A Place In The Sun fans claim host Jasmine Harman 'deserves a medal' after string of infuriating snubs from 'absolutely useless and time-wasting' pair

Daily Mail19-05-2025

A Place In The Sun fans claimed host Jasmine Harman 'deserved a medal' after a string of snubs from a pair of buyers.
Civil servant Lisa, from Liverpool, featured on Thursday's instalment of the Channel 4 show and asked for help finding her dream holiday home in southern Alicante.
She was accompanied by her father, Stephen, during the search and property expert Jasmine presented a range of potential abodes.
Lisa had a budget of £65,000 and explained: 'I absolutely love Spain, I love the lifestyle I love Sundays where everything shuts down, I'm excited.'
She was hoping to find a two-bedroom home that is close to bars and restaurants, not too quiet, is an easy walking distance to places and has access to a communal pool.
However, things took a turn during the episode when Jasmine began showing the pair around properties.
Of the first apartment, which featured a balcony and was priced at £66,000, Stephen commented that the communal pool 'could be a little bit bigger'.
While Lisa said that it had 'potential' and she liked the balcony, she wasn't completely sold due to the size of the flat.
Speaking to the camera, Jasmine commented: 'I have a feeling this house hunt might be trickier than I had initially anticipated.'
The following properties didn't manage to impress either and Stephen felt the second was too small, while Lisa said the third didn't 'excite' her and pointed out the nearby construction work.
In the end, despite being drawn to both the second property and the final one, Lisa decided against making any offers.
However, viewers were not impressed by Lisa and Stephen and felt they were negative at times.
Some posted on X: 'One of the worst timewasters of late. Absolutely useless.';
'That's an hour of our lives we won't get back.';
However, some viewers were not impressed by Lisa and Stephen and felt they were negative at times, while another praised Lisa's 'honesty'
'Well blow me down with a feather, they ain't buying! #aplaceinthesun.';
'Poor poor Jasmine she deserves a medal after putting up with these two. They're definitely just looking for something bad at every property. #aplaceinthesun.';
'Just drop these 2 back at the airport and get the news on #aplaceinthesun.'
While someone else said: 'Love this girl's honesty. #aplaceinthesun.'

Rita Ora puts on a VERY cheeky display in hot pants and tiny bikini as she teases her upcoming single

Rita Ora put on a very cheeky display in tiny hot pants as she continued to tease her upcoming single with a saucy Instagram post on Wednesday. The singer, 34, made sure all eyes were on her as she posed up a storm in the tiny shorts that she paired with a hot pink bikini. Rita layered a white strappy body suit over her diamante swimwear and added inches to her physique with a pair of strappy heeled sandals. To accessorise, the songstress wore a pair of large white Pucci sunglasses and colourful hoop earrings. Alongside her snaps, she penned: 'HEAT MUSIC VIDEO OUT FRIDAY. Join the YouTube premiere at 5PM BST. it's gonna get hoootttt' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Heat is expected to feature on her upcoming, still untitled, fourth album, which will be her first album release since her 2023 You & I. Rita has recently been supporting Kylie Minogue for the first leg of her tour after she previously revealed that Kylie's 2023 mega-hit from Tension, Padam Padam, was nearly given to her. The synth-pop banger - penned by Norwegian singer-songwriter Ina Wroldsen and producer Lostboy - was a viral hit for Kylie. But several artists were asked if they wanted to record it, including the Anywhere singer, because they didn't feel it was a Kylie song. Lostboy told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: 'We wrote Padam in February 2022 and there were maybe four or five months of us sitting on it, then I sent it to their label, and someone suggested to me, "Kylie would kill this."' He added: 'They were unsure and there was a moment when Rita was going to cut it and it was worming around a few artists on that label. 'They were trying to make it work but they didn't think it was for Kylie.' It comes after she kicked off her support gig on the tour in April at Atlanta's State Farm Arena. Rita gushed after her gig: 'First night of the tour, wow the reception was incredible and I'm so grateful for this opportunity to connect with North America. It feels like such a huge compliment to open up for such an icon.' Kylie's Tension Tour will conclude on August 26. She will then head to New York for two shows at Madison Square Garden before stopping for one show at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The star is the highest-selling Australian female artist of all time and the third best-selling in the UK. But she has only now begun to make a name for herself in the US following the success of her viral 2023 hit Padam Padam. In the past Kylie has claimed her failure to catch on stateside didn't phase her and she enjoyed her anonymity there, however, her record label revealed in 2023 that the singer now has her eyes firmly set on cracking the US market.

Exclusive: Guardiola dreams of World Cup glory but has no plans to leave City anytime soon

BARCELONA, June 5 - Pep Guardiola has no plans to leave Manchester City anytime soon but the Spaniard has often thought about what it would be like to guide an international team and says he would love to take on the challenge of a World Cup or Euros campaign. "I would love to be in a World Cup, in a Euro, a Copa America,' Guardiola told Reuters in an exclusive interview. 'I have always thought about it. But it depends on many, many things. If it happens, it's fine. If it doesn't happen, it's more than fine as well." After winning 12 domestic top-flight titles across Spain, Germany and England, Guardiola endured a trophyless campaign with City last season, a shock to the system after so much success. While he came in for some stinging criticism over his elite squad's failure on all fronts, Guardiola said he was not interested in "proving the haters wrong' when City start afresh next season. "It's to prove myself that I can do it, I don't want to have those feeling that last season left' he added. "Because when we win, the wine tastes better afterwards, you sleep better. I don't know a manager who loses games and sleeps like a baby. It doesn't happen. You've got to worry. That's part of our life." Top of Guardiola's 'to-do list' is to win another Champions League with City and should they cross paths once more with Real Madrid, his nemesis Carlo Ancelotti will not be in the opposing dugout after the Italian took charge of Brazil. Mere mention of Ancelotti's departure was enough to put a smile on Guardiola's lips. The pair faced each other five times in the knockout rounds of the Champions League, with the Italian coming out on top in all but one. "I'm so happy for him,' Guardiola said. "But I'm so happy that he's not in Madrid anymore because all the time he beats me. That I don't have to handle it anymore." The Spaniard added that it was unrealistic to expect him to win everything every year, and said that even the most successful athletes lose more than they win. "I won 12 domestic leagues in 16 years. It's not bad, I would say. But you cannot win all the time. I cannot win the Champions League all the time," he added. "Michael Jordan, the best athlete I've ever seen in my life won six NBA Championships in 15 years. Tiger Woods, one incredible golf player, Jack Nicklaus, I don't know how many he has. But they lost more Grand Slams than they won. It happens." Enjoying a short holiday in Barcelona, Guardiola said he is just trying to live a "normal life" before football pulls him back in, with City set to play in the revamped Club World Cup in the United States from June 14 to July 13. 'Wake up later and don't be with the players. Try to live what would be a normal life,' Guardiola said. 'Go to a concert, lay down on the sofa, read books. I can play golf when my body allows me. Watch series that people suggest to me during the season to watch, like I'm not able to do. "And I want to tell you something. Usually, I'm going to do the same things as you do in your life.'
