans to stop going under the knife. Pixiee Fox drew inspiration from cartoon characters including Jessica Rabbit and Sleeping Beauty for her transformation, but was told she would end up looking "goofy" by plastic surgeons. 5 5 5 On an episode of E!'s Botched, Pixiee faced plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif as she revealed she wanted to go under the knife yet again to lower her hair line to make her forehead appear smaller. "I never really felt human, I always felt more like a fantasy creature," she said on the show. But when Pixiee met with the surgeons they weren't convinced by her plans to lower her hairline. "I am so close to becoming a real life cartoon, I need a small surgery and I'm done," she said. After a consultation with the doctors, they determined her previous surgeries had caused too much damage. "I have never seen anything like this in my entire career," Doctor Terry said. The duo broke the news to Pixiee that they wouldn't operate on her, but she hinted she would still go ahead with the surgery elsewhere, despite their advice. How has Pixee Fox made herself look like a Barbie doll? The social media star has had countless plastic surgery ops since her first procedure in 2011, transforming her body. Pixee, who lives in North Carolina, flew to India to have her eye colour changed in a dangerous operation that is not performed in Europe or America. She also went to Korea to have her jaw shape changed in another extreme procedure that could have left her paralysed. She's had several boob jobs, bringing her up to a colossal 30J, and has pumped up her bum and lips with fat from her legs and belly. Pixee even admitted she 'gave up on love' to share a home with fellow surgery addict Justin Jedlica, so they can live together as a real-life Barbie and Ken. She's had 200 ops, including six ribs removed, four boob jobs, two rounds of liposuction, labiaplasty, and butt lift. And she even had her jaw broken, shaved and reset, to mimic Wonder Woman. Pixee Fox went through the agonising op to give her a symmetrical V-shaped jawline in June. She's also said to have had her nose and ears altered to make her look more like a Disney princess. Pixiee shot to fame for her unique looks, but soon the multiple procedures started to take a toll on her health, so she decided to take a break from going under the knife. Back in 2023 she shared an update with her Instagram followers, as she claimed her obsession with plastic surgery nearly killed her. She said: 'I was a person famous for having plastic surgery, and I have advertised doctors and the procedures they have done on me. I am making this post now because I see other girls advertising this doctor who almost ended my life." She added: 'I am lucky to still be alive after been in a coma for more than one week. So lucky to have friends and family coming to my aid and getting me home to Sweden." 5 5

Katie Price reveals her family's fears about her weight loss as her stepdad Paul voices his concern

Katie Price has revealed her family are worried about her drastic weight loss with her stepfather Paul voicing his concerns. The former glamour model, 47, has sparked concerns among fans over her rapid weight loss in recent months, revealing she weighed just 7st 12lb back in June. Speaking on her podcast The Katie Price Show, Katie has revealed that her family have echoed the concerns, but she insisted she is 'happy'. Katie appeared on the episode with her sister Sophie and her stepfather Paul, who voiced his concerns about her weight. 'Look how thin them legs are, terrible they are, my hand can go round them,' he worriedly shared. However, Katie replied: 'They're obsessed with my weight,' before Sophie also voiced her worries, adding: 'You are thin.' Katie then insisted that she is 'happy' but Paul replied: 'No it's not right, it's probably that vaping c**p.' The TV personality admitted her parents have shared their concern that she might have an eating disorder - which she denied. Sophie then told Katie that their mother Amy had called her to share her worries over her continuing weight loss. Sophie said: 'Mum called me the other day and said I'm going to have a word with Kate because she's too thin. I think mum saw a picture on Instagram and she wasn't happy.' However, Katie again replied: 'My legs do look thin, but I like it,' putting an end to the conversation. Katie has an extremely close relationship with her stepfather Paul, who has been in her life since she was three years old and she now shares his surname, Price. She has a distant relationship with her biological father Ray Infield, who left the family when she was an infant. Katie's mother Amy has previously admitted she believes her daughter suffers from body dysmorphia amid concerns over the star's weight loss. Body dysmorphia, or body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), is a condition where a person obsessively worries about apparent flaws in their appearance. Speaking to Vanessa Feltz on her TalkTV show in 2023, Amy confessed that she 'absolutely hates it' when Katie goes under the knife. When Vanessa asked her for her feelings on Katie's surgeries, Amy said: 'I absolutely hate it and she knows it. 'I think she, and I got her to admit it the other day, "you've got body dysmorphia". I don't know what it is. 'You know you look all right but why do you think you need to tweak this, tweak that or have a tattoo or change her hair?' Last year, Katie explained that she has never been happy with her body while speaking on The Louis Theroux Podcast. 'I always said I haven't got body dysmorphia but there's definitely something, I don't know what it is,' she shared. 'I've never looked in the mirror and thought I'm pretty or whatever.' Katie has undergone an array of procedures over the years, including rhinoplasty, a silhouette facelift, 3D, veneers, a face lift, and lip fillers and Botox. But the media personality admitted that a botched Brazilian butt lift (BBL) remains her most painful and regrettable procedure to date. Opening up to Katherine Ryan on her What's My Age Again? podcast in June, she said: 'I tried that BBL abroad where they take your own fat and put it in your bum.

