MARCUS RASHFORD endured a journey from hell today - after his trip to Barcelona was almost scuppered by Oasis.
The Manchester United striker had hoped to travel by private jet from Manchester airport on Sunday to Spain ahead of a medical today.

But officials were unable to give him a slot as the Manchester City -loving brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher had taken up all the space.
Liam is believed to have had a private jet on standby at the airport to take him to his home in the south of France after the band's final gig at Manchester's Heaton Park.
Rashford, 27, and his team of advisors were instead forced to drive 80 miles to East Midlands airport instead.
The player was then delayed an hour before boarding a private jet which was due to land shortly after 8pm on Sunday.
He is due to undergo a medical on Monday and all being well, seal a season-long loan deal.
A source said: 'Marcus' travel plans were disrupted so it was all a bit stressful but he would have walked to Barcelona to sign for them.
'Noel and Liam can have a laugh that they accidentally put a spanner in the works.'
The private terminal at Manchester airport is also understood to be busy with Oasis fans from around the world jetting in to enjoy the gigs.
The Sun told in February while Rashford was on loan at Aston Villa how his No 1 target if he was to leave Old Trafford was the Catalan giants.
His team agreed a deal on Thursday that suited both United and Barcelona given the forward would not feature again for United under manager Ruben Amorin.
Barca will cover 100 per cent of Rashford's £325,000-a-week wages to bring the forward to LaLiga and also have an option to buy.
The deal does not allow United to recall the striker.
United will save £15million in wages, which would be vital funds for Amorim to overhaul his squad.
Rashford hopes to travel with Barcelona when the Spanish club departs this week for its pre-season tour of Asia, which begins next Sunday.
The England international spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa after a move to Spain became too complicated in the January window.
He has remained steadfast that he wanted to move to a club playing Champions League football.
Should the move go to plan and Rashford seal a permanent move next summer, it would end his 20-year association with United.
The United academy product scored 138 goals since his debut in 2015 and has made 426 appearances for the club, the last of which came against Viktoria Plzen in December.

England will continue war of words with India in fourth Test, claims Harry Brook - as batting star gives insight into group decision to fight back

Harry Brook has warned India there will be no let up in the verbal barrage when the Test series resumes in Manchester on Thursday. On-field relations between the teams soured when India captain Shubman Gill was at the centre of a foul-mouthed flashpoint during England's 22-run win at Lord's, finger-wagging and swearing at Zak Crawley for using delaying tactics on the third evening. Ben Duckett, Crawley's opening partner, also got caught up in the acrimonious exchange and it was decided back in the dressing room that evening that England would turn up the heat themselves in retaliation. Yorkshire batter Brook said: 'We just thought "we're not standing for that", as a group of 11 players. We had a conversation and said "it's time to not be those nice guys that we have been before".' Ironically, England coach Brendon McCullum had warned his players they were at risk of being too nice following India's resounding win at Edgbaston earlier this month. The subject of on-field aggression was then brought up at the close of the fourth day at Lord's by Brook, who said: 'We were doing it within the spirit of the game. We weren't going out there effing and jeffing at them, being nasty people. We were just going about it in the right manner.' India are not about to back down either. 'What a player needs is sledging. It can disrupt a batter's concentration. If he's too defensive, maybe talking to him makes him try something different,' said fast bowler Mohammed Siraj. It came on the day Gilbert Enoka, the man who created the 'no d***heads' policy for the All Blacks during a spell of more than 300 matches as their mental skills coach, addressed the squad on the outfield. Enoka was drafted in by fellow New Zealander McCullum ahead of the Test win over Zimbabwe earlier this summer and has returned on a four-day consultancy after working with New South Wales's rugby league team in their recent State of Origin success over Queensland. England have made one change as they look to turn a 2-1 advantage into series victory at Emirates Old Trafford, with Hampshire's Liam Dawson ending an eight-year absence by replacing broken finger victim Shoaib Bashir. Gus Atkinson was declared fit following hamstring trouble, but lost out in selection to Chris Woakes, whose 35 Test wickets at 17.37 runs apiece in Manchester saw him retained for a fourth straight match. Meanwhile, India's attack spearhead Jasprit Bumrah appears set to play after going through his bowling drills two days out, having previously hinted he would only feature in three of the five matches.

Man Utd set price for Barcelona to sign Marcus Rashford permanently

Manchester United have set a price for Barcelona to sign Marcus Rashford permanently ahead of his loan move to the La Liga club. Rashford has passed his medical and is set to be presented to the media as a Barcelona player for the first time on Wednesday. The Englishman's loan deal will last for 12 months and includes an option for the Spanish top-flight champions to buy him at the end of the season. According to the BBC, Barcelona must pay United €35m (£30.3m) to transform the loan spell into a permanent transfer in the summer of 2026. Barcelona will cover Rashford's wages during his season-long loan after the 27-year-old forward agreed to take a 25 per cent pay cut. The deal was agreed in principle over the weekend and Rashford has already met his new manager Hansi Flick at Barcelona's training ground. The move means Rashford may've already played his final game for United, following 426 appearances, after progressing through the club's academy. Rashford has spent the last 20 years at Old Trafford – joining the club at the age of seven from Fletcher Moss Rangers. Since Rashford made his debut in 2016, United have won two FA Cups, two Carabao Cups, the Europa League and the Community Shield. Rashford has registered 138 goals and 77 assists for the Red Devils but has struggled for form at United for around two years and was dramatically banished from the first team by Ruben Amorim in December. Rashford was subsequently sent out on loan to fellow Premier League side Aston Villa for the second half of the 2024-25 campaign. There has been speculation over his future ever since – but it was well known that Rashford had his heart set on a dream move to Barcelona. Rio Ferdinand believes Rashford can succeed at Barcelona – but has warned him that he may not start many games for his new club. 'Where's he going to play?' United legend Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel. 'He's got to fight his way into this team. 'A lot of people, including myself, didn't think this opportunity at Barcelona would actually be there for Marcus Rashford, given what he's produced over the last two years. 'He hasn't produced the Marcus Rashford that we first saw running in behind, aggressive runs, finishing things, shooting from crazy angles, assisting goals etc. 'His game has changed, wanting to dribble with the ball more. But what made him hard to play against that he was willing to run behind. He's magic at that when he gets that right and when he's consistent with that. 'He could be that difference for this Barcelona team. Raphinha doesn't mind running in behind, but he does like it to feet. Lamine Yamal would rather get it to feet and dribble. And Lewandowski is not someone who can run in behind as much anymore. He's more of a target man, great finisher.'
