Billie Eilish teases 'special' collaboration with James Cameron
The What Was I Made For? hitmaker explained to fans at her show at Co-op Live in Manchester, north England on Saturday (19.07.25) that the evening was being filmed for her mystery collaboration with the Avatar filmmaker.
She said on stage: 'So you may have noticed there's like more cameras than usual.
'Basically I can't say much about it, but what I can say is that I'm working on something very, very special with James Cameron.'
While Billie declined to offer any specific details, she did confirm the project "is gonna be in 3D".
James was in attendance at the concert, and Billie suggested filming will continue during her other three shows at the venue.
She added: "You and me are part of the thing that I'm making with him. Also, I'll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row.'
Earlier this year, Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande have revealed they hope to collaborate on music when the Bad Guy hitmaker interviewed the 31-year-old star about her film Wicked at a screening of the blockbuster musical in Los Angeles.
Towards the end of the Q+A, Ariana told Billie they need to hit the studio together.
Billie accidentally said: 'OK, a few more songs. And then we go, because we're only allowed a few more songs. Did I say songs? Oh my God. I meant questions. I'm on tour, you guys. I'm used to saying that. Sorry.'
Prompting Ariana to respond: 'We do need to do that, though."
Billie agreed: 'I would love to do that."
Ariana explained that Billie was at the top of her wish-list to join her on the sofa for the chat, but she didn't expect her to be able to do it due to her hectic schedule, so she was 'so nervous'.
She said: 'My team was like: Who would be a cool person to do this? Who's your dream person?
'I was like, Billie, [but] she's not gonna say yes. She's too busy. She's too fabulous. It's too much. But she said yes, and I was like, 'Oh, s***.' Now I'm so nervous.'

Jeff Lynne 'gutted' to cancel final shows
Jeff Lynne was "absolutely gutted" to cancel Electric Light Orchestra's (ELO) final shows. The Mr. Blue Sky group had been due to end their Over And Out farewell tour at BST Hyde Park in London last weekend but the show, as well as the penultimate performance in Manchester three days before, was axed after the 77-year-old singer contracted a "systemic infection". Jeff has now spoken out for the first time since the cancellation and thanked fans for their support. He said in a statement: "I am now at home recuperating. 'I was absolutely gutted to have to cancel the final two shows. 'I send my heartfelt thanks to all of the fans as well as my band and crew for all their support and love.' It was announced last Saturday (12.07.25) that ELO's London show would be unable to take place the following evening. A statement read: "Jeff Lynne is heartbroken to report that he will not be able to perform at tomorrow's BST Hyde Park show. "Jeff has been battling a systemic infection and is currently in the care of a team of doctors who have advised him that performing is simply not possible at this time nor will he be able to reschedule. The legacy of the band and his longtime fans are foremost in Jeff's mind today - and while he is so sorry that he cannot perform, he knows that he must focus on his health and rehabilitation at this time." ELO had been forced to cancel their gig at Manchester's Co-Op Live on Thursday (10.07.25) just minutes before taking to the stage, which had sparked fears that the Hyde Park farewell might not take place. A statement on the band's social media accounts confirmed: "Unfortunately, due to illness, tonight's scheduled performance of Jeff Lynne's ELO at the Co-Op Live will not be going ahead. "Jeff is devastated he cannot perform this evening. More information will become available as soon as possible. For refunds, please go to your point of purchase." The singer had previously discussed how it was fitting to be performing ELO's final show at Hyde Park, as it was where the Evil Woman band returned to the stage after a 25-year absence in 2014. Jeff said: "My return to touring began at Hyde Park in 2014. "It seems like the perfect place to do our final show. We couldn't be more excited to share this special night in London with our UK fans.
