HUGE rock album mysteriously disappears from Spotify – and fans are furious
This heavy metal band shot to fame in the mid-nineties and are often known for their politically motivated songs.

Fans have been left fuming after they found that System of the Down 's 2001 album Toxicity is no longer on Spotify.
It has completely disappeared from the music streaming site, and no reason has been given, leaving their followers scratching their heads.
The album's top three songs - Chop Suey!, Toxicity, and Aerials, - are still available, but the Toxicity album artwork is not displaying next to them.
Instead the trio of hits are showing under the compilation album Rock Classico.
The rest of the songs from the famous album aren't on Spotify at all.
Taking to Reddit to discuss, one fan said: "Yeah I don't know what's happening but it's weird!"

System of the Down were formed in California in 1994.
Since 1997, the band has consisted of founding members Serj Tankian (lead vocals, keyboards), Daron Malakian (guitar, vocals), and Shavo Odadjian (bass, backing vocals).

John Dolmayan is on drums, after replacing the original drummer Andy Khachaturian.
Over the years the band have had a huge amount of success.
They have released five studio albums, three of which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200.
System of a Down has also been nominated for four Grammy Awards.

Their song B.Y.O.B. won a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2006.
The band went on a hiatus in 2006 but, much to their fans' delight, they reunited in 2010
Musing over the band's ongoing appeal, lead singer Tankian told The Sun last year: "I think it's a combination of our songwriting.
"I think it's a combination of the fact that no matter how dead serious we might be in one song, the next song could be a hilarious, funny song, or even within the same song.
"There's many moments of jest and we're laughing at ourselves because life is too short.
"I think it makes us very unique and different in how we present our music and who we are. People relate to it, I guess. I don't know. You've got to ask them."

Amazon overhauls Wondery podcast studio, cuts 110 jobs
Aug 4 (Reuters) - (AMZN.O), opens new tab is restructuring the Wondery podcast studio by shifting its award-winning narrative podcasts such as "Business Wars" to Audible and consolidating creator-led shows into a new unit, according to a memo seen by Reuters. About 110 employees will be laid off as part of the process, while many Wondery employees will transition to other parts of Amazon, the company said in an emailed statement on Monday. Wondery CEO Jen Sargent will depart the company following a transition period, the memo said. Intense competition in the expensive podcast industry as well as a growing focus on creator-led video content have prompted audio streaming companies including Spotify (SPOT.N), opens new tab to diversify their podcasts as they look to lower costs and attract more users to their platforms. "As video podcasting has grown in popularity, we have learned that creator-led, video-integrated shows have different audience needs and require distinct discovery, growth and monetization strategies compared to audio-first, narrative series," Steve Boom, vice president of audio, Twitch and games at Amazon, wrote in the memo. Wondery was acquired by Amazon in 2021 and has seen podcast revenue quadruple since then as the studio expanded its slate to include video podcasts and creator-driven series, according to the memo. Under the new structure, Wondery's narrative podcast studio - home to shows such as "Dr. Death" and "American Scandal" - along with the Wondery+ subscription service, will move to Audible, the e-commerce giant's audio platform. Its creator-focused podcast team that produces shows including "Mind the Game", "New Heights", and "Armchair Expert" will join a new Creator Services group within Amazon's Talent Services division. This new team will continue to operate the creator-focused podcast studio under the Wondery brand. "By making these changes, we can better support creators in monetizing their content across multiple channels," Amazon said. Bloomberg News first reported on the Wondery overhaul.

Rod Stewart's 'tacky' AI tribute comes far too soon after Ozzy Osbourne's death
Fans at Sir Rod Stewart's latest gigs were left horrified after an AI video of Ozzy Osbourne meeting dead musicians in heaven was shown on screen. The Prince of Darkness could be seen smiling as he held a selfie stick and posed with the likes of George Michael, Amy Winehouse, and Kurt Cobain. It played as Sir Rod dedicated the track Forever Young to the late Black Sabbath legend, but many felt the AI video was too 'tacky' and simply too soon. Osbourne died aged 76 on July 22 and was laid to rest on July 31, with a procession through his hometown of Birmingham. Days later, on Saturday, August 2, the AI video was splashed across the screen in what one fan described as 'man-made horrors beyond [their] comprehension.' Using artificially generated footage of dead celebrities (and regular people) always proves contentious, but Sir Rod really angered fans with this move. The comments on her Instagram post largely agreed with her, as playattentionnow replied: 'Weekend at Bernie's vibes. Prince didn't even want his music on Spotify and changed his name to a Symbol to protect his intellectual property. 'I'm 100% sure he wouldn't have signed off on Rod Stewart puppeteering his face for this tacky 💩.' Dietcokeconnoisseur added: 'Omfg I was there too and was horrified by this 😂.' 'Good idea: pay tribute to Ozzy and his friends in heaven,' said theroseboy22. 'Bad Idea: Making an AI-generated video with his dead friends/members.' The (somewhat baffling) list included Prince, George Michael, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Tina Turner, Bob Marley, Tupac Shakur, Aaliyah, Michael Jackson and XXXTentacion. 'Those aren't even Ozzy's friends,' criticised jenndependence. 'I doubt he even knew most of those people. That's part of what makes this so cringey, they just threw in any dead celebrity they could think of. Even more bizarre, the video was seemingly taken from a TikTok account called Eternal Stars, the sole purpose of which is to make AI videos of dead people. This wasn't a tribute made by Sir Rod's team, or footage taken from old Osbourne videos (of which there are plenty) or even a personal picture of the pair together. It was made by a random TikTok AI generator with no personal touch at all, plastered on a screen by someone who called Osbourne his 'friend'. The resounding feeling from fans was that this was a huge misstep on a topic that is still incredibly raw for many people. Many are still grieving the death of the icon who invented heavy metal, making Sir Rod's surprising inclusion even more jarring. Only days before, we all watched a heartbroken Sharon Osbourne weeping in her children's arms as she stood at Black Sabbath Bridge to see the thousands of tributes left for her husband. At the time of the Glastonbury Legend's concert, it hadn't even been a full month since Osbourne was last on stage himself for his farewell gig with Black Sabbath. Described as 'frail' by bandmate Geezer Butler, he sat in a chair the entire gig, looking thrilled to perform one final time for the sea of fans. More Trending That's before we even dive into the morality of reanimating dead celebrities, often without their permission, to use their likeness for our own gain. Shockingly, there are no requirements to gain permission to make AI deepfakes of people, so it's unlikely the Osbournes were even aware of the original TikTok. While Sir Rod may not have meant to offend fans, he clearly has. Maybe it's best to quietly drop the AI and use some iconic Osbourne clips instead, at least then he'll be authentically Ozzy.
