
How Intelligent Agents Are Reshaping Business Strategy
We've come a long way from Hollywood films portraying AI as robots taking over all electronics and turning against humans.
With the major leaps we've made, especially in the last few years, AI has become a prerequisite for any business looking to gain a significant competitive advantage. Whether it's chatbots fielding customer questions at 3 a.m. or machine learning algorithms analyzing trend data and forecasting, AI is not just a shiny plot twist in an action movie. It's a practical tool in both personal and business use cases.
A 2025 Ascendix report found that 82% of companies in the world are using or exploring AI. This includes 92% of Fortune 500 companies that have already adopted it, and this number will only continue to rise exponentially.
One particular area where many businesses are recognizing AI's value is decision-making—especially data-driven decision-making. We live in an economy where data is the hottest commodity, and due to the sheer amount of inputs companies can harness before making any kind of decision, we must close a big efficiency gap when it comes to using the right insights to call the right shots.
This is where AI agents come in: Custom AI "support" analyzes and formulates insights faster than humans, giving companies a better overview of operations, customers and market trends.
It's easy to fall into the trap of picturing AI agents as lines of code that churn out numbers. In reality, they're extremely nuanced. The smartest AI agents out there use a combination of large language models with custom knowledge or databases to have consistently applicable context, seek out patterns, make intelligent decisions and continuously iterate on the quality of their output along the way.
AI agents can be as invisible or visible as the use case requires them to be. For example, AI powers Netflix's entire recommendation system to make tailor-made content recommendations to users. This system, hidden behind layers of Netflix-branded UI, makes decisions on which shows to recommend based on a variety of data sources, ranging from users' own consumption habits to demographic data and industry trend reports.
At the same time, an AI agent that's a chatbot as a tool is more conversational in the experience it provides—whether it's a marketing executive working on a company's budget allocation for the quarter or a venture fund looking to diversify the portfolio with more data-backed actions.
The case is simple: accuracy, efficiency and speed. AI can streamline large and small decisions, noticing trends inaccessible to the naked (human) eye and making predictions in a fraction of the time.
AI can also increase the speed at which actionable insights are readily available for review. Instead of monthly or quarterly manual reports, AI agents can provide near-real-time data for informing faster decisions, especially in cases of timely pivots to match the pace of the market.
Accenture announced in October 2024 that "the number of companies that have fully modernized, AI-led processes [had] nearly doubled from 9% in 2023 to 16% in 2024." Specifically, these organizations have reported 2.5x higher revenue growth and 2.4x greater productivity compared to other players in their categories.
These types of wins are not reserved for companies with massive budgets. We're at an inflection point where the playing field is evened out. With the pace at which organizations are adopting and embracing AI, smaller companies can also tap into building custom and use case-specific AI agents that can improve internal decision-making and deliver a better customer solution.
Amazon is well-known for its dynamic pricing strategies (sometimes multiple times a day) to adjust to market demand, competitor pricing and user data signals. AI-driven dynamic pricing allows the company to adapt faster than traditional retailers, which means it can capture more sales while maintaining optimal profit margins and continue as a category leader.
On the other side of the spectrum, JPMorgan Chase uses AI to analyze large volumes of transaction data, quickly flagging any unusual or suspicious activities to future-proof the organization's ability to fight fraud and deliver a better experience to their end users.
Even though AI adoption is an inevitability, rolling out company-wide AI modernization initiatives isn't always going to be smooth. The biggest "make-or-break" reason isn't necessarily the tech itself; it's ultimately the decision-makers who need to opt in to start leveraging AI tools for better outcomes.
Some employees will worry about job security, while others will be reluctant to trust a new system they don't fully understand. A few ways to remove friction in the rollout include:
• Education: Provide training sessions, create spaces for open dialogue and show practical ways AI can reduce busywork rather than replace your team's jobs.
• Starting Small: Pick a specific area (e.g., improving sales forecasts) and begin testing AI there with a controlled group of stakeholders. Track the results, share the wins and note any lessons for company-wide visibility.
As teams witness improvements, they're more likely to adopt AI in other areas—as long as they don't see a threat to their job security or position. This gradual approach also allows leaders to refine how data is collected and ensure it meets the standards intelligent agents need.

