I absolutely love this OLED TV, as it offers class-leading gaming features and superb HDR highlight brightness for a friendlier price than higher-end OLEDs. Get it while you can.
The LG C5 OLED is the TV I'd buy this week. It's the 2025 model, so it's brand-new, and delivers an incredible performance for the price. Offering a slew of features, like a range of HDR certifications and gaming specs for the PS5 Pro crowd, the C5 proves a major improvement over its predecessor. On the gaming front, you get a 120Hz panel with VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium, and NVIDIA G-Sync support. It comes in 55- and 65-inch size options, but the $800 of savings on the 65-inch model are too good to pass up.
The S90D is one of Samsung's 2024 OLED TVs. The OLED TV features Samsung's new NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, HDR10+/HLG support, 120Hz refresh rate, four HDMI 2.1 ports, and built-in Alexa. It uses a 60Hz refresh rate on Sony's 4K HDR X1 processor, but gamers will enjoy the ALLM support and several PS5-specific features, like Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Game Picture Mode. You also get HDR10/HLG/Dolby Vision support and Google TV.
This Mini-LED TV launched this year, bringing with it several enticing upgrades for gamers. Built on a 165Hz refresh rate with a Game Mode Ultra mode, the Hisense U7QG is designed to be the best seat in the house for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and even your PC. Add to that one serious sound system in its 2.1.2-channel speaker and you've got a powerhouse of a TV with tons of flare.
It's not everyday you see a brand new 2025 model getting a major discount on the heels of its release, but the U8QG is an icon in this regard (and many more). It's bound to be among our favorite gaming TVs this year thanks to its slew of gaming features built on a 165Hz refresh rate. Full disclosure: I've not yet tested the QN70F, one of Samsung's mid-range TVs for 2025. That said, I've seen it up close and personal, and for this price, it's well worth considering. Like the rest of the brand's Neo QLED lineup, the QN70F blends quantum dots and Mini-LED backlighting for a punchy presentation. The QN70F is also packed with gaming features, like four HDMI 2.1-compatible inputs and support for 4K gaming at 120Hz. That's fantastic for the price point.

These running shoes saved my achy knees — they're back in stock and on sale at Amazon
I love running. My knees, on the other hand, they're not always a fan. A few years ago I had a bad bout of runner's knee, which kept me from running for almost a year. When I started running again I switched my running shoes to the Asics Gel Kayano 30. Despite being old (they were released in 2023), they're one of the best running shoes I've ever used. For a limited time, you can get the Asics Gel Kayano 30 on sale for just $99 at Amazon. This is no longer Asics' flagship shoe, so it's hard to find in stock. If you can't find your size, I recommend clicking various colors till you find your size/color combo. Hard to find in stock, the excellent Gel Kayano 30 have been discounted to $99. These running shoes are designed to provide advanced stability and soft cushioning for neutral runners and overpronators alike. I've been using them for over a year and love how they're lightweight yet provide excellent cushioning and support. The women's shoe is also on sale for $96. Now priced at $124, this is the lowest prices we've seen on the Asics Gel-Kayano 31. Although they've been replaced by the newer Gel-Kayano 32, they're still an excellent shoe in Asics' popular stability line. Subtle updates include a more breathable upper and a new outsole material. The men's version is also discounted to $124. I've been using these shoes for almost two years now. (I loved them so much I bought a second pair months after buying my first pair). I find that they're great for casual runs on the treadmill, HIIT sessions, and long distance running outdoors. As an overpronator, I find they're great for runners who prioritize stability and want a smooth, plush ride. If you prefer to "feel the ground" as you run, these shoes probably aren't for you because Asics' PureGEL technology does a great job with shock absorption. Each foot strike is muted by the shoes' layers of foam so it feels as if you're running on clouds. I also like that the shoes are very breathable. They've remained dry even on my 9-mile outdoor runs in New York's hot, humid summers. Additionally, I normally opt for 2E width shoes, and with these Asics I feel the standard width is perfect for me. Along with mobility exercises, dynamic stretching, and working on my core — these running shoes helped me get back into my running routine stronger than before. Equally important, they've helped keep my knees from any injuries. That said, I wouldn't recommend these shoes as your everyday gym shoes. The extra cushioning is too distracting when performing squats or deadlifts. Otherwise, these are my current go-to shoes for stability running.

Billionaire Alice Walton Donates $100,000 to Cuomo Mayoral PAC
Billionaire Walmart Inc. heiress Alice Walton gave $100,000 in recent days to the Super PAC backing former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's campaign for New York City mayor. The donation, dated Aug. 6, is among a handful of six-figure contributions the PAC — Fix the City — has received in recent weeks. It's the latest sign of life in a mayoral campaign many donors and political observers wrote off as moribund in the days after Cuomo's surprising loss in the June Democratic primary election to 33-year-old New York Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist.
