PathPresenter Introduces ConsultConnect, a Zero Footprint Web Portal for Remote Second Opinions
AWS-powered solution enables institutions to scale their pathology remote second opinion programs globally
MONTVILLE, NJ / ACCESS Newswire / March 20, 2025 / PathPresenter, a leader in digital pathology workflow software, is pleased to announce ConsultConnect, a new solution for digital pathology consultations and remote second opinions. Built by pathologists and powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), ConsultConnect aims to provide leading institutions with the fastest, easiest, and most cost-effective way to scale their remote second opinion programs globally.
Designed for institutions with significant subspecialty expertise, ConsultConnect addresses the two major barriers to adoption in digital pathology: budgeting and long implementation/integration times. First, ConsultConnect has no upfront implementation fees or subscription fees. Instead, there is a minimal annual commitment and simple 'per-consult' pricing. Second, ConsultConnect offers a highly streamlined and simplified onboarding process, allowing institutions to get up and running with their cloud-based solution in days instead of months.
'Digital pathology has long been viewed by institutions as an expense rather than an opportunity. At PathPresenter, we aim to shift that perspective by transforming digital pathology into a profit center while expanding institutions' global reach,' said Dr. Rajendra Singh, PathPresenter co-founder. 'With AWS's reliable infrastructure and PathPresenter's expertise, we empower our customers to bridge the gaps in their workflows, making digital pathology a seamless, scalable, and cost-effective solution.'
ConsultConnect features all the tools required by pathologists and institution administrators to deliver remote second opinion services to referring hospitals globally. Core to the platform is a user-friendly, scanner-agnostic image viewer for pathologists to receive, view, and sign out remote second opinion cases. For administrators, the portal provides tools to easily onboard and manage referring hospitals and incoming cases. The zero-footprint platform is monitored 24/7 by industry-leading security and compliance vendor Vanta for HIPAA compliance.
ConsultConnect has been optimized to run on AWS by PathPresenter and partner CitiusTech. With healthcare-focused expertise in medical imaging, CitiusTech leveraged AWS HealthImaging services to ensure ConsultConnect delivers the very best imaging performance and data integrity, including whole slide DICOM file upload functionality. AWS HealthImaging is a purpose-built, HIPAA-eligible service for medical imaging in the cloud, giving customers the performance, scale, and low total cost of ownership needed for large pathology workloads. AWS services provide robust security measures specifically designed for handling patient data across various healthcare entities. With AWS managed services, PathPresenter is providing low-latency, petabyte-scale digital pathology in the cloud.
Early Adopter Program
ConsultConnect will be available to select institutions through an early adopter program. For more information on this program and deploying ConsultConnect, see us at the USCAP Annual Meeting in Boston, MA, March 24-26 in booth 509, or visit www.pathpresenter.com/consultconnect/.

PagerDuty Inc (NYSE:PD) delivered revenue of $120 million, representing 8% growth at the top of their guidance range. Non-GAAP operating margin reached 20%, exceeding their target by 500 basis points. Significant improvement in net-new paid customers, driven by a new commercial digital acquisition strategy. Strengthened strategic partnership with AWS, expanding integration capabilities and serving nearly 6,000 joint customers. Public sector expansion achieved FedRAMP Low authorization, enabling federal agencies to leverage AI and automation capabilities. Dollar-based net retention was 104%, reflecting higher than expected customer downgrades in the enterprise segment and elevated churn in the commercial business. Transitional dynamics in the go-to-market motion led to inconsistent sales and marketing execution. Organizational transitions and go-to-market execution challenges impacted Q1 results. Revenue growth guidance for the full fiscal year 2026 was revised down to a range of 5% to 7%, compared to the previous range of 6% to 7%. Enterprise churn was noted, with downgrades due to company mergers and cautious spending due to macroeconomic uncertainty. Q: Can you discuss the enterprise pressure and the impact of rapid innovation in IT and DevOps, particularly with generative AI? Are enterprises hesitant to commit to multiyear contracts due to market evolution? A: Jennifer Tejada, CEO: The primary issue is execution rather than market hesitancy. We experienced gaps in customer engagement due to significant transformations, such as reassigning territories and onboarding new reps. However, new logo growth, especially from AI companies, indicates strong demand. We are confident that our experienced sales force will drive stronger execution in the latter half of the year. Q: The full-year guidance implies revenue growth exiting