Google unveils its $1,799 Pixel 10 Pro Fold
At its Made by Google 2025 event, the company unveiled its next foldable, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, alongside the rest of the new Pixel 10 line. The foldable comes with a new gearless hinge, camera improvements, and a Tensor G5 chip to deliver higher quality AI experiences. The device starts at $1,799 and is available in Moonstone and Jade. It features 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The phone's new gearless hinge allows for a larger outer display with smaller bezels, and the hinge is two times more durable than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold's hinge, Google says. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is capable of 10+ years of folding. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold has the largest inner display on a foldable at 8 inches, plus a bigger 6.4-inch outer display thanks to smaller bezels. The 8-inch Super Actual Flex display inside has been re-engineered with resilient ultra-thin glass and dual layers of anti-impact films for added protection against drops. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold has IP68 water and dust resistance for the first time, and its battery can last for up to 30 hours. Additionally, it reaches 50% in 30 minutes. Google also touts that both the inner and outer displays get 11% brighter than its predecessor, with a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. Plus, the phone is the first foldable with Qi2 charging built in, the company says. With Google's new Pixelsnap magnetic technology that's built right into the phone, users can pop the 'Pixelsnap Charger with Stand' onto their phone even when it's unfolded, or prop the phone up with the 'Pixelsnap Ring Stand' for hands-free streaming. With Split Screen, users now have the option to resize their apps beyond the screen boundaries and adjust which app has more space on the screen with a tap. Google says this feature can be used to do things like drag a photo from Google Photos or a link from Chrome directly into Messages. Or, you could plan a trip with friends by comparing flight details in one app and checking hotel availability in another. In addition, there's a new game controller functionality on the outer display that lets users enjoy more immersive gaming in titles like 'Asphalt Legends' and 'Disney Speedstorm.' Google has also optimized streaming on Netflix and Disney+ for immersive streaming on the go. As for the camera, a new Instant View feature lets you review your photos side by side on the unfolded inner screen right as you capture them. Plus, Dual Screen Preview lets everyone see themselves while posing, making it easier to capture the best photo, portrait, or video. The phone features a 48 MP wide camera, a 5x telephoto lens with Super Res Zoom up to 20x, and an ultrawide lens with Macro Focus. The company says this trio of cameras ensures users are always ready to get the perfect shot, whether it's using the rear camera selfie for selfies, getting up close and personal, or zooming way in. Google says The Tensor G5 marks the most significant upgrade to its chip since its debut five years ago, as it's built for the latest advancements in machine learning and AI. It delivers double-digit performance increases, including a TPU that's up to 60% more powerful and a CPU that's 34% faster on average to make web browsing or launching apps more smoothly. Tensor G5 is also the first chip to run Google's newest Gemini Nano model, unlocking over 20 generative AI experiences at launch, including Gemini Live, Magic Cue, and Daily Hub, plus powerful photography features, including Add Me, Best Take, and Camera Coach. Google announces new AI-powered personal health and fitness coach for Fitbit
At its Made by Google event on Wednesday, the company announced a new AI-powered personal health coach built with Gemini that's coming to Fitbit. The tech giant says the new personal health coach is a fitness trainer, sleep coach, and wellness advisor all in one. Google plans to roll out a preview of the personal health coach as part of Fitbit Premium in October in the redesigned app available with the latest Fitbit trackers, Fitbit smart watches, and Pixel Watches. The personal health coach learns your preferences as you share them and also takes your real-time metrics from your Fitbit or Pixel Watch into account. Plus, it can get information from a smart weight scale or glucose monitor. The AI coach will then build a personalized fitness plan with workout suggestions and targets. As you do your workouts, the coach will adjust your workout plans based on real-time data and insights in order to help you meet your goals. For example, if you wake up with a low readiness score because of a night of insomnia, the coach will suggest changes to your weekly plan to help you recover. Google brings improved Gemini features to its new Pixel Buds
Similar to last year, the Made By Google event held on Wednesday showcased numerous Gemini features, including AI photo-taking and editing tools for the Pixel 10 series, along with enhancements for the Pixel Watch 4. So, it was expected that Google would unveil Gemini functionalities for its latest earbuds—the Pixel Buds 2a and a revamped Pixel Buds Pro 2. Some key features showcased at the event include the introduction of active noise cancellation and an AI feature that minimizes background noise for the Pixel Buds 2a. Additionally, the Pro 2 earbuds will receive a major update that allows users to accept or decline calls and messages by shaking or nodding their heads. They come with significant upgrades, making them almost up to par with the original Pixel Buds Pro. As expected, these earbuds feature Gemini hands-free support, but they come with additional perks as well. Now, you can accept or decline calls and texts by simply shaking or nodding your head. The earbuds will detect these gestures using built-in accelerometers and sensors. Plus, when interacting with Gemini, you can now connect with other apps, such as adding items to a grocery list in Keep or scheduling events in Calendar. Other notable features include Adaptive Audio, which automatically adjusts to the noise level around you to reduce distracting sounds in noisy settings while still helping you stay aware of your environment. Additionally, Loud Noise Protection automatically dampens abrupt loud sounds, protecting your hearing from loud noises like the siren of a nearby fire truck. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 retail for $230 and come in a new Moonstone color. However, it's important to note that most of these new features won't be available; they'll be introduced via a software update later in September. All existing Pro 2 users will get the new features.
