Yahoo01-04-2025
Three teenagers have been arrested after two boys, both aged 15, were stabbed in a park.
Lancashire Police said a 14-year-old boy had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and affray, while a 15-year-old boy had been detained on suspicion of wounding and affray. The force said a third boy, also 15, had been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The alleged assaults happened at about 16:00 BST on Monday, near Moor Park on Blackpool Road in Preston.
One of the injured boys is in a serious but stable condition while the others' injuries are "less serious", said a force spokesman.
Police said the three suspects, who are all from Preston, remained in custody.
Det Ch Insp Sean Kelly-Martland said: "This incident has left a young man with some very significant injuries.
"While we have now made a number of arrests as part of our investigation, I would continue to appeal to anyone who may have seen what happened - or who has any information or footage which may assist us - to get in touch."
He added: "We are particularly interested in seeing any dashcam or CCTV footage of Blackpool Road and Moor Park Avenue between 3.30pm and 4.15pm."
He said patrols had been increased in the area.

Tell Us About Confronting Your Cheating Ex

Finding out your partner is cheating on you is absolutely devastating, no matter how long you've been together or how you discovered their infidelity. No one can really predict how they'll act in a situation like that. Unfortunately, it takes being thrown to the wolves to learn your preferred style of confrontation. Maybe you searched your partner's phone on a whim after months of feeling uneasy and like you two were growing apart. You found a text thread with their coworker and quickly realized they were having an affair. You texted yourself screenshots, printed them out, and taped them all over your house before they got home from work one night. The look on their face was priceless. Perhaps you got an infamous "hey girlie" DM from a woman who'd been dating your husband for months. She didn't know you existed until your husband got a little sloppy keeping his stories straight, then she did some sleuthing and found you on Facebook. She texted him to meet her for drinks one night, and when he walked in, the two of you were sitting at the bar together. Or, maybe your friend sent you a screenshot of your partner on Tinder. You didn't have the energy to have a conversation with them and hear their excuses, so you simply texted them the screenshot with the message, "Hope you get lots of matches!" and blocked them on everything. How did you confront your cheating ex? Tell us in the comments or share anonymously using this form for a chance to be featured in a BuzzFeed Community post.

Significant resources deployed in Wyoming hunt for hiker who disappeared in 'unforgiving' Bighorn Mountains

Significant resources have been deployed amid the search effort for Grant Gardner, according to an Aug. 11 post on the Big Horn County Wyoming Sheriff's Office Facebook page about the Minnesota man who went missing while hiking in Wyoming and has not been heard from in more than two weeks. "Since our last update considerable resources and man power have been deployed in the search for Grant Gardner," Sheriff Ken Blackburn noted in the post, noting that the effort "has been very active." "To illustrate what is being done to search, the following is a partial list of assets and personnel who are currently, or have been working directly on this search," the post notes, before going on to list various resources, such as "Drones with cameras, capable of identifying colors and minute disturbances," "Drones, helicopters, and planes with FLIR capabilities," "Multiple dog tracking teams," "Horse and foot teams," "Wyoming National Guard," "Private pilots," and more. The post on Monday — which was the latest update on the Facebook page — described the area as "unforgiving," and noted, "The Cloud Peak Wilderness is deceptively expansive, remote, and snow is starting to fall at higher elevations above 10,000 feet. Very thorough searches of these areas have been performed. Mr. Gardner could plausibly be in several areas and routes, all of which have been extensively searched." Fox News Digital reached out to the sheriff's office to request comment on Thursday. The last contact from Gardner was more than two weeks ago, on July 29, when he informed his wife that he had reached the summit of Cloud Peak, according to an Aug. 4 Facebook post from the sheriff's office. "On August 1, 2025 the Big Horn County Sheriff's Office received information regarding an over due hiker in the Cloud Peak Wilderness area, and immediately began a search and rescue operation," the post noted. "Grant Gardner of Minnesota had planned on an approximate three day hike through the Misty Moon Lake area, eventually summiting Cloud Peak, and returning to his vehicle completing his journey. Gardner made contact with his wife on the evening of July 29, 2025 letting her know he'd made it to the summit. Since that time there has not been any contact with Gardner," the post stated. "A text sent to his wife at the summit indicated the climb was more taxing than he expected and he was tired." Gardner and his wife Lauren have two children, according to Cowboy State Daily. "He solo hikes, and he's been hiking for over a decade," she told the outlet. "He's used to this stuff, and he's very detail-oriented." A GoFundMe fundraiser to benefit the family has raised more than $34,000 so far.

Pregnant Massachusetts teen Kylee Monteiro missing after argument with boyfriend

An 18-year-old recent Massachusetts high school graduate, who is about three months pregnant, disappeared after an argument with her boyfriend. Kylee Monteiro, 18, was last seen on Aug. 7 near County Street in Rehoboth — about 50 miles from Boston, according to The Rehoboth Police Department. Faith Monteiro / Facebook 'The last known time when we heard her voice was Wednesday night,' Monteiro's sister, Faith, told the outlet. A friend of Monteiro's also expressed concern for her well-being, saying her last contact felt unsettling. 'She was like 'I don't feel safe right now something's not right.' I tried talking with her after that, and she just stopped responding to me after that,' the friend, who was not identified, told WCVB 5. 'I just want her to know that like, we miss you, and we're not going to stop trying to find you.' Monteiro is 6'0, with light brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen in a red 'Get Over it' T-shirt, ripped blue jeans, and carrying a white bag. Her disappearance comes two months after she graduated from Attleboro High School. 4 The teen is 11 weeks pregnant, her family said. Kylee Monteiro / Facebook 4 Monteiro's family said they last heard from her through a text message on the day she disappeared, and they feared for her safety. Faith Monteiro / Facebook The Rehoboth Police Department launched an extensive search for the teen, using K9s, helicopters, drones, ATVs, and divers in nearby bodies of water, WJAR reported. Faith said police are thoroughly investigating her sister's disappearance. Monteiro's other sister, Catherine, said she is usually very active on social media, 'especially on TikTok and Snapchat,' but since vanishing, 'absolutely nothing' has appeared on her accounts. 4 The Rehoboth Police Department launched an extensive search for the teen. WCVB 'The smallest detail is important and if there are hundreds of people going through the woods, they might not find it,' Catherine pleaded with the public. 'There's so many scenarios that have gone through all of our heads, so many theories that everybody has, it's all skepticism at this point. We don't know what happened to her but we're not giving up hope,' Faith said.
