Suniel Shetty's Border is the biggest hit of the actor's career and his character became instantly popular. 29 years later, the makers are coming with a sequel that will see the return of Sunny Deol, and joining him will be Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Shetty's son Ahan. This time, the directorial reigns will be taken care of by Kesari (2019) fame Anurag Singh.
The war-drama is expected to release on the eve of Republic Day 2026. And talking about his son at the launch of Aquatein (India's first Collagen water) recently, Shetty said, 'He's watched me and learned, just like how I learned from my father.'

'His metabolism is much better; Taller, leaner, he looks better. But he puts in the hard work. He puts in one and a half to two hours every day of his life. I might do it five days a week, six days where he trains probably six days a week and then take the aftercare is also important,' added the star.
The actor also revealed, 'The food, the cold plants, the sauna, I learned from him. I sit with him, I talk to him, he tells me, 'Papa, do this, don't do this.' And I listen.'
Talking about his own diet and fitness at the age of 64, the Border star said, 'Whatever you eat at home is healthy, I don't have any diet. Mom cooks, wife cooks. I need to know the quantity of food that I have. I avoid fried food. I avoid white. There is bread milk, everything because it doesn't suit me. So you've got to understand that. New Delhi: Varun Dhawan has officially wrapped up shooting for his upcoming war drama, Border 2. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film also features Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in key roles. Border 2 's production house, T-series, shared a video of the cake-cutting celebration on Instagram. The clip featured Varun surrounded by the film's cast and crew, including director Anurag Singh, co-star Medha Rana, producer Bhushan Kumar, Shiv Chanana and Binnoy K Gandhi. The actor cut the cake with a resounding chant of " Bharat Mata Ki Jai". The Border 2 team also visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar. The group posed with folded hands in front of the shrine. The film is a sequel to the 1997 blockbuster film, Border. It was based on the events of the Battle of Longewala during the India-Pakistan War of 1971. Border originally featured Sunny Deol alongside Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Sudesh Berry and Puneet Issar. Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Tabu, Raakhee, Pooja Bhatt and Sharbani Mukherjee also played supporting roles in the film. Border 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta and is presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in collaboration with JP Dutta's banner, JP Films.
