Vignesh Shivan called Salt Bae a 'sweet host' and praised him for making 'everyone around happy.'
Vignesh Shivan, the South film director and husband of actress Nayanthara, seemingly celebrated Easter in Dubai. Taking to his Instagram account on Tuesday, April 22, the Paava Kadhaigal director revealed that he had met with one of the world's most celebrated chefs, Nusret Gokce, also known as Salt Bae. The latter owns a chain of luxury steakhouses named Nusr-Et and Vignesh happened to visit the one in Dubai.
In the reel which the filmmaker shared, Salt Bae could be seen showcasing his striking cutting skills while Vignesh curiously watched him do so. After the chef had finely cut the steak, he placed the pieces on a hot sizzler plate. Following this, Salt Bae, who is most popular for his unique way of sprinkling salt, asked Vignesh to imitate his way. Once the 39-year-old director was done showcasing his amatuer skills, Salt Bae took over and flaunted his signature style of sprinkling salt.
The two even shared a fist bump towards the end of the reel. In the caption, Vignesh wrote, 'Love the style of @nusr_et, the energy, the amazing food. Thank you for being a sweet host and making everyone around happy #HappyEaster." The Naanum Rowdy Dhaan director set the reel to one of Pushpa's BGM mixes and turned off the comment section of the post.

Siddharth Nigam's mother reveals he was replaced by Ajay Devgn's nephew Aaman Devgan in Azaad with Rasha Thadani: 'Both of them were star kids...'

Siddharth Nigam, an outsider in Bollywood, faced disappointment when he was replaced in the film *Azaad* by star kids Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani. Despite initial consideration and script narration, Nigam waited two years only to discover the film proceeded with the newcomers. While acknowledging the industry's realities, Nigam focused on moving forward after the emotional setback. In an industry where star power often outweighs merit, the struggles of outsiders continue to echo. Actor Siddharth Nigam's journey is the latest reminder. His mother has now revealed that Siddharth was originally in line to debut in Azaad—until he was replaced by star kids Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani . In conversation with Instant Bollywood, Siddharth's mother opened up about the challenges of being an outsider in the film industry, highlighting a personal experience with Azaad. She shared that Siddharth was initially considered for the film and even had the script narrated to him. However, after waiting for nearly two years, they discovered through a poster that the movie had been made—with Ajay Devgn 's nephew Aaman Devgan and Raveena Tandon's daughter Rasha Thadani in the lead. She admitted it was a tough moment, especially as a mother, and felt the final casting decision may have been influenced by the star lineage of the newcomers. Siddharth also reflected on the situation, acknowledging the realities of the industry. Without placing blame, he shared that it's part of the business, and those involved likely had their own reasons for the decision. For him, it was more about the emotional toll—waiting with hope for a year, only to find out through the teaser that someone else had been cast. In the end, he said, it became a moment of quiet acceptance and simply moving on. The period action drama, directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor, marked the debut of Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani, starring alongside Ajay Devgn and Diana Penty. Despite the high-profile cast and production, the film opened to mixed-to-negative reviews and failed to make a mark at the box office, earning just Rs 8 crore worldwide. Language row: Kamal Haasan refuses apology, holds film's release in K'taka

Tamil Nadu actor and politician Kamal Haasan has refused to apologise for his comment that the Kannada language was "born out of Tamil", despite the Karnataka High Court also criticising him for the comment. He has also decided not to release his film 'Thug Life' in Karnataka as of now. The film is scheduled to premiere nationwide on Thursday, but faces calls for its ban in Karnataka over Kamal Haasan's comments. The actor had approached the HC seeking directions to prevent any obstruction to the film's release in the state. The controversy arose after Kamal Haasan's statement at an event in Chennai before the launch of 'Thug Life,' claiming Kannada originated from Tamil. The remark attracted almost instantaneous criticism from political parties, including the BJP in Karnataka and AIADMK in Tamil Nadu. Karnataka BJP chief V Yediyurappa accused Kamal Haasan of insulting the Kannada language. During Tuesday's court hearing, senior advocate Dhyan Chinnappa, representing Kamal Haasan, stated "...the utmost respect for Kannada and nothing more needs to be said..." but did not issue an apology as requested by the court. Chinnappa also withdrew a petition seeking security at Karnataka theatres. The court responded by saying the refusal to apologise appeared to be due to ego. "If it is a reply of apology, we will take it. There is no apology in it. You may be Kamal Haasan or anybody, you cannot hurt the sentiments of the masses,' the HC bench said. The court suggested that if Kamal Haasan apologises, the issue could be resolved. Kamal Haasan had earlier said he would apologise if he believed his remarks were incorrect. The next hearing is set for June 10. Earlier, the court warned Kamal Haasan against misusing his right to free speech. The court stated that while free speech is a right, it does not extend to hurting public sentiments. The court urged the actor to apologise if his comments caused offence. The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) had declared that 'Thug Life' would not be released in Karnataka without an apology from Kamal Haasan. KFCC President M Narasimhulu said Kamal Haasan maintained he had done nothing wrong and would not apologise, which would prevent the film's release.
