In the video, Mr Nishad is seen barefoot with his trousers folded up to his shins. He walks down the steps of his house carrying a metal vessel filled with milk, He is heard saying, " Jai Ganga Maiya ki, main dhann ho gaya ki aap mere darbar pe aashirwad dene aaye. Jai Ganga Maiya. (Hail Mother Ganga. I feel blessed that you have come to my doorstep to bless me. Hail Mother Ganga.)"
He then sprinkles flowers on the floodwater and pours the milk into it, performing what is known in Hindu tradition as abhishek (ritual offering). The nameplate at his home reads "Nishad Raj Bhavan, Mori, Daraganj, Prayagraj," along with his official designation as "Sub-Inspector Chandradeep Nishad, Uttar Pradesh Police."
In another video, he is seen out of uniform, taking a dip in the floodwater that had entered his home.
The act took place before he left for duty.

Rains have severely impacted Prayagraj. Over 61 wards are affected, and around 1,400 people from 339 families have been moved to safer places. Nearly 4,000 people are staying in 14 relief camps set up by the administration. Areas like Daraganj, Rajapur, Salori, and Sadar are among the worst hit. Boats have been deployed for rescue, and food and medical supplies are being distributed.
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has formed "Team-11" to manage flood relief in 12 districts. Minister Nand Gopal Gupta is overseeing efforts in Prayagraj. People are advised to stay alert and follow safety instructions.

Teen's death after questioning at police stn: Murder charges against 5 cops
Agra: An FIR was filed under BNS section of "murder" against two named and three unnamed UP cops after a 17-year-old boy allegedly died hours after visiting Nidholi Kalan police station in Chandra Bhanpur village of Etah district on Saturday morning. The teenager, Satyaveer Singh, was found dead with injury marks on his body, including his private parts, after he returned from the thana, where he had been called for questioning about the "disappearance of a girl of the same age". While senior police officers said Singh died by suicide, his family alleged he was tortured and held in illegal custody. Based on the complaint of Singh's father, Mohar Singh, a case was registered against five officers of Nidholi Kalan thana, including sub-inspectors Surendra Singh and Asif Ali, under BNS section 103 (1) (murder) late on Saturday. In the FIR, the teen's father stated, "The two SIs and their team mercilessly thrashed my son. They then left my son near our village, where on the morning of Aug 2, he was found dead." The family also alleged that the cops tortured Singh at the police station, and when his condition deteriorated, they left him 500m away from their village, where he died of his injuries. "The cops made the two of us sit outside. Then we heard Satyaveer crying; the cops were thrashing him inside. Around 5am on Aug 2, we found his body on the village outskirts with deep injury marks all over... My son had on July 31 returned home from Nashik in Maharashtra, where he was in a private job," Mohar Singh told TOI. The teen's brother Yogendra added his sibling had no involvement in the girl's disappearance and his name was not even mentioned in the FIR. Singh's autopsy report has been submitted to Etah administration and the details are yet to be revealed, the family said. SSP Etah, Shyam Narayan Singh, meanwhile, said, "Five policemen, including two SIs Surendra Singh and Asif Ali, have been attached to police lines. DSP Gyanendra Pratap Singh is probing the case. We'll take strict action if the probe findings reveal any negligence by the cops." Yogi warns of NSA, Gangster Act for illegal drone use, spreading rumours
Agra: UP CM Yogi Adityanath has warned that individuals operating drones without official permission or spreading rumours and misinformation about them to create panic will be prosecuted under the Gangster Act, and in serious cases, the National Security Act (NSA) will also be invoked. He instructed senior officials to step up district-wise drone surveillance, strengthen patrolling, and ensure all violations are dealt with firmly. The directive comes amid a series of mob attacks triggered by false claims of thieves using drones to scout homes they target in western UP. During a review meeting with senior police officers, Yogi said that unauthorised use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was banned in the state and any misuse would attract legal action. He added that drone misuse would not be tolerated. "Anyone using drones illegally or for creating panic will not be spared. If required, the NSA will be used," the CM said. The 'misinformation' about drones has triggered community-led patrolling, physical assaults, and mob action against mentally disabled persons and outsiders mistaken for gang members. Sensing public disorder, UP police have already launched night patrols from 11pm to 3am in some areas, along with awareness campaigns with village heads, and created a "drone register" to identify legitimate operators. Police further clarified that drone use at night has been barred completely to prevent chaos and panic. There have also been several arrests of "drone rumour suspects" in Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Ghaziabad and Bareilly, along with some of those involved in "mob attacks". In the latest such case in Muzaffarnagar, three persons were held for allegedly using pigeons fitted with LED lights -- in the night sky -- to mimic drone activity and purportedly spread fear. On Saturday night, a 55-year-old mentally challenged person roaming in a village in the district was targeted by locals. Three men were later arrested. SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma said six people have been arrested in the district so far for spreading "drone thief" rumours. In Meerut, eight people were arrested on Saturday. Students Fall Ill After Karnataka School Water Poisoned To Remove Muslim Headmaster; 3 Held

The act was reportedly carried out with the intent to frame the school's Muslim headmaster and push for his transfer. According to the police, the accused include Sagar Patil, the taluk president of Shriram Sena, a right-wing Hindu group. Patil and two others allegedly contaminated the water source used by schoolchildren. The motive was rooted in religious bias and an effort to create communal tension in the area, the police said. The incident came to light about two weeks ago, when several children reportedly fell ill after consuming the contaminated water.