Harrison Ford, 83, reveals real reason why he will never retire

Indiana Jones and Star Wars actor Harrison Ford explains why he won't stop acting Hollywood legend Harrison Ford says he has no plans to retire — even suggesting he chose the acting profession for that very reason. ‌ 'No. That's one of the things I thought was attractive about the job of an actor, was that they need old people, too, to play old people's parts,' the Star Wars actor, 83, said in a new interview. ‌ Harrison is celebrating more success and another accolade ticked off and his new chat came a few months after he pulled out of the Oscars due to illness. ‌ After decades of making great work playing the likes of Han Solo in Star Wars and Indiana Jones, he finally got his first Emmy nomination this year, for the AppleTV+ show 'Shrinking,' where he plays Dr. Paul Rhoades, a therapist who has Parkinson's disease. He modestly told Variety magazine: 'I don't think there's anything competitive about creativity, and I don't understand the need to compare and contrast one person's work to another's. If you like it, you like it; if you don't like it, look at something else. I'm grateful, but I would have done what I did — and I'll do what I'm doing — regardless of whether it's deemed worthy of mention or not. Because it's what I do. It's what I love doing. I love telling stories. I love pretending to be somebody else.' He had been working with Michael J. Fox in Season 3 which just finished filming, and Harrison's character, Paul, has been diagnosed with Parkinson's. Ford says that it was "essential" to talk to Fox as Paul continues to deal with his disease. 'Michael's courage, his fortitude and his grace, more than anything else, is on full display. He's a very smart, very brave, noble, generous, passionate guy, and an example to all of us, whether we're facing Parkinson's or not. You cannot help but recognise how amazing it is to have such grace. So he gives me both a physical representation of the disease to inform myself with, but more than that, he allows me to believe that Paul could believe that he could be adequate to the challenge. The truth is that we can't be fucking around with this just to make a joke or anything. Parkinson's is not funny. And I want to get it right. It's necessary to be correct with what we do in respect of the challenge that Parkinson's represents, and that we don't use it for its entertainment value.' Ford has overcome his own difficulties which have affected his acting, crashing his plane on a golf course in 2015 in an accident which was described as near-fatal, in March 2015. ‌ Harrison said: 'Did it have an impact? I suppose it did. I've been through a couple of big accidents that took a while to heal from. This is not something dismissed lightly, but s**t happens; it was a mechanical issue that was judged to be beyond my control. If I'd been at fault, I would have taken another direction. But I don't think it informs my life on a day-to-day basis now that I've recovered sufficiently from the physical effects.' Harrison also spoke about how America has changed and seems less 'banal and safe' with Trump in charge. He said: 'The pendulum doth swing in both directions, and it's on a healthy swing to the right at the moment. And, as nature dictates, it will swing back. ‌ But currently the issue is not who we are, but that we're not who we used to be because we've been purposefully disaggregated into serviceable political units. And that has caused the middle to become frayed and tenuous, and the middle is where we belong. Not because it's banal and safe, but because it's fair. Compromise is fair and honest. 'In politics and in life, you don't always get what you want, but you get what you get and you don't get upset. They teach us that in kindergarten, but they also teach you to fight for what you think is right. Now, because we've been disaggregated in this way, we're having a hard time finding commonality. But if you look at the economy, you'll figure out where the commonality is — it's where it always was: Rich get richer, and poor get poorer. And that ain't exactly right.'