the year at 5%. How derisked is this guidance, and what precautions were considered? A: Howard Wilson, CFO: The guidance is prudent, reflecting organizational transitions and go-to-market execution challenges in Q1. We expect improvements in bookings in the latter half of the year as sales reps ramp up, but the guidance accounts for early-year challenges. Q: What adoption trends are you seeing for new modules like PagerDuty Advance and Enterprise Plus? A: Jennifer Tejada, CEO: Adoption is in early stages, with strong interest in our generative AI solutions. Customers appreciate the chat-native experience and our ability to integrate with platforms like Teams and Slack. We are reducing friction by seeding access to new features across pricing packages and enabling easier access to AI products. Q: Can you provide more color on the enterprise churn and downgrades? Was this broad-based, and how did it impact the quarter? A: Jennifer Tejada, CEO: We saw elevated churn in SMBs and downgrades in enterprise due to factors like company mergers. The macro environment remains uncertain, but we are focusing on helping customers realize operational efficiencies. Our quarters are more back-end loaded, and April was particularly challenging. Q: How did non-incident management products perform this quarter, and what trends are you seeing? A: Jennifer Tejada, CEO: AIOps continues to lead growth, with new use cases emerging, such as helping customers manage observability costs. Our AIOps offering is maturing, and customers are using it to prioritize tech debt reduction and manage operational risks. AI could unleash ‘deep societal upheavals' that many elites are ignoring, Palantir CEO Alex Karp warns
Amid the debate about AI's impact on the workforce, Palantir CEO Alex Karp said the technology can have an overall additive effect, 'if we work very, very hard at it.' But he cautioned that if the industry doesn't make that happen, the result could be 'deep societal upheavals' that many elites are ignoring. There are already signs that AI is shrinking entry-level opportunities. One of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI revolution warned that the technology could also create massive fissures in society—unless the industry works hard to prevent them. Alex Karp, CEO of data-mining software company Palantir, was asked on CNBC on Thursday about AI's implications for employment. 'Those of us in tech cannot have a tin year to what is this going to mean for the average person,' he replied. That comes as AI increasingly gets incorporated into the daily tasks of workers, boosting their productivity and efficiency. At the same time, there are also signs that AI is shrinking opportunities for young workers in entry-level jobs that traditionally have been stepping stones for launching careers. Meanwhile, Palantir has been at the forefront of using AI at the enterprise level. The company is known for putting its AI-powered platforms to work in the defense and intelligence sectors, but it has also been expanding in the commercial space. Most recently, it partnered with TeleTracking, a provider of operations platforms for hospitals and health systems. On Thursday, Karp said the kind of AI that Palantir is doing can be 'net accretive to the workforce in America,' but only if 'we work very, very hard at it.' He pointed out that it just because it can happen, that doesn't mean it will happen. The industry has to make it so. 'We have to will it to be, because otherwise we're going to have deep societal upheavals that I think many in our elite are just really ignoring,' Karp said. The warning is especially notable coming from a leader in the AI field. But Karp has also urged the tech sector to take on bigger problems. In a recent Atlantic essay adapted from their book The Technological Republic, Karp and Nicholas Zamiska, Palantir's head of corporate affairs and legal counsel to the office of the CEO, blasted Silicon Valley for focusing on 'trivial yet solvable inconveniences' and abandoning a long history of working with the government to tackle more pressing national issues. Others in the AI field have also offered dire predictions about AI and the workforce lately. Last month, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei says AI could wipe out roughly 50% of all entry-level white-collar jobs. In an interview with Axios, he said that displacement could cause unemployment to spike to between 10% and 20%. The latest jobs report on Friday put the rate at 4.2%. 'Most of them are unaware that this is about to happen,' Amodei said. 'It sounds crazy, and people just don't believe it… We, as the producers of this technology, have a duty and an obligation to be honest about what is coming.' And OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said this past week that AI agents are like interns, predicting that in the next year they can 'help us discover new knowledge, or can figure out solutions to business problems that are very non-trivial.' Meanwhile, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said at the Milken Institute's Global Conference last month that while workers may not lose their jobs to AI, they will lose them to 'someone who uses AI.'
