Wife 'decapitated by husband who then carried her head to police station'

A horrific incident has occurred in India where a man allegedly decapitated his wife and then presented her severed head to the police.
Shankar, 28, from Hennagara near Bengaluru, is accused of committing the gruesome act after he reportedly found his wife in a compromising position with another man at their rented home. Local police sources have described the couple as having a "loving marriage" before they moved to the area recently.
On June 3, Shankar is said to have gone to work and returned late to find his spouse allegedly with another man. Following an alleged attack on both parties, he is claimed to have beheaded his wife and then turned himself in at the Suryanagar Police Station.
There are reports suggesting the couple was experiencing marital problems. The wife had reportedly expressed a wish to separate but still visited the house frequently, leading to ongoing disputes, neighbours say.
The final argument on Thursday is reported to have escalated, culminating in the tragic killing, reports the Mirror.
After the deed, Shankar is said to have ridden his motorcycle to the local police station with his wife's severed head and gave himself up to the authorities. Suryanagar police are conducting an inquiry into the matter, with more information to be released in time.
Following a gruesome event in South Dakota, US, 34-year-old Bowen Fladland is accused of decapitating his 70-year-old mother, Marlene Fladland, and burying her remains in the front garden of his residence.
He faces charges of first-degree and second-degree murder earlier this month. Police discovered the victim's body on July 8, although investigators suspect she met her untimely death at least three days prior.
In another shocking case, it has come to light that a cocaine-addled Scottish postman beheaded his girlfriend after lamenting that her waitress shifts left him feeling "lonely."
Ewan Methven brutally murdered 21-year-old Phoenix Spencer-Horn in her East Kilbride home, using three knives to stab her 20 times.
The High Court in Glasgow was informed that Methven viciously attacked his partner, severing her head and attempting to dismember her limbs and torso.
During a call to emergency services, he confessed to the operator that he had been "trying to muster up the courage to phone" following the incident, claiming he "totally blacked out through the thing."
The 27 year old awaits sentencing this month.

Conor McGregor lists €17,500 wine on Dublin menu as price of own stout leaked

Conor McGregor's Dublin pub is selling bottles of wine for a whopping €17,500 while the price of his own-brand stout has been unveiled. The Dubliner has invested millions in acquiring and renovating the Crumlin boozer, but it has listed the upmarket Petrus 2005 red wine for a mouthwatering €17,500. In figures first revealed by the Sunday World, McGregor's pub lists bottles of wine ranging from €32 up to €690 before the big gap to the €17,500 price figure, while bottles of champagne are priced between €150 and €780. A quick Google search shows that the Petrus 2005 sells on the open market for around €5,000. The Petrus 2005 retails at around €5,000 The tabloid also says that McGregor sells his own brand Forged Irish Stout for €6 while a Guinness is €6.50 and lagers are €7.30. McGregor found himself back in the news after three Judges of the Court of Appeal upheld a finding by a jury that he assaulted Ms Hand - whereby they agreed that he raped her in the Beacon Hotel in south Dublin in December 2018. McGregor has been ordered to pay Ms Hand over €2m in legal costs. Those costs are set to be paid to Nikita as is the balance of a €250,000 in damages awarded to her by the jury at the end of the High Court case last November. The Irish Mirror understands that Ms Hand is suing McGregor - as well as couple Samantha O'Reilly and Stephen Cummins, who were spectacularly withdrawn as witnesses at the final moment of the fighter's appeal. In a comment to the Irish Mirror, Nikita's solicitors stated: "We confirm that further proceedings have been issued in the High Court and a Statement of claims has been prepared and will be served imminently." The Irish Mirror understands the case against McGregor, Ms O'Reilly and Stephen Cummins are for damages for malicious abuse of the process of the court by the Defendants, and each of them, their respective servants and/or agents. She is suing for aggravated and punitive damages as well as costs.
