Inside Love Is Blind's AD and Ollie relationship from altar rejections to Perfect Match
AD and Ollie have shared their unique love story with fans Love Is Blind UK season two is almost here, with brand new singletons taking part in a unique experiment to find love. Premiering on Netflix on August 13, Love Is Blind UK will once again see contestants going on 'dates', secluded in their own pods, without laying eyes on each other. Only when they are engaged will they take their relationship to the next step and meet face to face. After its success following the first season, this year promises to bring more drama and chaos. From professional singers to primary school teachers, a fresh bath of singles are all hoping to find the one, with one particular hopeful being guided by his "spleen". But as we gear up for the highly anticipated new season, we've taken a look at one particular success story, AD and Ollie. Fans may remember Amber Desiree "AD" Smith appeared on Love Is Blind US whereas Ollie Sutherland actually appeared on Love Is Blind UK in 2024. Altar rejection Ollie's Love Is Blind appearance was far from smooth sailing. Despite securing a connection with Demi and the pair meeting face to face, it was their wedding day where it all went downhill. Their journey showed Demi fighting with insecurities during their engagement and his apparent attraction to someone else. On their wedding day, Demi said no, much to the surprise of fans. Ad also saw heartbreak at the altar when she appeared on Love Is Blind USA season six, in what was arguably the most talked about season. Despite hitting it off with Clay, he too called things off at the very last minute. Huge announcement Fans were surprised during the Love Is Blind season eight reunion when AD appeared on the show and announced her engagement to Ollie. During the show, the pair not only revealed that they are now a couple, but that they also met on the new season of Perfect Match. According to Netflix's Tudum: "While filming a promo, Ollie shocks AD by getting down on one knee and proposing to her. Through her tears and excited screams, she accepts, marking the first time singles from different editions of the franchise have found love." Perfect Match Airing on Netflix, Perfect Match brings together the most famously single stars from other series like Love Is Blind and Too Hot To Handle in another attempt to find love. As they compete to form relationships, the most compatible couples will play matchmaker, breaking up other couples and sending them on dates with brand-new singles they'll invite to the villa. Season three launched on Netflix on August 1 and saw AD and Ollie explore their potential relationship. While fans are behind on the show, their real life relationship has since moved on. AD and Ollie now Not only are AD and Ollie engaged, but the two announced they were also expecting a baby earlier this year. In May, the stars took to Instagram to share the heart-warming news. AD wrote: "We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the amount of love we've been receiving from you all!! We couldn't be more excited for our little bundle of joy - Mom & Dad." And the comments came pouring in as one fan said: "I don't why I'm smiling and tears running on my face you're the best couple." Another added: "Watching perfect match just so I could watch y'all fall in love. I'm so happy for you AD Congrats on becoming a mama babe." Love Is Blind UK Season 2 premiers on Netflix on August 13.

Calvin Harris heartbroken as Scot DJ's pet 'murdered by idiot neighbour's dog'
Calvin Harris has shared his devastation following the death of his beloved pet Smokey as he fumed his neighbours' dog had 'murdered' him. Calvin Harris has been left "gutted" following the death of his beloved pet as he claimed they were "murdered" by his neighbours. The Dumfries DJ, who recently welcomed his first child, shared a photo of him holding his beloved cockerel Smokey as he shared the sad news. He paid tribute to the cockerel alongside a snap of him topless in his large garden, reports the Mirror. Calvin wrote: "RIP Smokey we love you. Raised this lad from chick to a majestic cockerel. "Murdered by the idiot neighbours grimey dog. Absolutely gutted." Last week, he shared the happy news the couple had welcomed a baby son on July 20. He shared sweet snaps from their home as they have been wrapped up in their love bubble. One Kiss hitmaker Calvin shared the very first picture of his newborn son and announced the beautifully unique name the couple have chose for their first-born child. Alongside an adorable photo of the couple's newborn baby cuddling into his dad's chest, Calvin wrote: "20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here! My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah." In the collection of photos Calvin shared announcing the birth of Micah, it was revealed that Vick had a water birth as she was seen in a blue birthing pool surrounded by candles. The Scottish DJ's Instagram post also featured a 'jump scare' as he posted a picture of Vick's placenta before going on to post more pictures of how the couple preserved it. This technique involves steaming, dehydrating, and grinding the placenta into capsules for consumption. Calvin and Vick chose to keep their pregnancy under wraps for as long as possible before finally announcing the happy news back in late May. Vick broke the news to her fans while finishing her last BBC Radio 1 show before heading on maternity. She said: "I should say that this is my final week. "I wanted to share that with you because we've had such a lovely time over the last few weeks. That time is coming to an end for a bit because I'm going on maternity leave next week." Former Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing piped in "You're an amazing friend, an amazing person, and you're just going to be an amazing mum." Vick then went on to share why she didn't formally announced she was expecting a baby. She explained: "This is not an announcement, by the way. People keep saying are you going to announce, are you going to announce? And I'm like, I'm not the King. I do not see the point, it's not for me. I'll be honest, I struggle with anything that's personal or private. "I will tell you a story about eating a kebab out of a bin, that's one thing. But there's a line and so I've never been that big on sharing. Particularly because I've just been enjoying this privately and quietly." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Alexander Isak handed shirt number by Newcastle despite speculation over future
The 25-year-old Sweden international, the subject of a rejected £110million bid from Premier League champions Liverpool, has been left to train alone since withdrawing from the club's pre-season trip to Singapore and South Korea citing a thigh injury. Magpies head coach Eddie Howe revealed at the weekend that the former Real Sociedad frontman was fit, but could not be considered for selection having indicated he wanted to explore his options this summer. Confirming our squad numbers for the 25/26 season! 🔢 — Newcastle United (@NUFC) August 12, 2025 However when Newcastle, who value the player at £150m, published their squad list for the new campaign on Tuesday, his name appeared alongside the number 14, the shirt he has worn since his £63m switch from Sociedad three summers ago. The number nine shirt vacated by Callum Wilson and previously worn by the likes of Geordie greats Jackie Milburn, Malcolm Macdonald and Alan Shearer, remains vacant. The squad list was announced as the battle over Isak, who has three years remaining on his contract at St James' Park, raged on behind the scenes. Speaking after Saturday's 2-0 Sela Cup defeat by Atletico Madrid, Howe was both diplomatic and firm about the situation. He said: 'I think I've said many times, he is contracted to us. He's our player. The club basically make the decision on his future. I don't know what that will be. 'Of course, I have a preferred outcome on the best and strongest squad possible, but also I want players that really want to play for this football club.' The Magpies have insisted since the end of last season that Isak would not be sold this summer and although a bid close to their asking price might leave them with a decision to make, that remains their stance. However, amid suggestions that the player could be reintegrated into the squad, sources close to him were briefing that he would not play for the club again. Newcastle, who were already looking for a replacement for Wilson, have taken a pragmatic approach and have made significant efforts to recruit a series of forwards. They have missed out on Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko but remain in the hunt for Brentford's Yoane Wissa. But they will not countenance selling Isak even at the right price if they cannot plug the sizeable gap he would leave, and neither of those requirements has yet been met. One player who has left Newcastle is Greece goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos, who has joined Sevilla on a season-long loan.
