Pilot wins $2.5M jet after completing 100-day isolation challenge in MrBeast's latest YouTube stunt

Express Tribune20-07-2025
Pilot Armando spent 100 days isolated inside a $2.5 million private jet for a MrBeast challenge—but turned down an additional $500,000 to double that time.
Despite winning the jet, he now faces the likelihood of having to sell it due to the high costs of maintenance and storage.
The challenge included a series of optional rewards and sacrifices. Armando forfeited a $50,000 prize for access to an outdoor gym and declined a Lamborghini in exchange for a bed. While he did win $50,000 for participating in a DoorDash-themed flight segment, that was the only cash he walked away with.
On day 90, MrBeast offered Armando $500,000 to extend the isolation for another 100 days. Though tempted, the pilot chose not to continue, citing the emotional toll of being away from his family and the difficulty of living without meaningful contact.
'Getting another half a million dollars for another hundred days, I could actually keep the jet for longer than a couple months and fly it to all the places I want to go,' Armando said. Ultimately, he prioritised reuniting with his family over holding onto the aircraft.
Though the jet is valued at $2.5 million, it may not sell for its full market value. Costs for storage, operation, and upkeep will make holding onto it financially difficult. It's unclear whether Armando was paid separately for flying MrBeast and his team during filming.
With no additional income disclosed, selling the jet appears inevitable.

LaMelo Ball's tattoo artist breaks silence after ‘Hot Chee Toes' tattoo goes viral

LaMelo Ball became the centre of online chatter after images surfaced suggesting the Charlotte Hornets star had tattooed 'Hot Chee Toes' across his foot. The fiery, Cheetos-themed design sparked both humour and disbelief, with fans flooding social media with reactions. However, Ball's tattoo artist Elvis Ramos has now confirmed that the tattoo was not real. Speaking in an Instagram video, Ramos explained the origin of the viral image and clarified that the foot in question did not belong to Ball. 'We tattooed LaMelo Ball. But those 'Hot Chee Toes'—those were not on Melo. We were just trolling,' Ramos said. 'The original artist is actually from California as well, but no, we didn't do that on Melo.' The prank had fooled thousands online, with some fans criticising Ball's supposed decision and others applauding the bold move. Reactions ranged from 'This can't be real' to 'Bro didn't break ankles, he toasted them.' Ramos added, 'We did do a leg sleeve on Melo, and we'll be posting that soon. But yeah, we were just trolling, man. The internet is crazy, bro.' Despite the joke, Ball remains known for his distinctive tattoo choices. His previous back piece took 18 hours and six artists to complete and reads 'Rare One,' reflecting his confident persona on and off the court. The Hornets, who struggled last season without Ball following a season-ending injury, are hopeful for a turnaround. Ball averaged 25.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 7.4 assists before his absence.

MrBeast to launch 2D animated series ‘MrBeast Lab' in October 2025

MrBeast has confirmed the upcoming release of a 2D animated series titled MrBeast Lab, scheduled to premiere in October 2025. Known for his dominant presence on YouTube and his recent ventures into streaming with Amazon Prime's Beast Games, the content creator continues to expand into new entertainment formats. The new cartoon series is tied to MrBeast's existing toy brand, MrBeast Lab, and will serve as a narrative extension of the product line. Speaking on the project, MrBeast said he has been working on the series for a long time. The show will feature a 100-storey laboratory setting in which he travels through each level, encountering experiments and facing off against shadow monsters. Although MrBeast does not possess superpowers in the show, the action is driven by various creatures he has created. One of the key characters resembles the design of his signature logo, and the series trailer showcases a high level of animation quality. MrBeast Lab takes inspiration from early 2000s Saturday morning cartoons and is primarily targeted at children. The show is also intended to reinforce awareness of the MrBeast Lab toy line, which features collectable monsters, some of which are limited edition and highly sought after by young fans. Further details, including the episode count and platform distribution, have not been disclosed. It is not yet confirmed whether the series will be released on YouTube or a streaming platform. MrBeast Lab is expected to premiere in October 2025.
