A group of masked thieves smashed into a California toy store in the dead of night and stole $30,000 worth of Labubu dolls, ignoring cash and electronics only to grab the viral collectibles, the store's owner said.

The break-in happened around 1.30 am Wednesday at One Stop Sales in La Puente, where four thieves allegedly shattered a glass door before heading straight for the viral monster dolls, co-owner Joanna Avendano said.
'We worked so hard to get to this point, and for them to just come in and, like nothing, take it all away, it's really bad,' she told ABC 7, as quoted by The New York Post.
The Labubu dolls, a cross between a Cabbage Patch Doll and a Gremlin with bunny ears, were created by illustrator Kasing Lung and have become a TikTok fashion craze, with celebrities like Rihanna and Dua Lipa among their fans.
Typically selling for up to $500 each, one recently fetched more than $100,000.
Avendano believes the store, which opened just two months ago, may have been targeted after she announced a restock on social media. She recalled spotting a truck parked nearby before closing Tuesday night, later receiving a motion alert.
'[I got] a gut feeling to check my phone,' she said. 'Once I checked my phone, I saw there was motion, a sound that was coming through the front.'
Surveillance footage showed the suspects bypassing the till and electronics, making a beeline for the dolls. The store posted on their Instagram handle, 'Today we got robbed and they took all of our inventory, trashed our store, we are still in shock. If you guys can share this post, please and help us find these thief's [sic].'
The Los Angeles county sheriff's department city of industry station is investigating the burglary.

Allegations from Victoria Canal Earlier this month, singer-songwriter Victoria Canal shared a post on Instagram alleging that she had been sexually abused and groomed by an unnamed 'very powerful' man in the music industry when she was 19. 'This is something I've never spoken about publicly, and have been holding for 8 years now – it has plagued my body, spirit, and mind, in subliminal and overt ways, for my entire 20s,' Canal wrote on August 11. She described being contacted by a much older man who 'plucked me out of the internet, and college, and invited me on my first professional opportunity.' Canal said she chose not to name the individual 'because I can't risk the financial loss or emotional terror a lawsuit would bring." Although Canal did not name Franti in her post, online speculation and fan comments pointed to him, noting that he had invited her to collaborate in Nashville in 2018 when she was 19. ‘Zombie' cats swarm Los Angeles neighbourhood as residents hear 'eerie night scratches, door knocks'

Residents in Inglewood, Los Angeles, claim that dozens of stray cats are haunting their streets at night, scratching at doors and behaving in ways that some describe as unsettling. A Los Angeles neighbourhood was overrun by stray 'zombie' cats, disturbing residents at night.(Representational image/Pixabay) (Also read: Indian man's video shows 'zombie-like people' in San Francisco street: 'Most unsafe place I've been to') According to a report by the New York Post, locals say the cats appear in large numbers, prowling the neighbourhood like a scene from a horror film. 'I would call it a cat, some type of zombie thing that's going on,' Inglewood resident Dennis Gary told ABC 7, explaining he has counted more than a hundred cats roaming the area after dark. Night-time disturbances Gary recalled one particularly unnerving encounter. 'It was 1 o'clock in the morning, and I'm hearing scratches, and I'm wondering, 'What is this?' So I open the door, and the cats just scatter like roaches.' He noted that many of the animals seem unafraid of people, leaping through gardens and darting across yards without hesitation. Another neighbour, Bruce Brown, shared similar frustrations. 'It's a nuisance because they run around through the neighbourhood and behind your house and everything,' he told the local station. Overfeeding may have attracted strays Some residents suspect the influx of cats began after someone in the neighbourhood started overfeeding the animals, unintentionally drawing more strays into the area. What started as a handful of cats has now grown into a swarm that locals say is overwhelming their streets. Coyotes follow the trail The surge in strays has reportedly had a dangerous consequence. Residents say the abundance of cats has attracted coyotes into the neighbourhood, sparking fears for both pets and people. During an ABC 7 visit, the remains of one cat were discovered, while home surveillance cameras captured coyotes preying on the strays. As the New York Post noted, coyotes are not unusual in Los Angeles suburbs, often scavenging through rubbish or hunting small animals at night.
